9 Ft. Female Bigfoot Encountered in Wythe County, Virginia

I recently received a telephone call from 'RE' who lives in Schenectady, NY:

RE stated that in the Autumn of 2014 he was working as a long-haul driver for an express company. This particular evening, around 10 PM, he had stopped at a Pilot Flying J truck stop to gas up and take a break. He was traveling on I-81 south in Virginia, near Wytheville.

As he was filling his rig, he noticed movement on a hill behind the truck stop. The area was lighted, so he was able to see the movement. He was curious, so after securing his rig in the lot he started to venture up the hill to get a better look. RE is a hunter and outdoorsman, so he was curious.

As he stood on top of the hill, there was a Walmart in the valley below. There was also a shale pit that was well lit from the Walmart parking lot. He moved down the hill, until he noticed a huge hairy being walking along the edge of the pit. He was no more than 50 yards or so away, but was surprised at what he saw.

The hairy hominid was approximately 9 ft. in height, very broad shouldered and gray in color. As it turned towards him, he could definitely discern that this was a female because of the large prominent breasts. She was carrying a 3 ft long thick log. As he watched her, she didn't seem to mind him being there. But it seemed like she was hunting for something...possible live food. RE whistled at her, but she didn't respond. After a few minutes, she walked into the wooded area at the far end of the shale pit and disappeared.

RE said that he never believed in Bigfoot before his encounter, but is convinced now that these beings do exist. Lon

Giant Winged Being Saves Family From Accident

Jaffe in South Korea called in to tell of his girlfriend's experience:

What happened... I had a girlfriend and basically she careened off the road. She was driving along in a van. She had a couple of her kids with her and she just lost control on one of these roads up in central interior British Columbia. She was going over a large embankment. It was a cliff, you know, a really serious situation. From out of nowhere...this is the story she told me, it was her own personal experience and she's a real straight shooter too. These giant wings appeared from out of nowhere just as she was going over this steep embankment / cliff with her kids and these giant wings just covered the van from the front and stopped her just as she was heading off to face her doom. Things would not have worked out to well for her and her family. Have you ever heard of a - it was like a Thunderbird / Angel / God only knows what - arriving out of nowhere and saving people and not just being a malevolent sort of entity or force but something that was helpful? (Guest Ken Gerhard claims that he had heard of a story from Ecuador in which a winged entity appeared and rescued two children hanging off a cliff. It has become known as The Angel of Ecuador.)

'Jersey Devil': Is It Real?

I received the following information in 2013. Could it be the 'Jersey Devil'?:

Hey, I stumbled upon your site cause I been searching for what I just seen for like 2 hours and have no luck. I live in South Jersey in a somewhat wooded area, very calm and normal small town. Anyway, today in the car on the way to the store I was looking at the sky. It was about 7 or 8 at night and I seen this strange thing in the sky. It had huge wings like a bat, it was like a dark brown color. There was no feathers at ALL. The body was black, with short or no hair. It had a very slim body and a small tail. The thing about this bat creature was it's size. It was bigger then a hawk. And in my town, we always see hawks so I'm used to seeing them. I'm also used to seeing bats. This creature flapped it's wings slowly but the bats here usually flap their wings fast? That's the strange part for me. I could've sworn it was pterodactyl! No one believes me! I just need to know what the hell I seen! Please help!

I contacted the witness for more specific information...and received the following:

Thanks for responding! And I live in Voorhees, New Jersey. 15 minutes from Cherry Hill. Not too far from The Pine Barrens, isn't that where the Jersey Devil is considered to be? And from what I heard, the Jersey Devil has like hooves and I this creature didn't have any. Maybe I'm wrong. But anyway, this thing flew pretty low and I didn't get to see its face. I know it's wings had no feathers or anything. It flew at a fast speed even it's wings were flapping slow. That's all the details I can get for seeing it before it flew away. BA

