NEW RELEASE: Innocence by Elise de Sallier
Available Now!InnocenceA Forbidden Love – Book Oneby Elise de Sallier
Summary
Forced to flee her father's brutal heir, Anneliese Barlow masquerades as Lisa Brown, a servant, in the grand country mansion of the Duke of Worthington. Facing danger at every turn, she discovers the life of gentility she had known was a virtual fairytale, reality a dark and forbidding place.
Captivated by the beautiful maid, Lord Marsden decides the only way to keep her safe—and close—is by offering her his protection. With all hopes of returning to her previous station lost, Lisa surrenders her virtue to the man she has come to love. Finding unexpected passion in Nathaniel’s arms, her senses are awakened to a world of sensuality she had not known existed . . . a world not without grave risks.
If her identity is uncovered, Lisa’s innocence won’t be the only thing that’s lost.
Reviews
Lindsey Gray - Author on Author Book ReviewThis novel seems more like that of a seasoned historical romance novelist than a debut. The knowledge of the time period and customs is breathtakingly accurate. Ms. de Sallier’s portrayal of Lisa and her struggle to understand the world that was taking shape around her was brilliant and a thrill to experience. All the differences between Nathaniel and Lisa are quite evident from the start, but Ms. de Sallier’s depiction of their attraction and intimacy make them perfect for each other. I devoured the 313-page copy I received in one day. I don’t even recall the last time I enjoyed reading a book of that length and read so incredibly fast. I highly recommend this book to any historical romance lover. If you enjoy the novels of Rose Gordon or Christine Merrill, Innocence should be the next book on your to be read list. (Excerpt)

I could not put this book down. Innocence was well written and engaging. I enjoyed the mystery, suspense, and hot love scenes that are not in many historical romance novels. Great start to a new series. Highly recommended.

From it’s elegantly designed cover to its superb writing, Innocence is a skillfully constructed Regency. It is so convincing in its historical guise that I was shocked when I read that it originated as a Twilight non-canon fan fiction. NEW RELEASE! Renewing Hope by Jennyfer Browne

The Second Novel in the IN YOUR WORLD Series
On December 15, 2013 The journey for Kate Hill and Nathan Fisher continues…
Kate Hill hopes to leave her English past behind her in order to be accepted by the Amish of West Grove, and marry her love, Nathan Fisher. But as she struggles to win over her Amish neighbors, she discovers that the sordid past of the Bishop’s son has caused a rift in the small community. Shunned for living the English lifestyle, Benjamin Yoder finds a friend in Kate, and wonders if there is hope in returning to the Amish life he misses.
Nathan Fisher wants his old friend, Benjamin, back with the Amish for many reasons- by forgiving Benjamin his English transgressions; surely the community will accept his Kate. With the Bishop’s steadfast obstinacy towards the English blight on his flock, it will be up to Kate and Nathan to heal their community by bringing home the son of the Bishop and renewing hope in the Amish through forgiveness.
Excerpt
Perhaps this was the last test for members wishing to join the Amish- supper with the Bishop’s family to dissect the candidates one last time. So as the men entered the kitchen, with Nathan and Benjamin nervous under the Bishop’s critical eye, I tried my best to show everyone all that I had learned and lived by.
I was quiet.
I prepared a plate for the Bishop before anyone else.
I kept my gaze solidly on my water glass unless spoken to.
I spoke softly.
I didn’t dare look up at Nathan although I could feel his eyes on me.
I could feel every eye on me.
“What do you plan for the spring, Nathan?” I heard the Bishop ask halfway through the meal.
“I hope to increase my crops for the spring,” he said, his voice timid. “Perhaps wheat this year, or soy.”
“How do you plan to do more when it is only you?” he asked.
Nathan cleared his throat and I could hear his fork slide on his plate.
“I have hope that I will not be alone come spring.”
The room was quiet for a moment, the only sound that of chewing and forks along dishes.
“My son has his job at the mill. I do not see him offering much aid come spring.”
“No sir, I do not intend to rely on Benjamin to help in my tasks,” Nathan replied and cleared his throat again. “I hope to have my wife to help.”
Another awkward silence.
“And if you do not marry?” the Bishop asked. “You have hardly any stores for winter now. Jonah has taken your livestock to help you, but even he cannot support you.”
“I intend to marry, Bishop Yoder.”
I made the mistake of chancing a glance around the table, my eyes going wide at the scene.
Nathan stared intently at the Bishop who waged his own war glaring at me, while Benjamin looked to his mother for help. Naomi was the only smart one in the group, keeping her eyes on her peas as she pushed them around on her plate. Finally the Bishop’s wife let out a noise and placed a hand on her husband’s arm, pulling his searing gaze from me.
“It is time for Nathan Fisher to marry. That house has seen its mourning. It is time to fill it with children once more,” she said and smiled my way. “Katherine Hill may have a past we do not know, but she has brought our son home and his friend back from a darkness that would have swallowed him. I look forward to spending time in the sewing circle with her.”
The Bishop turned his gaze slowly back toward me, his look an unreadable mask once more as he spoke. “We shall see.”

