97: 42 Ways to breath – Swami Anjani talks First Breath, Last Breath
Breathing seems like it should be a natural and automatic thing yet so many of us shallow breathe, hold our breath without realizing it or just in general don’t do a full breath.
There are over 200 different kinds of breathing that can transform your health, your focus, your life. Many of us are familiar with the panting breathing that pregnant women are taught to help them through childbirth. We may have heard of fire breath. If you saw the movie The Hulk, with Edward Norton, you saw that breath in action while he is training to control the triggers that turn him into the Hulk. At least I think that was the breath they were doing!t
Do we really need to learn how to breathe? Based on my personal experience the answer is a resounding yes.
My guest on this episode is Swami Anjani. She shares with us some of the 42 types of breathing detailed in First Breath, Last Breath by Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavait, founder of Kashi and Kali Natha Yoga.
We do an actual breathing exercise on the radio, and I have a major reaction to it! You know me, I participate in my radio shows on all levels. I always put myself out there as guinea pig! So settle in for this episode in a comfortable place and remember, In, Out. In Out. Breathe in. Breath out. Oh yeah, there is more in between the in and out so listen carefully!

Swami Anjani graduated from Brockport State University (New York) in 1967 with a degree in Secondary English Education. She joined the Peace Corps and served in the Philippines until 1969, training teachers and directing a program for kids suffering from leprosy.
Swami Anjani met Ma Jaya in New York in 1975; she moved to Kashi in 1979, serving as the River School’s Principal for 24 years. Swami attended the Harvard Graduate School’s Principal’s Center in 1995. She helped organize the Treasure Coast Teen Institute, a youth leadership camp. In ’02, the Congressional Youth Leadership Council in Washington recognized her for her contributions as an advisor.
She currently serves as Kashi’s Director of Community Relations and is Kashi’s representative to the United Religions Initiative. From 2003 – 2012, Swami Anjani served on the Board of Directors of the Economic Opportunities Council and as a member of the Sebastian Advisory Council of the Boys & Girls Club. She has served as the President of the Sebastian Clambake Foundation since 2006, was elected Sebastian’s Woman of the Year in 2009, and was chosen by the Lion’s Club as the Grand Marshal of the 2014 July 4th Parade.
Since 2010 she has spoken several times at Unity/Ft. Lauderdale during their September Interfaith Month services. In October, 2015, she represented Kashi at the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Salt Lake City. Swami Anjani has spoken at Interfaith services in Vero and Sebastian, and she serves as a volunteer Interfaith Chaplain at Indian River Medical Center.

96: Jim Palmer – Decide – The Ultimate Success Trigger
Decide. A short word that has the power to immobilize you to great heights or immobilize you to no action. I call that last version analysis paralysis!

(this is a trick question!)? How does imposter syndrome affect decision making? Is there ever a time not to make a decision?

What you don’t hear about is which entrepreneurs that get on the show have hired someone to help them craft their pitch and tell their story. Just like anything else, preparation leads to greater success.
My guest today is known as the Pitch Whisperer and on this episode he shares how you can go from being invisible to being investable. Why Now?” and how to prepare for the Yes and the No. John also shares how and where to find investors. And I love this, he shares with us the 4 Questions potential investors are asking themselves while you are pitching. If you know those questions you are ahead of many others pitching to them.

93: Dr. Trevor Kashey, Nic Peterson and Jonathan Montgomery – Relentless Dietetics
I have been working with my guests since June, 2016 to figure out some health issues. They are one of the first to ever see me and not my weight. They didn’t just assume that I was heavy because I ate junk all day. After having me log everything I ate for two weeks they informed me I was not eating ENOUGH! It has taken close to 7 months but I am now up to about 1100-1200 calories/day and I have dropped about 20 pounds. It is a struggle each day to remember to eat the right things in the right proportions but it gets a little easier because I have their support and guidance. The right COACHES Matter!
Talk about having to ask the right questions and being willing to let go my own perceptions about eating, food and my beliefs about weight! These guys live what they teach and on this episode we talk about structured eating, mindset vs willpower, how tracking what you eat puts you on the path to change and how to get some free advice on the next steps you need to take. We also discuss their philosophy of nutrition. I think you will be very surprised. The WHY? is so important and they explain why it is.
If you want to shift your thinking around weight, health and self-perception, take a listen to this episode. Then, let me know what you think and what questions are now on the top of your mind!

92: Dr Andrew Dobo – EMDR to Heal Your Life
Flashbacks. Panic Attacks. Constant pain. These are just a few of the symptoms those with PTSD deal with everyday. Sometimes many times a day. Even if you don’t suffer from PTSD you may all of a sudden have a fear of elevators. Be afraid to fly or be unable to eat ice cream. The triggers may come out of the blue or build over time. No matter what the symptom is you are dealing with it can be debilitating.
What if you could remove the root cause of your symptoms and move past them into a better future filled with possibility versus trauma? Filled with belief that you matter vs you don’t?
My guest on this episode is a psychologist who works with patients to help them heal from past traumas using EMDR. If you have never heard of it before I encourage you to listen closely and then find a practitioner in your area. It has been around for decades and is being used around the world to cure PTSD and more.
EMDR is simple and effective and permanent. Listen as Dr. Andrew Dobo shares how EMDR works and the six stages of healing.
Dr. Andrew Dobo was first trained in the use of EMDR more than fourteen years ago. He has treated hundreds of patients and participated in literally thousands of EMDR sessions in his very busy and successful private psychology practice. He is a licensed psychologist in Florida.
Dr. Dobo is highly credentialed in the use of EMDR. He has a lifelong interest in psychology and religion. He thought he had nothing new to add to the conversation until EMDR, which is the missing piece that can ignite powerful changes in his clients in an accelerated manner. Much to his surprise, he found this transformational process has six distinct stages.
Dr. Dobo has been in private practice for almost fifteen years; before that he was a staff psychologist at the Indian River Medical Center’s Behavioral Center. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and The International Association of EMDR (EMDRIA). He frequently speaks about the material covered in his book. He is often invited back to Florida Tech, his alma mater, to present on the use of EMDR.
