Taxonomically Unbound – Heron the Side of Caution
Let’s say you eat a wading bird and the meal doesn’t agree with you. Are you filled with egret.
Taxonomically Unbound – Blunderbuss
Would a blunderbuss be a super awkward kiss at a shotgun wedding?

Coming up this weekend, April 4-5, is HavenCon, and LGBTQIA geek and gaming convention in Austin, TX. I’ll be there with all of my sweet, delicious comics, and will also have a bunch of Northwest Press books at the booth.
You should definitely come check it out!
Cheers,
Dylan

Quiet leaf is a powerful sedative that’s used as a general anesthetic during surgery. The upside is that it’s easy to regulate the dose and thereby avoid killing your patient. The downside is that it’s addictive.

Valley of the Silk Sky page 11, ECCC, and QUEER COMICS EXTRAVAGANZA

Emerald City Comic Con is nearly upon us! You can find me at table F-04, in what is turning out to be the Queer Qomics Qlub. I’ve actually lost track of who all the queer comics people are in the F-block, so just, I dunno, bring your bags of money there and and set ‘em down.
What all will I have for you? Well! The hot-off-the-presses print edition of Politically InQueerect: Old Ghosts and Other Stories, the Valley of the Silk Sky chapters 1 & 2 minicomic (which will debut at ECCC), and, of course, copies of Transposes and QU33R. Also, free VoSS bookmarks!
ALSO. Tomorrow night (that’s Thursday, March 26, 2015) I’ll be on the panel at Gay City Arts presents Meet the Author: Drawn To Diversity 2. The link will take you to a Facebook invite with all the deets. The thing goes from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM, and is being put on by the Gay City Health Project (517 E Pike St, Seattle, Washington 98122).
That’s quite a bit going on, isn’t it. If you want to keep track of the whosits and the whatsits, probably your best bet is to follow me on Twitter: @DylanNDREdwards
Cheers,
Dylan

Taxo Unbo returns! Pre-ECCC panel at Gay City Arts in Seattle!
I’ve put together a couple more Taxonomically Unbounds. New one just posted here on Studio NDR. It’s also up on Tapastic and Tumblr, if those are your preferred delivery methods.
I actually have quite a backlog of awful punnery to cartoonify (as you already know if you follow me on Twitter), but my main focus is on Valley of the Silk Sky. Don’t worry, though, I seem to have an entire lobe of my brain devoted to punning, much to the consternation of my friends and family.
Anyhow, Emerald City Comic Con is a mere week away (table F-04, don’t you know). If you’re going to be there, you might perhaps be interested in this event at Gay City Arts the night before, on Thursday March 26th. I’ll be on a queer comics panel, talking about … QUEER COMICS??? Shocking, but there it is.
Cheers,
Dylan
Taxonomically Unbound – Octoperspective
If I avoid doing drawings that require vanishing points, am I limiting my perspective?

Also starring difficult lighting and adorable vermin.
Now, as to this Beyond Anthology Kickstarter, well, it is live RIGHT NOW. And I have a 16-page Valley of the Silk Sky story in there, exclusive to the book.
Featuring 18 stories by 26 contributors, Beyond is a 250+ page, black and white, queer comic anthology, full of swashbuckling space pirates, dragon slayers, death-defying astronauts, and monster royalty. Each story celebrates and showcases unquestionably queer characters as they explore the galaxy, mix magic, have renegade adventures, and save the day!
Go foist your currency upon this project and be rewarded with queer sci-fi and fantasy comics!
Cheers,
Dylan

And then sometimes Razi’s problems are entirely of xer own making (three or four pellets would have been plenty).