Sneak Peek Sunday from Author to AUTHOR: Sandi Layne
The year is AD 834.The place is Wexford, Ireland – once known as Éire. The Green Island. The man is Agnarr Halvardson from the village of Balestrand in Nordweg. Years ago, as a younger man, he raided Éire and found himself drawn to the island and her people. Now, he's returned. He isÉire's Viking
Sneak Peek:She was just about to open her mouth to tell him she didn’t want any tea but wanted to hurry home, when the air seemed to get heavy around them and lightning cracked in the thickening clouds overhead.“Thor!” The Northman’s face filled with awe and dignity. He gripped the talisman he wore around his neck and said something she couldn’t comprehend. Thunder followed and then another three strikes of lightning in quick succession.“God in Heaven, have mercy on us,” Aislinn whispered, poised for flight. Her heart pounded and her breath came in shallow gasps as she tried to think whether it would be best to hide in the trees or just try to run ahead of the storm. Or perhaps they should just keep walking?Crack! Sssnap! A strange, violent sound preceded the top of a tree catching on fire. “Fire!” she shouted, wondering what the Northman was thinking, standing still in a storm like this.He laughed, casting his arms out from his sides and smiling up at the flashing skies. “Fire!”He had remembered the proper word for it, which briefly distracted Aislinn, but she moved quickly to his side, pushing her pleasure in his understanding of some words aside. “Come! We have to get away from the fire.” She tugged on his rain-wet arm. “Come!”“Né, né. Fire. Bra. Ja.” With a nod, he covered her hand where it was still on his forearm. “Come,” he said, glancing down at her. That he had used her own word again made her smile and his own definitive, pleased expression slid away to something with a greater intensity. “Aislinn . . ."Éire's Viking is to be released on January 23, 2014 by The Writer's Coffee Shop.
Author Bio:
There are many profiles that detail the author’s lifelong dream of authorship being realized with the publication of their first novel or short story. This is not one of those profiles.
To make an exceedingly odd story moreso, Sandi Layne had no wish to be a writer, but went through a storyline bootcamp in the form of strange dreams for a month and took careful notes. Fifteen years later, she’s still writing stories that veer slightly off the beaten path, both in Christian and historical fiction.
Married for more than twenty years to a very tolerant (and brilliant!) man, she has two sons, no pets, and a plethora of imaginary friends. Her interests range from ancient civilizations to science fiction for both reading and research. With degrees in English and Ministry, she also claims Theology’s crimson Masters collar which she has been known to don on rare occasions. A Christmas Proposal by Sherri Hayes
A Christmas Proposal

Matthew Andersen knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Cali Stanton. Since she came into his life just five months ago, his world had completely changed for the better. With everything in their lives finally coming together, he was determined to make their first Christmas a memorable one.
Excerpt
He spent almost an hour washing and cutting fruit, prepping breakfast for the next morning. Breakfast in bed was the first order of business. It would get things moving in the right direction and hopefully show Cali how special she was to him. Before her, his life had been a series of things that needed to be done. She’d opened him up, made him relax and enjoy life a little. Cali made things less predictable.