“When I lived in New Jersey I was at a friend's house, and at the time I had no clue what the Jersey Devil looked like. I seen a shadowy figure that looked like a large satyr at the end of the street late at night, while waiting for my friend to come out of his house. It was really dark, but it was a shadow-like. It was blending in with the environment like a chameleon. It was dark so I could have just been seeing things, but when I told my friend what I saw, he showed me pictures of the Jersey Devil. I didn't know ahead of time, so I couldn't have psyched myself out ahead of time. I also didn't know where the Pine Barrens were. I thought it was hours away not a few minutes away.” LS

“You people can believe what you want. When I was in middle school in 2000, my class was on a retreat in the Pine Barrens and my bunk mate and I saw a very furry humanoid right out side our windows. We closed our eyes and didn’t speak of it until we left.” H

“The legend of the Jersey Devil is true. I saw it. It happened on December 23, 2009. Me and my family were having dinner at night when we heard a scream and it sounded like nothing I've heard. I got my shotgun and looked in the trees with my shotgun and it was standing in a trail that I walk down. I took one shot, then it flew off. I’m scared to even go outside at night or go down the trail.” PB

'Hawkman' Winged Humanoid in Knox County, Missouri

“It was the summer of 2000 in Knox County, Missouri near a small village called "Colony" and just north of there, the North Fabius River where there is a concrete bridge. I would fish on this small river, a lot of times underneath the bridge where there was usually a pretty good deep hole to fish. One night, I was fishing just on the east side of the bridge on the south bank and as I was watching my poles, I heard a loud crashing sound straight across the river from me, something crashing through the trees. I look directly in that direction and see this large object flying through the air and down to the river. Mostly what I'm observing when I first catch sight of this thing are enormous wings and this thing lands right in the middle of the river where there is a sandbar that divides basically two small channels in the river. It lands just to the left of where my line is cast out, maybe 20 feet or so. It was most definitely dark but there was enough light from a burning citronella candle bucket I had burning to where I could see most of the outline of whatever it was I was seeing. I will never forget the size of the wings and how it landed just like a bird. The wings were most likely white or atleast light enough I could make them out pretty easy but it stood just as a man and had the body of a man. The wings were enormous and were possibly as tall or if not taller than the body by a foot or two. It looked mostly naked from what I could tell but I saw some kind of chest straps that went across it's chest. I could not see a face but it looked like it was wearing some kind of helmet and face shield and I say this because it looked exactly like the face shield of the DC comics superhero "Hawkman". It had a pointed face shield that looked like a bird's face and just like the Hawkman character, it had wing like pieces on it's helmet. It looked like a helmet because it appeared to be a different color or shade than its body.

After it had landed, it stood straight up and had its wings tucked in and it didn't move for a very long time but I could see water stirring up. I just kept staring at it, afraid to move. I can't say how much time passed but it seemed like a long time that I watched it. All of a sudden I saw it moving even more and it looked like it had a large vase in it's hand and was dipping it into the water and started pouring water on itself on it's right wing. To me it seemed like it must have been injured because of the way it crashed through the trees. That's what it appeared like anyway. After it did that, it stood straight and didn't move at all. It stood there for the longest time and looked more like a post because it was so still. I watched it for at least another 20-30 minutes and it did not move. I was scared and I just kept thinking in my mind that it had to be able to see me or at least see the citronella bucket burning. I started to tell myself that what I was seeing wasn't real. I had two poles with me at the time but only one was cast out and the one that was cast out, I just started reeling it in nice and slow while keeping my eye on this thing. At this time, the wind is blowing the candle directly into my face and it's all I can breathe in and once I finally get my pole reeled in. I grab the candle bucket and move it from the right of me to the left.

All of a sudden I see this thing leap and jumps into the water like a dive and water splashes up and there's wake hitting the bank. I immediately grab my poles and take off running up the bank. I kept falling down, scared out of my mind in a total panic thinking this thing was behind me. I finally got past the rocks and up above the bank and onto the road and went straight for the truck. I took out of there, still thinking this thing might be following me. I was scared. I was actually scared for a very long time. Looking back now, maybe the creature was just as scared as I was.” JP

8 Foot Tall 'Sewer Monster' in Buena Park, CA

A SEWER MONSTER 8 FOOT TALL MONSTER REPORTED IN CITY SEWER Buena Park, Calif. (UPI):

