The One Night Trilogy.
It's been quite a few weeks! The response so far to the start of my new tale has been amazing. Thank you!
Before I ramble on about ONE NIGHT, let us rewind a little and remind ourselves of a certain Lord of The Manor – our beloved Jesse Ward of my THIS MAN trilogy. Well, I say remind. Some of you may not have found your way to Central Jesse Cloud Nine yet, but I hope one day you do.
When I was concluding Jesse and Ava’s story in THIS MAN CONFESSED, I had a constant thought at the back of my mind. What on Earth am I going to write next? THIS MAN was received so well. Staggeringly well! What could I possibly capture my readers imagination with next? Like most things in the writing process, it came hard and fast and very unexpectedly. I was beside myself with excitement. One Night was suddenly a story from beginning to end, the characters clear as day, and it was playing havoc with my mind and concentration. I bought a fresh journal, jotted down all of my notes and dedicated the next month to bringing This Man to my perfect conclusion.
Then I went hell for leather with my new story.
I wanted to achieve all of the things that my readers told me they loved from my previous trilogy. But I was also mindful that I wanted to, again, write this story for me - my perfect, not because the characters or what happens is perfect, but because it will hold every element that, in my opinion, makes a compelling, can’t-put-this-damn-book-down story. It’s instinctive for me, and since instinct has served me well for the past 18 months, I’m sticking with it!
The first of the One Night trilogy is PROMISED. You’ll meet Livy, a sweet young woman who has hidden away from the world because of a history she resents. She’s led a solitary life, but that’s fine by her. Everything is how she likes it. She’s in control. She’s the master of her own destiny…until the mysterious M walks into the coffee house where she works. She’s so dazed by him and the unfamiliar feelings he spikes, she struggles to fulfil his order. Something is stirred within her – something that’s confusing to Livy, as M is far from friendly or receptive. He’s a gentleman but aloof. Completely expressionless. But he demonstrates his fascination with Livy by offering her one night with him.
She knows she should walk away. She knows it’ll only end in tears, But she craves this tall, handsome, confounding man, and sets on a journey that defies everything she’s ever lived by.
One night will never be enough…

Livy and M’s story continues in book #2, ONE NIGHT: DENIED, released November 6th UK and November 11th U.S. Then the conclusion –title yet to be revealed – will publish January UK and February U.S.
I now have two men in my life. And for you diehard Jesse lovers, I hope you can make room in your heart for another complicated, mysterious man.