With Cali living with him, decorating had felt right. She’d sacrificed sleep so they could pick out a live tree together, and buy other holiday themed items. They’d spent several hours covering nearly every surface in their living room with some hint of Christmas. Each little touch made their house feel more like a home instead of just a place to live.
She did that. Not just with the Christmas decorations, but with everything.

About The Author

At the age of thirty, all of that changed. After getting frustrated with the direction a television show was taking two of its characters, Sherri decided to try her hand at writing an alternate ending, and give the characters their happily ever after. By the time the story finished, it was one of the top ten read stories on the site, and her readers were encouraging her to write more.
Six years later, Sherri is the author of six full-length novels, and one short story. Writing has become a creative outlet for Sherri that allows her to explore a wide range of emotions, while having fun taking her characters through all the twists and turns she can create. She is most well known for her Finding Anna Series about a young woman rescued from being a sex slave by a wealthy Dominant. The third book in that series, Truth, released July 25, 2013.

The Northern Gate by J.C. Clarke BLOG TOUR

On December 6, 2013 the first of four volumes of The Edelyn Legacy released on Amazon.
The Northern Gate by J.C. Clarke

Genre: Fantasy/Romance
Add it on Goodreads HERE

Summary:
According to the Bible, God created the world in seven days, but what if the beginning happened before Humankind documented it for posterity?
Humans didn’t see everything clearly, because they didn’t understand. They turned away in fear, forgot the beings that had come to Earth and, over time, the Seraphim became nothing but a legend, a bedtime story. Corruption and greed, bred from hatred and evil, spread across the face of the earth as Humans evolved and developed. It was in this filth, and amongst the seven deadly sins, that Tabitha Morgan was born and kept alive, hidden in plain sight from the darkness.
For seventeen years, Tabitha thrived under her grandmother’s guardianship, living a normal life and not knowing the truth about her heritage or the roots from which she came.
That all changes the day a handsome stranger named Nathan walks into her life. Will the ancient secrets he holds be enough to earn her trust? Is it the Light, or does Darkness await them beyond The Northern Gate?
Excerpt:
The thick bonds ate into the prisoner’s pale, filthy skin, and it bled against the steel. He was numb to the pain now. Instead of letting the misery cripple him, he smiled with a dark grimace and channeled the biting sting into anger. Knowing they thought he was weakening, though he was far from it, he had bided his time. With each new moon, he had grown stronger; he was fighting back. The prisoner was going against what was in his blood by nature; he was resisting what his father had given him, the tainted blood.
For centuries, maybe even longer, he’d been held in that small cell, not being fed except when his captors saw fit, and he’d spoken to no one. His jailers refused to even breathe near him, let alone converse. All he’d had to occupy his time were his thoughts and the constant, slow trickle of water seeping down the damp walls of his underground prison to pool at his feet.
Soon, the time would come when he would be free of the tomb in which he’d been encased, and he would be a person of freewill once again; he would make sure of it. So very soon.
The prisoner planned to ensure he would hear, and remember, the sounds of his captors’ deaths: every bone crushed would be a manacle opening and the sound of tearing flesh, a choir of the Seraphim.
His freedom was paramount if he were to accomplish the job he’d been given so many millennia ago. He would end the vicious circle of chaos and fear his world had been turned into.
Every mark and scar on his body would serve as reminders of what he had been birthed to do, willing him to follow his destiny. A course had been set for him to walk the earth to complete his mission: to find her. His goal was to hunt her down and tell her everything that had been kept from her: who she was, who she belonged to, and where she came from.
He would become her protector.Would fight for her.Live for her.And die—for her.

Guest Post:
The Edelyn Legacy is a fantasy series, with four books planned. Can you share with us what has gone into not only tackling a series, but one where you've created new worlds and 'rules'?
I did decide on four books, didn’t I? What the hell was up with me when I decided that?
When I first decided to pen an original story, I had no idea where I was going to go with it and looking back on it, my original plan is nowhere near what I have now. I knew, though, right at the start that I couldn't fit everything into one book. Then, the more I wrote, the longer the plot became as I got new ideas and I gave up thinking about squeezing it into two or three.
And then it became four (fingers crossed it stays there).
Tackling this monster of a story has been easy in places, but hard in others, because the characters have taken over their own story. The two main characters have their own issues to deal with, and while Nathan knows where he stands in Tabitha’s life, Tabitha doesn’t have a clue.
I don’t know whether I’ve created new worlds or tweaked very old, existing ones, but I do like to call them my own for the time being and play with them when I can. The rules, however, are my own and as I’m not really one for rules, I like to break them.
I know as readers delve into the books to come, they will point out several parts and say ‘that’s not right’, but why isn’t it? This is the fun of fiction and writing your own story. You can change, bend, and break the rules as you see fit.

