The Good and Bad

Let's start with the bad news. Suit and Fangs & Park and Violet have been delayed BUT it will be out soon - a lot sooner than you think so please just be patient.
On to the good news...
Those two books are both single titles! No sequels! HEAs guaranteed! :)
Oh and we have a couple of new covers to celebrate... Picture First off is the updated / slightly modified cover of How (Not) to be Seduced by Billionaires (the compilation). If you haven't read this yet, you can presently download Book 1 Chased for free!

Picture Aaaaaand then we have THIS!
The new manga-ish cover of Drawn: His Secret Toy!
Isn't it lovely? I don't know about you, but I totally, totally, totally heart it. Isn't Yuki gorgeous here? This wonderful cover was created by the equally wonderful Benjamin Marrero. You can check out his other works here. I'm telling you - all his drawings are awesome, and I won't be surprised if I he has his own manga / graphic novel published one day.

I've already sent the new version with the bonus chapter yesterday. It should be live anytime soon. However, I'm not sure how those who purchased a copy previously can get the new version. Maybe delete and then re-download the book again? One thing I know - if you're using a Kindle app - and not the device itself - then you can delete the app and reinstall it. When you download all your books again, they'll be the updated version. But that's just what I heard from a friend - I''m still checking out alternatives so I can advise you on what to do.

Well, anyway, that's it for now! I don't really have much updates to share with the other books coz even now I'm a little delirious coz of my meds. PMS then fever - not a good combination, I'm telling you!

Blurb Alert: When I Moan - Good Girls with Secrets #2

So I'm really, really excited about the new cover of Drawn: His Secret Toy, which is the first book of the series. I've seen the drafts and they're amazing. Once it's out, I'll definitely share the artist's name so you can all check his drawings. You'll fall in love with them, too, I promise.

Anyway, it got me to thinking about Book 2...It will NOT have the same pairing though. It will be a companion novel of sorts, a single-title featuring a new couple. But Yuki and KC from Drawn will be there and have bit roles in it. In fact, when the new cover is out next month you will find the bonus chapter including not just Yuki and KC but a character from Book 2 as well.

The Blurb----
When I smile I think about how lucky I am, to have the three hottest guys in uni doting on me, wanting to spend all their time with me, fighting with each other for the right to take me home.

When I scowl I think about how unlucky I am, to have three crazy protective jerks as stepbrothers, scaring away every boy in town while all the girls hate me because all they see is me and never them.

When I cry I tell myself I will never do anything to jeopardize what we have. Dad and the three boys are everything to me. I am lost without them, and I'm so scared I will lose them one day because I don't deserve their love.

But oh when I moan, I tell myself it's just for work, that as a voice actress for a smutty anime it's my job to make the audience feel as hot and bothered as I am.

When I moan no one should know I can only feel this beautiful terrible need to touch and be touched by secretly fantasizing about him. The gorgeous superstar I'm going to be paired with. The one every girl wants to own, and the man I’m forbidden to have because he’s the stepbrother I’ve fallen in love with.

And so I just moan, the pain driving me crazy. One day, he’ll fall for another girl, and then I’ll have to close my eyes, pretending I love someone else just so my true feelings will never show.

Do you like it? I hope so. I'm not sure when this will be out - but I'm estimating it will be done by August at the latest. Not too far off, right? Next time, we'll have the excerpt out, maybe for our next newsletter or with the new cover of Drawn, too. We'll see!

Suit and Fangs Excerpt

So this is a little late in coming…but I think you’re used to that by now, right? My bad! *bows head in shame*
Off topic: did you know that because I was always late (if not absent) in school our class adviser (I’m thinking that would be homeroom teacher for you) decided not to take my name off the list of absentees / late comers on the blackboard? So now you know. =D
Well, anyway, enough dilly-dallying and let’s get on with it.
Here is my promised excerpt of Suit and Fangs. Hope you like it!
My heart broke at just the familiar feel of his presence, a deceptively quiet sense of power that could strike hard at any moment, just like a snake with venomous fangs. Immediately, my bedroom – which was colossal in anyone’s standards – suddenly felt too small and too warm.