Police said they have received more than 200 telephone calls from people curious about reports of an 8-foot-tall, man-like creature living in the city’s sewer system. “Buena Foot” failed to appear at a “monster watch,” but two men using divining rods claim they saw footprints and handprints that prove a huge humanoid is nearby. Hundreds of people nationwide have called police to inquire about their safety and the safety of relatives in the area since five people reported Monday, they saw the beast walking down a storm tunnel. “We’ve had 200 to 500 calls easily,” Officer Terry Branum said. “We’re telling people we have investigated the area and found nothing there. Dennis Ruminer, a member of a group called the Special Forces Investigations, which investigates unexplained phenomena, claimed Wednesday he found footprints and handprints of the beast in a drainage tunnel. “We were looking around the mouth of the tunnel when someone shouted, “There’s a track,” Ruminer said. “There were a lot of people around and as we went to look a kid stepped on the track, so we only saw the front part of the track. “It was a humanoid foot with five big toe marks and about 7 inches across the ball of the foot. Before we got a good, clear look at it, another kid stepped on it and completely obliterated the track.” But Ruminer said he and his partner, Tom Muzila, used divining rods to track the creature and went inside the tunnel, where they found a handprint. Ruminer said the team made a plaster cast of the print and took pictures of several other sets of prints discovered farther back in the cave. Frank Missanelli, manager of an apartment building near the drainage ditch, said he heard the beast but did not see it. “It roared and growled just like the dinosaurs in the movies,” Missanellia said. About 100 believers held a “monster watch” Tuesday night, but failed to spot anything resembling the beast.

Bigfoot Along The Shenango River

The following accounts were found or received in recent months:

Had my encounter in western PA near the Shenango River in Crawford County. This was in 2008 when I was a teen. I was night fishing in the pond across the street from my family friends horse farm I was staying at for the summer. The side of the pond I was fishing from is an open field from the lond to the road and the opposite side has a thick oak forest leading up to the shore that is massive and stretches for a few miles in width and probably 10 miles long. His is the only house in the area, his nearest neighbor is almost 3 miles up the road. I had been out for around an hour and already had 4 10/15 lb catfish on my stringer so was more just enjoying the quiet and sky more than anything. I started hearing some rustling a hundred yards or so into the woods across the pond from me, at first I just thought it was the dog digging something up until I realized he was still laying beside me. Then I started to make out 4 human like figures that kept walking up near the edge of the tree line across the pond and then walking back to where I couldn't make them out anymore, this went on for around 20 minutes and was freaking me out because the family friend lives by himself and I was the only person there that night besides him so I knew it wasn't just him messing with me. Then I stopped seeing them, but could still hear the occasional noises of something moving in the woods just out of site for another 20 minutes or so, it was almost 1 am at that point and the fish weren't biting anymore but I was too freaked out to take my eyes off the woodline long enough to pack up my tackle box and rod and clean the fish.

Then I saw one of the figures come up to the edge of the woodline again and it heaved a rock, that had to have been about 40 lbs or so judging by the splash it made, that darn near made it to the middle of the pond which is roughly 60 yards wide. I was scared to death and immediately jumped up and started sprinting the quarter mile back to the house. I left all of my gear there, fishing line still cast out, stringer of fish still in the pond in front of me etc., my tackle box and gear is still my most prized possessions to this day, but that's how deathly afraid I was in the moment. Luckily the dog freaked out as much as I did and beat me back to the house, because I didn't think about him at all either.

I ran inside and started to tell the family friend what happened, he didn't even bat an eye just told me to grab the spotlight we used for coon hunting, and he grabbed his rifle. It took maybe 5 minutes from the time I booked it in fear til we were back down at the pond, the stringer of fish was gone and the whole tub of chicken livers I was using as bait was nowhere in site. I reeled in my line, packed up my tackle box and we walked around the woods spotting for around a half hour and didn't find the stringer of fish or blue bucket from the chicken livers anywhere, nor any animals or anything.

