Try a little something new...
Well, I got a brand new computer exclusively for writing thanks to my wonderful parents! So, I started brainstorming and making notes last night for a new book. We shall see if it materializes into a draft, but at least it's an idea. :-)
In other news, The Cure is on a Goodreads list of Indie Authors to Watch! If you feel like it, go vote for it! It's on page 12 right now, ranked 794. But hopefully by the time you read this it'll be higher than that! :-) Vote! Lets see if we can get it on the front page of that list!!

New Year's Resolution!
So I'm a day late with my resolutions, but here they are. My first, as always, is to write a new book! I'm brainstorming ideas now, and feeling good just getting the juices flowing again. November release, here I come! :-)
Second is to read more Indie books! I am an indie author, and although I love mainstream books and don't feel reading should be a chore, I need to read more in my genre. So, in light of my current reading pace - that is reading with a 9 month old - I've resolved to read 4 indie books this year. My chosen books are on the right, and I'll leave reviews as I go. My selections aren't finite though, so if you have one to pitch, please don't hesitate! And, if I get on a roll, maybe I'll do more than 4!
Happy New Year everyone!!

The Cure is on Goodreads
Ok,
Goodreads
is something that I've wrestled with. I hesitated to put The Cure on there because of the so called Goodreads trolls - those that will relentlessly attack your book until you're basically questioning why you even live let alone write. However, it is the one and only thing I did differently for The Blackout, and that one sold so much better in its first week than The Cure has, so here goes nothing! :-)
We're also launching an Adwords campaign today so wish us luck!! And get your copy of The Cure today!

The Cure is live!
Well, it's out there for God and everyone now, so hurry up and get your copy!! :-) Here's the official synopsis!
“One life will make the difference.” Macey Holsinger has been hearing that promise her whole life. But it hasn’t saved anyone yet, not even her little brother.
The disease has claimed countless lives in the last hundred years, and the government is working hard to find a cure through human testing. Testing that has killed nearly as many people as the disease.
At sixteen, Macey has better things to think about than saving lives and submitting to any rule other than her parents’. As a budding artist, she has her whole life ahead of her, at least until she faces her own testing.
Questions plague Macey. Questions that make everyone else nervous. How can death be justified with more death? What’s the point of all this?
Answers evade her until she’s left with only one question: How much will she sacrifice in the name of the cure?
Buy it now!

Here I am!
It's been awhile! I'm trying to get better about blogging I swear! I've been working hard on finishing the first draft of The Cure, and last night I sent it off to the editor! Everything is on schedule for a November release!! I am so excited and proud of myself! I hit my goal!
Next up: Finalize the cover, create a marketing campaign, do a cover reveal, promote, promote, promote, and release!!
Today I'm testing a Facebook ad campaign for The Blackout. If it does well, I'll do it again during the release of The Cure.
Finger's crossed!
