Do You Want to Know What Yuki Himura of Drawn Looks Like?

Photobucket

Well, okay, I just borrowed this image. He's actually Saizo from Shall We Date: Ninja Love, which I just have to say is THE BEST GAME EVER!

I posted this in my blog, but since it takes forever to update here I'm reposting it. IMHO one can never get enough of Yuki! Hahaha.

Actually, I'm also looking for a photo I can use for Domenico Moretti. Any suggestions?

Say hi to Yuki Himura!

Picture Okay, it's not really Yuki Himura but this is how I picture him, hehe.
He's super hot, and hey, isn't that KC being teased again? =D

For those who are curious, this guy is Saizo. He's from Shall We Date: Ninja Love, a dating sim game with a fantastic storyline! And really difficult HEA endings to achieve!

If you give the game a try, the link of this image will take you to a walkthrough for Saizo's storyline. =D Just in case you need a lifeline or something.

But for now...

Lemme feast my eyes on this deliciously bishounen-like character. He really does look like Yuki IMHO.

Happy and Sad All Rolled into One

The BAD / SAD news first so that we end on a good note.

A while ago, I took to Twitter and talked about something that really pained me.

You see, like ALL writers are - I started out as a reader and still am. I am just as much a fan as the next reader is when it comes to superstar authors like Stephen King, JK Rowling and my personal favorites like Preston and Child, Mary Janice Davidson, Nalini Singh, EL James, RK Lilley...so you know I DO NOT HATE ON AUTHORS.

Which is why I was completely shocked and disappointed when I found out that at least 1 person who had not-so-nice stuff to say was a WRITER as well. I mean, really? You know how hard it is to write a book! Granted, my books aren't always perfect but you know how hard it is to write one! How each book is like your baby and anyone who says a bad word about it is like a knife to your chest. I don't mind readers saying stuff about my books especially since they paid for it, but as a writer -really?

And really -I know it's nice to be witty and all, but I say leave that to the professional critics. As a writer, it would be more than enough that you say the plot isn't to my liking. I mean why be soooo --- ugh. You see, I was taught by my parents to just shut up if I don't have nothing nice to say. So I find it totally sad that another writer would be so negative about someone else's book. Live and let live, you know?

BUT HEY ENOUGH ABOUT THAT. WE STILL HAVE HAPPY NEWS TO CELEBRATE LIIIIIIIKE

The Werewolf Prince and I is.... (as of this time)
#569 overall in Amazon's paid market
#22 in Romance>Fantasy
#30 in Erotica.
Top 100 in Erotica and Romance>Fantasy in Amazon UK
#665 overall and Top 50 in Erotica and Romance>Fantasy in Amazon CA
There's another #10 ranking but basically it's just another version of Romance>Fantasy.

Evren is...
#44 in Romance>Fantasy
#64 in Teens>Romance

Soooo thank you for this! I cannot thank you enough!

And while you're waiting for these two's sequels / companion books, how about giving my other books a try?

Drawn - I keep saying, I know, but only because this book is special to me so I really hope you guys give it a try - is just like TWPaI in high school! But this time with a Russian-Japanese hottie. Who is so sexy even I can't stop reading this book over and over. *lol*

Death Loves Me Not - Again, I keep promoting this but only because I like the ghosts I've "created" here. If you love Asian horror flicks like I do, then YOU. SHOULD. READ. THIS! I kid you not!

Drawn, Death Loves Me Not, The Werewolf Prince & I Back to PAID Market

Yup!
My publisher has officially moved all three back to the PAID market. I hope readers who weren't able to download any of the 3 will be willing to pay $.99 for each book. You can always check out the excerpts to see how I write. :)

UNFORTUNATELY, THE PAID VERSION OF THE WEREWOLF PRINCE AND I DOES NOT FEATURE THE UPDATED AND EDITED VERSION OF THE BOOK. But I promise to update you guys as soon as it's available and live in Amazon. I also want you to download a cleaner version of it!

On to good news ---

The last few days have been absolutely phenomenal! I'm just really blown away that a lot of you guys enjoyed reading Drawn and The Werewolf Prince & I. I've been posting this over and over in Twitter and Facebook, but because I loooooooove how the books went viral even for just a day or two, I am going to post it again here.

STATS FOR DRAWN
#4 in Teens>Romance, Top 40 in Romance>Contemporary and Top 60 in Romance (parent category) and finally #138 overall in Free eBooks.

STATS FOR THE WEREWOLF PRINCE AND I
#3 in Erotica, #3 in Romance>Fantasy, and Top #60 in Romance (parent category) and finally #114 overall in Free eBooks.
But wait there's more for TWPaI
It also ranked quite well in other countries.
UK ----
#1 in Erotica and #31 in OVERALL rankings for free eBooks
Amazon.de ---- (Germany, et al)
#1 in Erotica, #1 in Romance>Fantasy,  #5 in foreign language e-books, and (although it didn't show up) based on its rankings it should have made it to the Top 100 overall ranking for free eBooks, too.