Excerpt:
Trenton stops halfway up the stairs and glances over his shoulder. “Is something wrong?”I remain on the step below him and pry my hand from his. “I already know what’s up there. I don’t need to see it.”He lifts his eyebrows. “And what would that be?”“Well, let’s see.” I tick off the list on my fingers. “You’ve shown me your dining hall, library, conservatory, playroom, ballroom, parlor, and weapons room—almost every type of room known to man—so I can say with confidence that this wing houses the bedrooms, more specifically, your bedroom.”A smirk plays across Trenton’s lips. “Why does visiting my bedroom bother you? Are you afraid I’ll have a better chance seducing you there as opposed to other rooms in the house?” I roll my eyes, despite that the notion of him seducing me in any capacity sounds all kinds of amazing. “No, I just don’t think your ego would be able to recover after I refuse you again.”My heart leaps as he descends to my step, his eyes dark with desire and determination. “Then you leave me no choice. I’ll just have to seduce you right here.”I keep my chin up. “What makes you so sure I’d cave?” Trenton brings his hand around the back of my neck and pulls my face closer, resting his warm lips against my ear. “Because your blush gives you away, Miss Peters.” My hand flies out to steady myself, landing right in the middle of his chest. The corners of his mouth lift triumphantly. I close my eyes as he strokes the back of my neck and presses his lips to mine, softly and sensually, though his embrace feels purposeful. Soon, he eases me backward and presses me against the wall. My breath hitches as he lifts my hands and pins them over my head. “Damn it, I want you.” He lets go of my wrists and runs his fingers up my bare thighs to my butt, hiking up my dress. “You have one hot body, you know that?” He pulls at the back of my thong and lets it go, snapping the strap against my skin. I yelp and drop my arms to my sides. He smirks. “Nice panties, too.” “Make sure those hands don’t wander beneath those nice panties, got it?” Trenton moves his hand back to my butt. “That’s your loss, Miss Peters.”With a devious smile, I tug on the ends of his loose tie and bring him closer until our noses touch. “No, I’d say the loss is all yours, Mr. Merrick. Now please obey my rule and kiss me.” A low growl reverberates in Trenton’s throat as his lips capture mine. They aren’t reunited for long. My head falls back against the wall with the commencement of his thrusts, and within moments, my legs are wrapped around his waist and my hands are buried in his hair. The rhythm of our bodies is a divine blend of desperation and all-consuming passion, Trenton’s dedication to my pleasure dragging me into a sweet abyss of desire where I lose my bearings, willing to completely let go and trust him to take care of me at my most vulnerable.“Tell me how I make you feel, Sara.” Trenton drifts his lips across my cheek, kneading my ass with his strong hands.I struggle to reply through my panting. “What about how I make you feel?” “This isn’t about me,” he says, dispensing hot kisses down my neck. “I will always put you first . . . always.” I gasp from the sensation of his tongue venturing lower . . . teasing . . . swirling.“I want to take you to my bed, Sara.” Another hot kiss to my neck. Another brush of his tongue along my skin. “Let me do this right, like you deserve.” I smile and shake my head. “Not going to happen. Not tonight.”Trenton presses me firmer against the wall. “Then I’ll finish this right here.” He removes one hand from my ass and massages my breast over my dress. My head flies back on a whimper; my hands make a mess of his hair. “I want you to come for me, Sara.” His thumb and forefinger tease my nipple while his mouth stakes claim to my throat. “You want that, too, don’t you?”“Oh, yes. Yes!” I close my eyes as his sensual kisses and the feel of him between my legs usher me toward my release. Then someone clears their throat. And it’s not Trenton.
