Cherishing peace in India
PrefaceAs this write-up is very brief, it doesn’t warrant any preface, but I felt it important to write one. The preface is mostly to give more clarification regarding the topic than to give any clarification regarding the content. This paper is written only for Indian youth. There are two reasons: 1. The problems and confusions faced by Indian youth regarding their society and their nation are unique to them, and 2. Young Indians today are the last link between all the centuries combined...

How can India’s youth cherish peace?
PrefaceAs this paper is very brief, it doesn’t warrant any preface, but I felt it important to write one. The preface is mostly to give more clarification regarding the topic than to give any clarification regarding the content. Although values of Dhamma or teachings of Buddha are universal, this paper is written only for Indian youth. There are two reasons: 1. the problems and confusions faced by Indian youth regarding their society and their nation are unique to them, and 2. Young Indi...

The missing literature in Indian bookshops
At the outset, let me caution you- this is going to be a lengthy write up. So, please excuse me. Yesterday one of my brothers urged me to write a review of the book “Asura: Tale of the vanquished” by Anand Neelakantan. After I finished reading the book (yes I could finish it within 6 hours because it turned out to be Ramayna narrated from Ravana’s perspective) I realized what a tedious and essential task my brother has entrusted me with; tedious because several words such as caste,...

What is the 'f' word in the topic? Well, i am talking about 'fascist'. A fascist is someone who believes in fascism. This brings us to the question what is fascism? Well, that's not so difficult to define. Following is the definition of fascism from www.dictio...

Castist 'common man' of India
Who is this 'common man' of India? i think we need to define this (i could have used some expletive here) 'common man'. Often the print media portrays him in cartoon strips as being a powerless poor guy, earning mid-level income or no income at all. The electronic media tries its best and successfully shows real-life examples of common man described by the print media. But what both the medias hide is that he has a TV set in his house and realizes all his life's dreams through a non-imaginati...

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's role in formation of the RBI
There is a subtle conspiracy to eliminate Dr. B.R Ambedkar's contribution to India and to the welfare of global populace. One of the essential elements of the conspiracy is silence over his contribution. Another element is assigning credit of his contibution and achievements to misplaced ideals. Following is one such example.
Did you know Reserve Bank of India (RBI) came into picture according to the guidelines laid down by Dr Ambedkar? The legislative assembly passed 'RBI act 1934', its need,...

Why India skipped on Shivaji on 19th Feb ?
Five days ago it was 14th Feb, Valentine's Day and about five hours ago it was 19th Feb. I was never interested in Valentine's Day because culturally i cannot connect with theHallmark Holidays in the US. Hallmark Holidays derive their name from the Hallmark company which made greeting cards and gifts. After WWII, there were several measures taken by the American government to increase public expenditure for growth of their GDP, because production as well as consumption are necessary and essen...