His shoes were the first thing I saw – hand-sewn beautifully stitched leather, un-branded because Luka wasn’t the type, and custom-made because he liked things perfect.

Swallowing, I let my gaze move up.

Gray slacks. They were typical of Luka as well since he almost never wore jeans – not unless I specifically asked him to. And of course his suit jacket – I couldn’t remember a time he hadn’t been wearing a suit the moment he hit puberty.

And finally my gaze reached his face.

My heart crashed against my chest. Shit, oh, oh, shit, I had so not bargained for this!

Power was one of our greatest turn-on, attracting us like moths to fire, and right now, Luka’s tightly harnessed power---a force that pulsed and throbbed so strongly it was impossible to ignore---it just made him the sexiest man alive in any Caro girl’s eyes.

Breathe, Caylie. It took several seconds before I could make myself look at him again. Gulp. Double gulp. Triple, quadruple---my throat stopped working with all the gulping I was doing, all intentions of being poised and unaffected in his presence thrown out of the window. Just looking at Luka made my knees quake, and the longer he stood there in waiting silence, the epitome of patience, like a freaking unshakably solid mountain, just made me want him more.

This was so not the plan.

He was just a year older than me, but now Luka felt centuries – millennia – older. What the hell had he been doing the past two years or so that he had become so powerful, so dazzling it was like he had swallowed an entire star and absorbed all its energy?

Beautiful was a blasphemy if it were used to describe Luka Georgiades now. He was so much more than that, making me itch to frame him so I wouldn’t have to share him with anyone else. Those bright locks of his hair, his pretty violet eyes, and damn it even his glasses just made Luka sexier! It made you want to be the only girl who could take them off.

“Hello, Caylie.”  I started at how cold his voice was, like we didn’t have history together. I knew he sounded like this with everyone – but not with me. He wasn’t like this with me before.

Luka wasn’t smiling.

Oh, so now I didn’t even deserve a freaking smile, even one that was entirely faked?

Relax, Caylie.

I lifted my chin, saying just as coldly, “Luka.” I raised my glass to him, saying in a carelessly bored tone, “Welcome back to my life.”

His lips tightened.

Good. He hadn’t expected that. But a part of me was offended – had he actually expected I’d welcome him with open arms?

His gaze traveled all over me, staying almost uncomfortably long on the deep-V neckline of my black silk blouse and taking its time studying the length of my legs which my black-and-white polka-dot shorts flaunted.

I told myself I wasn’t bothered even though something hatefully familiar fluttered inside my stomach at his intense scrutiny. Since Luka left, I never got to feel this way again with any other guy.

“You look well,” he murmured finally. “How have you been?”

His use of small talk was something I expected, and I relaxed even more because it meant I could stick to the plan. Luka was always like that, following the rules of courtesy to the last letter. Luka was the type to die rather than be less than civilized and maybe he’d also rather kill than let someone show rudeness in his presence.

“I am fine. And you?” Slowly, I stood up, my lids drifting halfway closed as I took a sip. When I raised my gaze and lowered my glass, I saw it.

That glitter in Luka’s violet eyes was unmistakable, and wearing even the most opaque pair of glasses would never be able to hide the truth in those eyes.

Like any Caro, Luka had perfect vision, but also like any Caro his eyes had an unnatural sheen to them, making it glow like gems. Most of us could do with contacts, but Luka’s was literally shinier, enough to temporarily blind humans without being safely buffered by his eyeglasses.

Glasses or not, there was no hiding the reality of the raw and scorching hot desire in Luka’s eyes.

Oh, he wanted me.

He so fucking wanted me.

I offered him my glass, asking sweetly, “Want a sip?” I arched my neck a little, tempting his gaze to see the furiously beating pulse on my throat, knowing it would make his blood burn even more hotly.

Luka’s eyes glittered.

