Aspiring authors, don’t panic :-)
I get many aspiring authors contact me and ask about my writing process. Most of them are daunted or worried by their own process, some are looking for guidance, and some are just flat out panicking, thinking they’re abnormal. For all you aspiring authors, what you’re going through is totally normal. Trust me, freaking out is all part of the job 
Here is my regular weekly writing process. Hope it makes you feel better…
Monday: I’m bashing out words so hard and fast, even my laptop is screaming. This is amazing! My readers are gonna love it!
Tuesday: This is f**king awful. What was I thinking? Where was my head yesterday? My readers are gonna hate it!
Wednesday: Okay, maybe I was too harsh on myself. I’m rereading and I’m loving it again! Back. On. Track. I’m so excited about this book, I might pee myself right here in my office chair!
Thursday: I might have been on drugs yesterday. This is a pile of horse manure.
Friday: (Morning) Delete, delete, delete. (Afternoon) Rewrite, rewrite, rewrite
Saturday: Throws manuscript at wall and downs wine for the rest of the day, mentally beating myself up. I’m convinced that I’ve lost my writing mojo forever.
Saturday night (pissed as a fart): Slurp & tap, slurp & tap, slurp & tap! I know there are going to be heaps of spelling mistakes, but I’ll take care of those tomorrow when I’m not half drunk. It’s all flowing right out of me now and I have to go with it!
Sunday: Correct spelling errors and smile like a loon. My mojo is back! Write, write, bloody write!
Monday: And…repeat

About the short story…
Kelly has fallen into the humdrum of everyday life. Her fulfilment is found in the washing, the cleaning, the ironing and running herself into the ground with her job. She’s not sure when it happened, but the fun, spontaneity and excitement in her life was lost somewhere along the way. So when she’s asked out on a date by a gorgeous man who demands her attention, Kelly’s not so sure she’s up for it. It’s been a while, to say the least. It would be easy to refuse, stay at home, finish that pile of ironing, and then answer some work emails. The thought of being so organised alone brings a smile to her face. But with the encouragement of her best friend, she bites the bullet and goes all out. Bye-bye ironing, hello gorgeous man. She doesn’t know where this Kelly has been, but she quite likes her, and she doesn’t plan on misplacing her again.

Forgotten Desires – A Short Story
I’m in love with the cover for FORGOTTEN DESIRES!
This short story of 5K words will be released September 21st in ebook on all platforms to help raise funds for The Eve Appeal. 100% of profits made on sales will go to the women’s cancer charity.

A short story in aid of The Eve Appeal
Many of you will know that I support a women’s cancer charity called The Eve Appeal.
I’m very excited to share that I will be releasing a short story in September, which happens to be Gynaecologic Cancer Awareness Month, to raise awareness and funds for this great cause.
The story has a title, and it also has an amazing cover! I’ll be sharing these with you next week. Like I’ve said, it is a small story (around 5K words), but has a huge message. I hope you’ll deem it worthwhile investing 0.99p on reading it, and at the same time help to raise money for The Eve Appeal. Every single penny will be going to the charity.
I hope a few of my words can make a difference to a lot of women.
