Steven Universe AU: Centipeetle Lion

I don’t know what it says about me that THIS is what issues forth from my brain after watching Steven Universe. Other than “I’m a big ol’ weirdo.” I just got really obsessed with the idea of a Centipeetle-Lion mashup. I put it up on Tumblr as well, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Valley of the Silk Sky page 27, SDCC trans panel on CBR, Northwest Press sale

lgbtqia YA science fiction webcomic Valley of the Silk Sky

VoSS page 27 features lots of people being surprised about various things. What are they surprised about? Find out here:

on the VoSS tumblr
on Tapastic
on Studio NDR

So THAT’S probably fine, right? I’m sure everything will be fine.

And yes, more coverage of the SDCC Writing Transgender Characters panel trickles in, this time with an article on Comic Book Resources. Props for not going with a Caitlyn Jenner headline (srsly, trans people existed before Cait, cis media).

Finally, my publisher, Northwest Press, is having a summer sale! Observe these deets:

queer comics sale Northwest Press

Use the coupon code STILLSUMMER to get 30% off anything in the store. That includes Transposes, Politically InQueerect, QU33R, and lots of other titles!

VoSS page 26, SDCC trans panel roundup

queer YA sci-fi webcomic Valley of the Silk Sky

Valley of the Silk Sky page 26 has arrived, and it features curious goings on. Read:

on the VoSS website
on Tapastic
on Studio NDR

Did I mention Chapter 1 was going to be on the test? Well, Chapter 1 is on the test. BUT, I guess if you need to, you can refresh your memory of how repellents work by rereading page 10.

Also, if you’re curious to know more of the Writing Transgender Characters panel that happened at SDCC a couple of weeks ago, I did a round-up post on Tumblr with some additional commentary to fill out some details relevant to the posted article.

Cheers,

Dylan

VoSS page 25, reading in Denver this weekend

queer YA sci-fi webcomic Valley of the Silk Sky

New page of Valley of the Silk Sky is up for your reading pleasure:

on the VoSS website
on Tapastic
on Studio NDR

Since you were paying close attention to the minor background minutiae on page 8, and were no doubt taking notes, you already have some clue as to who Cobb might be.

Gosh, I wonder what other details from chapter 1 are about to become relevant.

Also, assuming I have fended off the con crud by then, I will be part of the lineup this Saturday, July 18, at Mutiny Information Cafe in Denver. A bunch of us will be reading from our comics, selling our books, and then checking out the band that’s playing after. Should be a fun time!

SDCC2015 was also a fun time for sure. The Writing Trans Characters panel went really well, and it was great to see a bunch of folks I really only see this one time of the year. Thanks to everyone who came by and bought books, or just stopped to chat. I unfortunately took home with me a light cold, so I’m going to go back to bed, I think.

Cheers,

Dylan

lgbtqia YA science fiction comic Valley of the Silk Sky

Valley of the Silk Sky page 24 is up a day early due to Comic Con shenans. Read it here, why don’t you:

on the VoSS website
on Tapastic
on Studio NDR

Gosh, who are these folks, I wonder?

Speaking of wondering things, if you’re wondering where to find me at SDCC, here’s the breakdown:

lgbtqia comics by Dylan Edwards at SDCC2015

My books will be available for sale at the Northwest Press table in the Prism Comics booth (#2144). There will also be a bajillionty other amazing queer comics for sale in that booth, so obviously you will want to go there immediately upon arrival. I’ll be hanging around the booth here and there, should you desire to get yer stuff signed.

I will be on a panel with several other trans artists on Thursday, July 9 at 5:00 PM in room 28DE. Writing Transgender Characters it’s called. Can you afford to miss this? I put it to you that you cannot.

EXCITEMENT. THRILLS.

Cheers,

Dylan

VoSS page 23 is here now, SDCC is here soon

Valley of the Silk Sky queer YA science fiction webcomic

Valley of the Silk Sky page 23 finds Razi in a spot of bother. Read all about it here:

on the VoSS tumblr website
on Tapastic
on Studio NDR

Meanwhile, San Diego Comic Con is even more nigh than it was last week when I proclaimed it to be nigh. And next week it shall be the nighest of all. You will mostly be able to find me at the Northwest Press table in the Prism Comics megabooth (#2144, or just look for the gayness).

Also. ALSO! You should absolutely, definitely come to the panel I’ll be on, Writing Transgender Characters, on Thursday July 9, 5:00 PM, in room 28DE.

What else. I just wrapped up a short piece for an anthology that I believe will be coming out this fall, or possibly winter. More deets on that as I have them.

Now it’s back to working on VoSS. The thumbnails of Chapter 4 are all set, so it is time to pencil, gosh darnit.

Cheers,

Dylan