Yes, you bastard. Want me. Need me. Desire me. I hoped he would fantasize about me tonight and for all the nights that we would be together, so much that he would be on his fucking knees by the time I was through with him.

And then he surprised me by taking the glass, our fingers brushing against each other, and I sucked my breath in, the heat emanating from those fingers simply off the charts. My knees shook harder.

Our gazes locked with each other as he slowly took a sip, and this time he was the one arching his neck, exposing his own pulse.

I gritted my teeth. It was that or wet my lips, which would tempt me to close my eyes and imagine sucking on his pulse. I used to do that. We used to do that. It had been so, so freaking arousing that it drove us crazy with desire.

He lowered the glass from his lips and when he returned it to me, I was careful not to have our fingers touching again. I took another sip, murmuring after, “How have you been?”

Luka’s shoulders, broader than what I remembered, moved in an effortlessly elegant shrug. “My life is the usual, thank you for asking.”

My lips tightened. The usual for him now was a life without me then?

He took a step closer to me, making me want to back away and only my bitterness against what he did in the past kept me in place.

“I assume you know why I am here.”

Wrinkling my nose in feigned disgust, I said in my most bored voice, “Yeah.”

“Yes,” he corrected immediately, like I knew he would.

I gave him another sugary sweet smile. “Yeah.”

Luka’s eyes narrowed. “I see why your parents have called me. You are even more stubborn now.”

I shrugged. “Whatever.”

In a gentle voice that startled me, he murmured, “Your parents are worried about you and so am I.”

Those last words made me laugh, more bitterly than I wanted to reveal. “Worried?” I asked with a mocking smile. “After almost three years of zero communication? Puh-lease, Luka. I may not be as smart as you are but I’m not stupid either.”

His lips tightened even more. “You’ve changed.”

My smile glittered, but it also became more brittle. “Just enjoying my life the only way I know how.”

His frown darkened even more. “I know that you know what you’re doing is not a good way to enjoy life. I hear you’ve been drinking poisoned blood all the time.”

Actually, I wasn’t. It had been all for show – for him.

Again, I shrugged. “Every kid my age does it.”

His nostrils flared, and I knew he was closer to losing his temper – a rare sight, but one could hope. “Your grades are abysmal.

“I’m a Sonora, in case you’ve forgotten. I’ll never get kicked out.”

“And you stay out late every night---”

I let out a yawn. “What good would being a Caro do if I can’t stay out late? It’s not like I can party in the sun, can I?”

Luka’s voice hardened. “Well, I’m sorry to tell you this, Caylie, but all those things have to stop now.”

Shit. That coldly commanding tone skittered over my spine, making me want to shiver. Why, why, why was everything about Luka Georgiades so much more of a turn-on now?

I raised a brow, murmuring, “Really?”

Luka’s expression became steely. “Yes.”

I crossed my arms over my chest, knowing it would push my breasts up. “And how do you propose to do that?”

For a fraction of a second, Luka’s legendary control wavered, his beautiful manners forgotten as his gaze strayed down.

Yes, yes, you cold-hearted bastard. Do you want to touch them, cup them, suck them?

I said blandly, “Well?”

When our gazes met once more, he was flushed, fists clenched, back ramrod straight – the very picture of a man in the verge of breaking.

Poor Luka.

Having one of the finest minds of our race was simply not enough to save him from what was the most common of man’s downfall – thinking with his dick instead of his brain.

“Well?”

Luka’s eyes narrowed---an indication that he didn’t like how I was talking to him. Even so, his voice was calm and matter of fact when he answered, “If I have to spend every second with you just to keep you on the right track then that is what I will do.”

Liar, you liar!

I took a deep breath, trying not to show how his words…hurt.

I wished it didn’t, but it did.

Luka, you promised.

I could remember how broken my voice sounded when I…

Luka, please, you promised.

I had begged him, and he had still left me.