STATS FOR DEATH LOVES ME NOT
Top 1xxx for overall rankings and Top 100 in Horror.

Oh, and before anything else ---
I hope you got to read this super lovely review of Drawn in MsCandyReadsALot blog. She was so awesome in her review I actually thought she was Filipino like me and she was just being nice because we're from the same country. Lol. But no - she's actually from the Caribbean. Imagine! Me. A writer from the Philippines. Connecting to someone from the Caribbean!

Come to think of it, I'm happy to say I got to connect with readers from all over the world because of my books. That's a really cool thing. I got to speak with Zoe from the UK in Goodreads - among many other lovely people there, Veronica from the US over at Facebook, and in Twitter I've seen people from different countries follow me.  I got to connect with a few Filipino readers - like Chie - too, which is always cool. With a little digging, I also know that one of those who reviewed TWPaI in Amazon is from Germany - thank you for that amazing review! =D

Honestly, many - but yes, not all, we can't please every one and I can only do better next time - reviews have been really wonderful! So much so I actually asked my publisher if she paid some of the people who posted reviews of my books, lol. But NO SHE DID NOT. She says that's bad practice. So now I'm doing my *happy dance* again because that means all the reviews are genuine. Hehe.

Well, that's it for now.

I'm excited now that all my books are back in the paid - the rankings may be more brutal, but that just makes them all the sweeter, right?

Again, feel free to drop me a line here or tweet me or post a message in Facebook (I respond really fast as long as I'm awake and not writing) any time you want to talk about books. =D Especially about Death Loves Me Not because honestly I really love that book and I am DYING to have someone - who's not blood-related or my friend - to talk to about it!

Download Edited Version of The Werewolf Prince & I and Vote Drawn

As my blog here hasnt caught up with my site yet, Let me just reiterate that AN EDITED VERSION OF THE WEREWOLF PRINCE AND I will be available soon.

Secondly - thanks to someone who reviewed Drawn - I stumbled upon a list Books You Wish More People Knew About (Part 2). Drawn got a vote there and I added my vote as well. I thought about which of my 4 I should add and decided to stick with what's already there.

Hopefully, you can vote for Drawn as well!

Edited Version of The Werewolf Prince and I UP SOON

I've received reviews and messages about the lack of polish of TWPaI - I am so sorry for that!
It was supposed to have one last final edit before it went live but alas. I am fixing everything myself right now so that you will have a new version to download (for those who downloaded it while it's free) and that paid readers definitely won't have anything to complain about!

And I just want to absolutely stress that this issue with editing will only likely come up with TWPaI (again apologies fo this). Professional editors have gone through the other three books I have out in Amazon. I'm just really bummed that this one I had neglected to recheck myself before it went live.

But on to better news.

Rankings have been awesome so far for all three!
The Werewolf Prince and I as well as Drawn are both Top 10 in its categories. Overall rankings for the two are #200+ and #300+ respectively.
Death Loves Me Not is in the Top 100 of its category (both for US and UK editions) and nearing the Top 1000 overall. :)

What really surprised me, though, was that The Werewolf Prince and I is also doing very well in the UK market. It is also in the Top 10 of its category.

Reviews - in average - have been more than okay, which of course makes me super happy. I hope you keep 'em coming! :)

So that's it for now. Thank you again to those who took the time downloading and reading my books - and reviewing it even! That really, really means A LOT!

Download It While It's Free

In a nutshell, that's what THE BIG SURPRISE was all about. :) Many of you are probably aware that Kindle Select books may be offered for free downloads for 5 days (doesn't have to be consecutive) every 3 months. I'm not sure if my publisher will offer the 3 new books I have out for 5 consecutive days so I strongly recommend that you download them ASAP. :)

Sure, it would be nice if you purchased them instead - but I'm still at the stage where getting as many people as I can to read the books is more important. Besides, Evren is still ranking high enough to keep the $$$ going. Hehe. Oh, and thank you for those who did purchase and like Evren. =D I get really, really happy whenever I read your lovely reviews for Evren!

But anyway, back to the 3 new books I have out. I'm really happy about them, too. I'm not familiar with how fast the rankings should change for free ebooks but whatever the case may be I'm super proud that in less than a day both DRAWN and THE WEREWOLF PRINCE AND I climbed to the Top 1000 already. Aaaaaand then - this is a shocker for me since I know not too many people are into horror - DEATH LOVES ME NOT also climbed to the Top 2.6K for overall ranking for free ebooks in Amazon.

Maybe that's normal. I don't care. I am freaking happy about it still. But of course, I'd be happier if we get all three to the VERY TOP. Mmmm...like Top 500 for the next goal? Hehe. We'll see!!!

Thanks for those who downloaded the books! I hope you get to read them soon and I'm crossing my fingers you'll love them as well!
