Releasing a new book...
I remember when my first book was released, I was worried/confused about getting reviews, or wondering how anyone would even find my book to download it.
Writing a book about human trafficking, though, seems to have found a niche, and - while it's not many - a few hundred people each month download Boys for Sale and Redemption.
But my new book that I just published, The Clipper of Kings, is a fantasy novel amidst a million fantasy novels. How do people float to the top and get strangers to read it?
I don't know. I sometimes google the authors, like Anthony Ryan, who released Blood Song indepedently before selling like a million copies...but he never says what he did to get people to learn about his book.
So...I'm going to try what I did before. Contact a few sites about my book being free from November 14-16 on Amazon, and we'll see if the free downloads lead to reviews which could lead to a little bit of exposure...