A Domenico Moretti Scene in My Secret Professor Boyfriend

My Secret Professor Boyfriend - the story of Domenico's younger brother Alessandro Moretti - was supposed to be out before ARH because this story took place before it. However, since ARH will come out first, I think it's best that I also share this little scene just to give readers an idea of how Domenico Moretti was while apart from Misty.
Something hit his face, making his head swim as he flew across the room, his back scraping against the floor as he fell.

          “Fuck.”

Footsteps thundered towards him. When Alessandro opened his eyes, several pairs were staring back at him in concern. He shook his head and groaned at the pain that resulted. “Fuck,” he said again.

His twin laughed. “Dio, after winning five – ten – against one in public brawls at Lyccan Hall and now you get knocked out by our ancient lovesick brother?”

The said ancient lovesick brother casually, subtly gave Alejandro a shove, one of full force and enough to have his twin flying to the opposite wall with a grunt.

Even though it made his head hurt, Alessandro laughed while he let Domenico help him up.

“I was joking,” Alejandro complained, rubbing his shoulder as he straightened.

“Are you fine?” Concern lined Domenico’s voice. “You could have blocked that shot easily – you always do except now. Is there something bothering you?”

Seated at one of the benches inside the fighting hall of their parents’ mansion, Alessandro caught the ice-cold Gatorade one of the Moretti guards on duty tossed to him. “I’m good.”

“Yeah, right,” Alejandro muttered as he threw himself on the other bench and leaned against the wall. He rotated his shoulder. “That was a low blow, big bro.”

          Domenico gave him the finger.

Alessandro laughed. Domenico Moretti was the oldest in their brood, the undisputed heir as leader of their pack, a prince of his own right as far as Lyccans were concerned. And to the world, he was no less famous, as one of its most powerful billionaires.

Once, every Lyccan had been in awe of him, had whispered his name with reverence, but now Domenico Moretti was a shadow of his former self, a laughingstock because all the women were saying that he couldn’t get his cock up anymore – not after his human wife had left him with the faeries.

As one of his sisters put it, it was like Blake Lively leaving Ryan Reynolds for Perez Hilton.

It did not make sense, and it did hell to a man’s reputation.

“Why don’t you ever answer?” The words were torn out of his throat.

          Domenico was silent.

Alessandro exploded. “All those lies, and all those fucking jerks and cowards talking about you behind your back, not having the courage to say it to your face---you’re the strongest, the most cunning Lyccan I know. Why don’t you give them a lesson---”

          “Look at me, Alessandro.”

It was the command of a future pack leader, and though he didn’t want to, it was in his blood – in his very nature – to heed it. Alessandro whitened in shock. Ever since Domenico had lost it after Misty left, he had never been able to look at his brother in the eye.

Ever since he was a child, he had looked up to Domenico. Their father had always been away for business, and their mother had gone with him. Danilo – the firstborn – had gone with his parents, too, leaving Domenico – the second-born - to care for them. Even though there had only been a few years separating Domenico and his younger siblings, he had been their tower of strength, the one they ran to for advice, to play with, and one who comforted them with hugs when they had been little.

Even when Danilo had died and Domenico and Dio had their cold war, even when Domenico had withdrawn to himself, he had still been there for Alessandro and his siblings. When Misty came to their lives, she had changed them because she had changed Domenico – had made him happy again, really happy.

But when Misty had left, she had also broken Domenico.

And sometimes, Alessandro had silently wished that Misty had never come to their lives.

She had made Domenico appear so pathetically human with his weakness, his silent suffering. And all these months she was gone, Alessandro hadn’t been able to make himself meet Domenico’s eyes because he was scared that if he did – if he saw how weak Domenico had become at Misty’s disappearance, he would lose all respect for the brother he had idolized for so long.

Even today, Alessandro would never have gone in a sparring session with Domenico if their father had not laid down the law.

God, he had it so wrong.

Domenico stood a few feet away from him, bare chest glistening with sweat, which looked even more buffed than the last time Alessandro had seen him. Had Domenico stuffed himself with Lyccan-friendly steroids since Misty flew to Faerie-la-la-land?

