Memorial Day

Memorial Day is quickly approaching, and we’ll be getting offers for “weekend specials” at stores, free book downloads (see previous post) and family outings and barbecues.

But let’s not forget what this day is really all about. It’s about honoring the patriots who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. So eat, drink and relax, get some good deals on merchandise. And take a few minutes to reflect on our heroes.

New Novella

Hamilton “Hamfist” Hancock is back flying! This time, it’s in a new 5200-word novella, Radiant Crossing.

It’s Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, 2013. Hamilton “Hamfist” Hancock is in command of a Boeing 777, over the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, flying from London to Chicago. Suddenly, without warning, most of the electronic equipment on the aircraft becomes inoperative. Fortunately, the communication radios still work, and Hamfist determines that every other airplane over the Atlantic has suffered the same malfunctions. And none of the aircraft are able to talk to anyone on the ground.

Hamfist must decide where to take his aircraft that will best protect the safety of his 200 passengers. And he must make that decision soon. Very soon.
