RIP SIR CHRISTOPHER LEE (1922-2015)
Nothing makes me sadder than the loss of a creative genius, when a great talent shall add nothing further to a great body of work. Last week on June 7th, we lost one of the great icons of cinema, Sir Christopher Lee.
As Dracula, he fascinated and terrified me at the same time. He brought a presence to the big screen that I have rarely seen emulated. Though those great movies are dated in comparison to that which is produced in the modern era, he brought an anger and intensity to his depicti...

RONNIE JAMES DIO (1942-2010)
This weekend saw the 5th anniversary of the death of one my lifelong heroes, Ronnie James Dio. Ronnie is considered by many as being the best vocalist of his generation in the heavy rock/heavy metal genre. I advocated for 30 years that he was the best out there, but he is universally recognised as such now that he has passed.
He is famous for forming Rainbow with former Deep Purple guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore, in 1975. Four years later, and after some memorable albums, he joined Black Sabbat...

THE NEW EDITION OF BOUND BY BLOOD – OUT TODAY
The new edition of Bound By Blood is finally on release today.
Bound By Blood was the first of The Dracula Chronicles to be released in December 2012, even though it is Book #6 in the series. It is the first book in the second five-book arc, Bound By Blood, and the book that introduces Dracula the vampire.
I was never fully satisfied with the original and felt I had rushed its release somewhat. So, after another re-write, I sent it away for fresh edits and by the time I had completed the 10th d...

THE ALL NEW BOUND BY BLOOD. COMING SOON
Now that the Vlad Dracula arc is up and running with Books #1 and #2 For Whom The Bell Tolls and The Path To Decay, I have turned my focus back to the Bound By Blood arc, the part of the story where I introduced Dracula the vampire in Book #6. For the last six months, Bound By Blood has undergone re-writes and has been sent to the USA for fresh edits, and now a final re-write. Bound By Blood will released anew on July 18th and what was previously Bound By Blood – Volume 2, will appear in Octo...

THE 5 GREATEST HORROR MOVIES EVER
Hi everyone.
This week, I’m going to list what I think are the 5 greatest horror movies of all time, or the 5 that had the greatest effect on me of the many hundreds that I have watched.

It’s sad to admit this, but I was already a teenager, though barely, when this movie came out. Although a comedy at times, this remains a classic horror story set on the frequently-used premise used in the 1980’s of teenagers getting cut up or murdered in the woods. The difference here is that...

THE RE-CREATION OF A LEGEND
There are few names in popular culture today as famous as that of Dracula. I would go as far as to say that in the western world, the name conjures up an image of one description or another for anyone who hears it, anyone above the age of twelve at least. For me personally, as a youngster anyway and even now to an extent, I see the face of Christopher Lee, who will always enjoy immortality as the on-screen icon. Of course, the name Dracula is not limited only to western culture.
For his iconic...