We went back to the house and he told me that he has had a family of bigfoot living on his property for a few years now but didn't want people to think he was crazy so never brought it up. I had a lot of experiences on that property that summer and since, but none that intense, just a lot of being followed through the woods while hunting or collecting mushrooms/berries and hearing them "talking" in the woods around me. Here are a few other accounts outside of Pennsylvania:

I’ve never been open to sharing my story because of the way it’s impacted my life. I consider myself an avid outdoorsmen and I love to camp, fish, and hike.

Around 2 years ago now I was hiking through the Busch in Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, Montana. The hike was supposed to be 2 miles round trip but I decided to head off trail to eat my lunch. I came down the small foothill and noticed a large amount of branches and twigs snapped from a particularly tall animal. This alarmed me but I kept moving. I sat my pack down above a small mudslide and almost took a bite of my sandwich when I saw a tall dark brown broad shouldered ape like creature. I immediately thought Bigfoot. He wasn’t scared of me whatsoever and started to walk toward me slowly. I dropped my stuff and ran like hell. I started hearing objects crack again trees and I never looked back.

To this day I believe my pack could still be above that mudslide. I’m fine now, and I enjoy some Minecraft lol. This encounter changed the way I see the woods and made me respect my surroundings a lot more. SS

Approx time: summer, late 80s

Approx location: East Texas, Montgomery County, Conroe, San Jacinto River

This was a daylight sighting, late evening, the weather was sunny, warm and clear. I was walking the river along the upper game trail through heavy cane foliage. The sand trail made almost no sound at all. In hindsight, I think this is why I startled the animal. A sudden loud sound of cane moving to my right (from the riverside) and a flash of reddish brown fur blasting across the trail and up to my left lasted only seconds. I froze.

My first thought, as crazy as it seemed to me was, what the hell was an orangutan doing out here? Then I thought no, that doesn't make sense. It moved too fast, on two legs, arms in mid swing while leaning forward like a sprinter coming off the block. The thick cane and steep sandy incline didn't slow it down at all. I remained still and listened but everything was quiet. The walk back to my truck was uneventful.

Looking back, there have been a few main things that have stayed with me over the years. The reddish hair color, moving on two legs, the speed and poise of the body. Also, this wasn't a huge animal. It was about 6'6", prolly 280 to 300lbs.

And that's about all there was to it. Not much of a scary campfire story. But those few seconds have stayed with me for well over 30 years. So far. BT

I will say this... I don’t know if the thing that comes around is a Bigfoot or something else, I believe it is. I say that because once a month or 2 weeks at most for a period of 3 days, every night something large comes near the house and that’s when I have strange experiences. It’s so random when it occurs but consistent in the length of time. Stone clacks from behind bushes, odd lights in woods and on mountains , large creatures running off into the woods from my yard when I walk outside, wood knocks, grunt sounds, bangs, house knocks, dog spazzing out, large impressions in leaves, branches breaking all around, and loud yells off in distance from the mountains. But I can never see or figure out what it is that gets so close, but never reveals itself. 95% of the rest of the time, it’s utterly quiet, especially during this winter. I live on the border on National Forest in Georgia Mtns. MA

An Angelic Intervention

“OK here we go. Had a few paranormal experiences but here is the psychic angel one. I was in a really bad time in my life and recently broke up with my girlfriend. Another girlfriend had just passed on a few years before that. I was horribly depressed even at a gathering of friends at Borders where we gathered on Thursdays. So I sat out front on the sidewalk and had like a comatose posturing deal going on, just crying and crying for like 30 minutes straight. Friends came and went to check up and stuff, but a totally weird thing happened after about 30 to 45 minutes of going over the past few years in my head, how horrible everything was.

Out of nowhere a lady touched me on the shoulder and said, like, 'Can I help you?' ... 'Or is there anything I can do for you?' And my first thought was, 'Please don't be another Christian who wants to pray for me,' but I think I responded, 'To help me not mess up my life?' Or something, I was bitter and angry. And it got WEIRD.!! We kept talking, you know, and she's like, 'So I just got a feeling passing by (the West Oaks Mall, Ocoee, Florida, so it's like a big mall entrance kinda deal)' and she said, 'I had the random urge to drive right up here, into this parking lot, and walk right up to you.' Weird, right? But then she starts talking about life and how she broke her rib and how she's learned so much about life through the injury. Then we agree that the conversation was divinely gifted and that God was talking through her, and I said, 'Haha, wow, sounds like it.'

