4 Magical Stars! A captivating, bewitching story that reads like a modern day fairytale!

Set in the mystical Smokey Mountains, this story starts with 13 year old Angelina partaking in her right of passage, by lighting a candle, and chanting the magical words that will someday bring her true love.

At the heart of this story is the underlying theme of finding your soul-mate, your other half, the one that will hold your heart forever, but it’s also about family and lasting friendships. There is a li

Sydney Logan charmed me in this magical story about love in the Appalachian Mountains. When a sacred ritual brings a 13yr old girls love spell for prince charming to fruition on her 21st birthday.

I was so delighted to get my hands on Sydney Logan's latest book. She's quickly becoming my favorite romance novelist. Her stories are heartfelt and sweet, framed around the redeeming power of love. So, when I learned Mountain Charm would be released soon, I pleaded for an ARC. I hoped it would captivate me (dare I say charm) me as her other stories have done.

Mountain Charm certainly didn't disappoint. The story started with a tender little scene of a mother and daughter casting a blessing spel

I loved this book so much.

A young Angelina had been thrilled to participate in the sacred ritual, but through the years, her father’s untimely death and her mother’s failing health have shaken Angelina’s magical faith to its core.

Mountain Charm by Sydney Logan is a story that keeps you wanting more. Angelina is a 21-year old woman who has had to deal with the death of her father and her mother’s breast cancer treatments. In addition to all of this, she is supposed to be a witch with a special gift of healing. Angelina’s ancestors conjured a spell for girls when they turn 13 that is supposed to bring them their true love at age 21. Angelina is frustrated with witchcraft all together because she was unable to cure her pare ...more

Mountain Charm starts off with a hint of magic. On her thirteenth birthday, Angelina and her mother are casting a spell that every female for generations have performed. At the time she had stars in her eyes and a hopeful heart.

As the book starts, Angelina's heart has been broken and her belief in the spells and magic of her family has waned. Her best friend is very excited that today is the day! Surely Angelina's soul mate will appear on this, her 21st birthday! There are some very amusing mom
Mountain Charm tells the story of Angelina, who comes from a magical family and who cast a spell at age thirteen for her true love to come to her on her twenty-first birthday. When that day arrives and she meets Dylan, she can't believe he could possibly be the one destined to love her, and she is wary of forming a relationship with him. Can he earn her trust and love, and is his love for her real or just the result of a wish a little girl made eight years before?

I really loved this charming book. Sydney paints a life in the Appalachian Mountains that may be different, but is welcoming.

The heroine, Angelina, has a difficult background and is dealing with a sick mom. Initially, she shies away from her talents and from making an emotional commitment to Dylan. The nice thing is, she isn’t wishy-washy or weak. There’s a feisty quality to her that’s endearing when she banters with Dylan, who’s a swoon-worthy guy determined to win her over. In fact, one of the

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this a little while ago. I really, really loved this story. It was fun and sweet and just.... magical. (hehehe) Yet again I am impressed with Sydney's writing talents.

I'm not one to go into the synopsis (chances are, if you're reading this, you already know it.) and I hate reviews that tell you the whole story so I won't be doing that. What I can say is that this story was everything I was hoping it would be. It just proves that some wishes really do come

Sydney Logan returns with another heartfelt and sweet romance, set in the hills of Easter Tennessee.

The book opens with a magical candle and a young girl on her 13th birthday casting an Appalachian spell to find true love when she turns 21, a tradition that the women in Angelina Clark's talented family have long practiced.

We meet Angelina again on her 21st birthday. The hopeful teenager who cast the spell is gone, replaced with a sad and scared young woman who no longer believes in magic after

“True love and sweet whispers, till death do us part;
Send someone to love my Appalachian heart.”

At the age of thirteen, Angelina Clark lights a candle and whispers the same love spell her ancestors did at the same age. As the years go on, Angelina grows jaded and looks at magic and being a witch as more of a burden than a blessing. She doesn't believe in that old love spell or that her true love will appear when she turns twenty-one.

Do Appalachian Mountain witches really exist? That’s exactly what Dylan Thomas sets out to find out in the sweet love story, Mountain Charm. Sydney Logan has created another engaging plot, and you’ll be convinced that love charms and healers are real.

I love this author. Hers are the perfect "settle in with a cup of tea & your cat on a rainy day" sort of stories. Having mostly grown up in East Tennessee, I get a real charge out of the local shout-outs. (And I'll have her know, we do have trees in Nashville. They smell dreadful when they bloom in the spring, then they eventually grow to be so top-heavy that a good storm will knock them down. Hopefully not on one's house. It's awesome, really.) That said, if this were written by anyone else, I' ...more

I was lucky to receive an ARC of this book.

Angelina is a witch but she hates her powers because she feels like they've failed her. When she turns 21, everyone around her is waiting for her true love to come that she wished for on her thirteenth birthday. Enter Dylan Thomas, reporter from Nashville. He's there to do a story on the Clark family and their magic. Angelina's mom takes an instant liking to Dylan and tells him he can write the article.

I will start out by saying that author Sydney Logan is one outstanding, amazingly, captivating writer. When I start to read a book and it not only grabs by cover, title, not to mention the author, but the first chapter draws me in and absolutely places me.. within the pages of the story then I know that more than ever I will not lay that book down. Well let me begin by just that! I wholeheartedly could not put Mountain Charm Down!!!

I will admit at first I was skeptical. However, as Sydney does, she had me hooked early on.

I loved it.

I love Celia and how she always managed to stay positive despite everything.

Obviously, I can't give too much away, but this book is worth it...I never got tired of it (it was hard to read it before work and know that I couldn't pick it up until lunch!)

I was honored when Sydney Logan contacted me to ask if I would be interested in reading an ARC of her new book, Mountain Charm. This novel was released just two days ago and is the second book in her Appalachian Heart Collection series. If you haven’t read the first book (entitled Lessons Learned) don’t let this stop you from picking up Mountain Charm. Although the two stories share a similar geographic setting, they are completely unrelated tales and can be read as stand-alone books.

*Minor spoiler alert* So, I have a confession to make. I was a little nervous to read Mountain Charm by author Sydney Logan. You know that experience of hearing a song by a new artist and being completely captivated by it, only to have their second single be a major let down? Well, that’s what I was afraid could happen in this situation. I was completely enthralled by Mrs. Logan’s first major book release, Lessons Learned, and was afraid that maybe Mountain Charm wouldn’t live up to the expectat ...more

Angelina Clark was born into a gifted family. Spells, and charms, and supernatural gifts have been passed down for generations, though Angelina isn’t much of a believer anymore. But when Dylan Thomas shows up on her front porch the very day the love spell she cast when she was thirteen years old is expected to be fulfilled, Angelina is forced to consider that there may be something to magic after all.

Initially, she wants nothing to do with Dylan, a reporter who rolled into town (against his wil

Ya’all, this book struck a cord with me because it is set in the mountains of Tennessee. Living in Nashville myself, I have visited this area many times and there are few places on earth as beautiful as the Smoky Mountains. Angelina is a mountain witch in a long line of witches from her family tree. I was not aware that mountain witches were in a category of their own. Magic and spells plays only a minor role in the telling of this story. The spell Angelina casts on her thirteenth birthday is do ...more

I got this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Angelina Clark wished on her 13th birthday for a man when she turns 21 because that's what every woman in her family does. In Angelina's family, every girl in her family is always born with black hair and blue eyes but not just that. Every girl is born a with with a special ability and for Angelina; it's the girt to heal. However her faith in her magic fades when her father dies from cancer which leaves her helpless.