But it wasn’t just the impressive show of testosterone that had Alessandro want to kick himself. Several times.Even though there was sadness in Domenico’s eyes, there was nothing weak about him. If something had changed, then it was that his older brother appeared stronger now. He looked wiser, more humble – but somehow, all those simply lent Domenico an aura of almost-tangible strength.

“Well, fuck me,” Alessandro said finally, shaking his head at his stupidity – his blindness. He took off his shirt, which was literally drowning after the drilling Domenico had given him, and threw it to the ground. “No wonder you don’t mind about what those idiots say. You’re being kind to them.” He meant it. The way Domenico was now –

He shook his head, still a little stunned at the transformation that Domenico had undergone. “You should have just knocked some sense into me.”

“I don’t think so,” Domenico drawled. “I liked seeing you make an ass of yourself too much.”

          “Fuck you.”

“I’m not into that kind of Brokeback bonding, but Alejandro---”

He glanced up and saw forgiveness in older brother’s eyes, just before Domenico said quietly, “Welcome back, brother.”

Alejandro pretended to wipe a tear from his eye.

“Fuck you, too,” Alessandro told his twin even though he couldn’t help grinning.

His twin smirked. “No thanks, too.”

Alessandro had to ask, “How can they not see how much you’ve changed?” Domenico was like a god now – or the closest a future pack leader could be.

“The eye,” his twin answered in a voice that sounded like Nosferatu reincarnated, “cannot see what it does not want to see.”

Alessandro threw his empty Gatorade bottle at Alejandro. “Shut up.”

“It’s true, dude,” his twin said with a fake earnest tone even as he caught the bottle and threw it back at him. “You were such a blind ass. You thought Dom was pussy-whipped---”

          “He was,” Alessandro said.

          “Well, okay, he was---”

“Do you two want me to kick your pussy-like asses?”

They grinned at him, all innocent.

Domenico laughed. “That look…I remember getting that every time I had to ask who snuck off with my car, who stole the keys to the summer house in Tahoe, who---”

“That’s all in the past,” Alessandro and Alejandro said simultaneously.

All three of them laughed this time.

Domenico walked towards him and pounded him on the back. “I’m sorry I worried you.”

“You didn’t,” he said gruffly, but suddenly there was a sick feeling in his stomach, one he did his best to ignore. Kassia.Kassia.Kassia.Kassia.

          Snap.

Alessandro blinked just as Domenico drew his fingers away. “Now, I’m getting seriously worried about you.”

Alejandro got to his feet, the customary playful expression on his face not to be seen. “What’s wrong?”

He shook his head even though he felt sicker by the second.

          “Alessandro.”

He scowled. “Don’t use that pack-leader tone on me.”

          Domenico just stared.

Alessandro closed his eyes and groaned, elbows on his knees as he bent forward, kneading his forehead even though what he really wanted to do was pound his head to keep the memories at bay.

“I think,” he said slowly, “I made a mistake.”

“What,” Domenico asked just as slowly, “kind of mistake?”

          “I…liked a girl.”

Alejandro whistled or at least he tried but was cut off. By the sound of Alejandro’s choking, Alessandro guesses his twin got a warning karate chop to his chest.

          “And?” Domenico prodded.

“She was…great.” He paused. “Like Misty was great.” Fuck, fuck, fuck.

          Kassia.Kassia.Kassia.

All he could see, hear, think about now was her.

“Like how Misty is great,” Domenico said sharply.

Alessandro didn’t take notice of that. He had his own shit to deal with now. “I…did something, blew my chance with her, and---”

          “And?” Alejandro demanded.

          KASSIA.

“I didn’t come after her.” He forced himself to look at his brothers. “Is it too late?”

Alejandro didn’t answer, simply turning towards Domenico also in askance.

His older brother didn’t smile. But in a quiet voice that spoke loudly of just how strong his feelings were about the subject, Domenico said, “It’s never too late if you love her.”