So anywho, right after that, she says, 'Your name is Adam right?' Just like, total eyebrow, look over the shoulder moment. I'm like, '... uhh, yeah?' And I look around to see if my friends put her up to all this but they were still inside. And she continues, says, 'You are going to change this world. You are going to use your gifts and talents, to bring true joy, progress and change to this world.' We kind of marvel at this statement and she assures me again it is not her speaking but God speaking through her. She mentioned a few other things I can't quite recall (you know how these things work) but they were very personal things that she would have never known otherwise. I begged her for a human name and she finally gave one. She said her name was, 'Natalie.' My heart and soul were broken open like a walnut by this experience, and I never saw her again. She did offer to buy me dinner, but I felt like I was in the presence of an angel or God and couldn't lie, so I insisted on revealing I ate a large whopper from Burger King before we met. It was indeed a paranormal experience!

I guess it's God I have to thank for sending me this particular angel during a moment of absolute despair. Also my current girlfriend has seen little blue men walk into a dimensional doorway in her room in San Francisco, 2012, and also I went to Mount Shasta and thought a bunch of cars were pulling into our camp from all the headlights shining through, but they weren’t headlights. I finally saw orbs of light floating (blue meanies?). They floated past me slowly at 30 feet up. That was so terrifying I went into shock. But yeah thanks for letting me share. Hope you enjoy. Pretty weird and wild life I've had. Much more to share as well but those are some highlights.” AM

Wendigo Attack in the Utah Mountains

I was referred to this interesting account on Reddit after my most recent Wendigo post. The person who forwarded it to me insisted that the woman in the story is very credible and is a friend. I'll leave it to your discretion:

I love to go hiking. I go with my 3 year old German Shepherd Kairi, and let her go unleashed since we like to go to secluded places. Now I have been hiking all over the Utah mountains, and wanted a new hike that wasn’t too far from me. I have an app that tells me about hikes near me, if it is a hard hike, reviews and if it’s dog friendly. Now I was scrolling through AllTrail looking for possibly something new but I wasn’t too hopeful. But to my delight, there was something new. I don’t know why I don’t remember the name of it, but I do remember it was at the bottom of the list and it had one review saying ‘good’ I thought that was kind of strange, mostly because people love to review hikes and try to tell the city what they can do to improve the hike and make it more safe, but I figured it wasn’t a popular hike. So the next day Kairi and I packed up our stuff and went up towards the hike. I always carry first aid kit, extra food, a knife and just emergency stuff in case I get lost. It’s important to mention now that Kairi eats a raw diet. Meaning she eats raw meat not cooked, and since we were going so early in the morning I thought I could bring some with us. I put it in her blue backpack I make her wear and decided when it was getting warmer we would stop to eat. Where I live, there’s a long drive through the canyon and many roads going towards the hike you’d like to go on. This one was a little further than I’m use to but I didn’t care it was new and I was excited so was Kairi. She cries in the car until we get there.

Now I was following the directions on my phone and saw that it had lead me towards a thin road that was hidden. ‘No wonder I haven’t heard of this place’ it was hidden and far up the mountain. The road only fit one car so the whole time I was so anxious that another car would come down, and how I would handle that but there never was. I never saw another car. When I got to the “parking lot” (if I could call it that), I noticed there was only space for like three cars. All in a tight space. It was small, so I decided to park my car with the front facing towards the road. I thought maybe it was private property, checked the app but it didn’t say anything about private property. I shrugged it off, got Kairi out, prepared us and saw the trail.

Now even though I knew there wasn’t anyone parked there, I kept Kairi on a leash. I didn’t know if there were bikers along the trail, but after thirty minutes or so I didn’t see anyone I decided to let her off leash. It was a steep hike for the first half, but it was beautiful. We were deep in the woods, and I felt at peace. I use to wear headphones when I hiked but didn’t anymore so I was enjoying the natural sounds of the forest. It was still early in the morning so I wore a light jacket and decided when it got warmer I’d give Kairi her breakfast. Now before you start to hate, I know. I know bringing Kairis raw meat was absolutely stupid and ignorant of me. I had never seen a bear or wolf or anything so I got cocky and just thought it was okay. I learned my lesson the bad day, so no need to tell me I was dumb.

Now here is where we begin the bad part of this story. The trail finally stopped being steep and sort of an easy hike from here. When you got to the top, you could see through the trees a beautiful open meadow. On the other side of it, you can hear a river and a waterfall. The trail went around the meadow. The meadow was absolutely beautiful with the mountains in the background, the sound of the water. This hike was almost the most beautiful one I had ever been to.

When Kairi and I were sort of in the center of the meadow, she stopped right in front of me and looked towards the meadow. Kairi always walked ahead of me and when she stopped I stopped since I trusted her judgement. Before I could look, the smell hit me first. You know the typical rotting smell but 'oh my God!' Words cannot explain how bad it was. It burned my nose, and started to make me tear up. I put my shirt over my nose, feeling nauseous and looked over to where Kairi was looking. In the middle of the meadow was a deer. Now I’ve only seen does but never a male deer in person. But his antlers were huge.

The beauty of the deer was amazing but not enough to take away the disgusting smell that was making me sick. The deer was looking towards the mountains and away from me. I thought maybe Kairis food was going bad, I checked that and it seemed fine. When I looked up again, the deer was looking towards our direction. I noticed that Kairis hackles went up at that, she started to cry nervously.

Now I’ve heard of wendigos and skinwalkers, I am Native American it is common for these creatures to be in our childhood stories. That and also listening to scary stories on YouTube. Now when Kairi did that, I got a bad feeling in my stomach despite the sickness.

It was a Wendigo and I knew that, now I didn’t know what to do. These creatures were only apart of my stories to make me go to bed, not to instructions of what to do. Plus my grandmother was the one with the stories and passed away. She was the one with the experience not my mom or anyone else.

I glanced at Kairi again when she cried, and looked back towards the creature. It started to stand on its hind legs. Holy hell it was f**king tall, and it faced my direction. It started to walk towards me, I was going to run until I heard in my head.

“I am the one of this land”

Suddenly it started to run towards me, full speed. I screamed, called Kairi and started to run. Kairi was following behind me. I started to cry as I was running since I could hear it catch up to me. It was loud. It was destroying everything it came in contact with to get to me. The adrenaline running through me was making me just focus on running. I didn’t know where to go I just ran. The trail suddenly got smaller and bushes with thorns started to appear but I didn’t feel them as they cut my arms. As I heard it got closer, it suddenly went to the left as I ran straight. I somehow had the balls to look back to see it was gone, but also Kairi.

“Kairi?” I said but right as I called out for her, the trail ended with a foot drop onto a patch of rocks. I hit my head, bleeding a bit. But again I couldn’t feel it that much and just got up. I looked towards the forest when I suddenly heard a loud cry from my right. It was Kairi. “Kairi!” I cried out. I stood up, crying and lost at what to do. I looked back to see a river leading up to the waterfall I heard. Suddenly a heavy weight ran into me and we both fell back. I hit my head again on the back and looked up to see Kairi. Kairi had blood all over her. It was pouring from her neck.

“Kairi!?” I cried out. She was whimpering, and breathing heavy. She still had her backpack on with some cuts in it. Before I had a chance to help her, a scream came from the forest. I looked back at the waterfall, and somehow had the strength to pick up my 85 pound dog and carry her. I don’t know where I was planning to go I was just running to the waterfall as if it was a safe place. I was almost there when I heard the creature land on the rocks that I did early. I tripped at that and looked back to see it looking at me. It’s eyes were black or I think so, it could also be that there wasn’t anything in there. I don’t know.

I took off Kairis backpack and throw it towards the monster, hoping it would take the meat and just leave us alone. I was scooting back towards the waterfall, crying as I did so. Holding and dragging Kairi with my left arm. I found that being so close to the creature made me literally weak to my knees. It walked over to me, taking huge steps. It looked so different than before, before it looked like a deer and now as it crawled over to me it looked like... a monster. I don’t know how else to describe this awful demon, I don’t. I’m sorry.

But I felt water hit my head hard as I had reached the waterfall. I kept going until I was up against the wall. There barely enough space where water wasn’t hitting Kairi and is faces. Kairi felt limp at this point. I could somewhat see the creature through the water, but still saw it coming towards me. It stood on its hind legs when it was close enough to me, watching me. The smell was so disgusting, I couldn’t help but throw up in my mouth. It reached his arms out to grab me, I screamed so loud. I actually lost my voice.

After I let out that scream, another scream came from the deep forest. The creature snapped its head almost completely backward, looking towards the scream. The scream sounded like the one this one had let out earlier. I was still holding onto Kairi, crying and screaming since it’s arm was close. It looked back to me, pulling its arm away and again said in my mind?

“I am the one of this land”

With that, it took steps back watching me and went down the river bank. It crawled on all fours, stopping next to Kairis backpack. It ripped it apart and pulled out the meat eating it with the plastic bag that it was in. It suddenly screamed and ran towards that direction of the scream from earlier. When I thought it was gone, I stood up shakily and carried Kairi towards the trail again. When I was running, I came across my backpack that I had left earlier and stopped. It was ripped apart so I took off my jacket and wrapped it around Kairis neck where she was bleeding a lot. After that, I barely remember. All I remember is carrying Kairi and driving down, screaming the whole way towards the emergency vet.

They asked us what happened and I told them it was a bear. They called the ambulance since I had blood all over me and they couldn’t tell if it was mine or Kairis. Kairi made it through surgery and had to have some stitches on her, along with a pad. It didn’t really heal and a huge bump grew on there. It had been infected but eventually got better. She also had a bite mark on the top of her left eye, but that healed much better. They pulled out a four inch tooth, I don’t have it because I couldn’t even look at it but they declared it from a bear. Even though they said it looked weird.

While I was waiting for Kairi I went to look up the trail on the app, and it was gone. I don't know why or how but it is. I don’t remember where it is either. That’s all a blur.

I haven’t been hiking since, and I refuse to let Kairi go. That time my mom took her she did it while I was at work but regretted it because she said Kairi was crying and was so scared they had to just go home. My mom knows, I screamed at night from nightmares for a week or two. My mom put white candles in my room to get rid of the bad spirits attracted to my negativity.

So yeah that's my story. I’ve heard stories where people saw a wendigo and they didn’t get harmed, and God I wish I went through that. I hate hiking. My therapist thinks I may have some PTSD but only knows of it as a bear. I’m getting through it, Kairi is too. Hopefully one day I can go back but I don’t see that being for a while.

Please if you’re going to go up to the mountains, please please prepare. Mother Nature is not only unpredictable but has things in there that just don’t make sense in our heads. So please be safe. I say that with serious sincerity. Thanks for reading. LP

Black Triangle Observed Near Air Force Base

“14 years ago myself and my two kids saw something very similar (a black triangle). We were driving to Seattle in the middle of the night to beat Thanksgiving day traffic from our home in Kalama, Washington. We took the 512 McCord Air force exit and a few miles later I saw a gigantic black triangle a mile or so ahead of us hovering low in the sky. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. I'm a skeptic so I was trying to figure out what kind of military craft it was. My 16 year old daughter spoke. I thought she was sleeping so I looked at her. She asked me, 'WTF is that, Mom?' 'I don't know,' I said. We all three turned to stare. My son woke because we were talking. Anyway, when we looked again the thing multiplied, there were 3 now. The other 2 were smaller but the same shape. All had lights on the outer perimeter. We stared for a good 5 minutes because I slowed down to get a good look. After going straight under it we saw military jets banking hard and heading straight for it. Suddenly they all disappeared. I don't know if they just hit the lights out or if they left. All 3 of us are skeptics so to this day we aren't calling what we saw alien aircraft but definitely a UFO.” RP

Red-Eyed Winged Humanoid Twice Observed in Hammond, Indiana

On Monday August 12, 2019 I received an email and then a telephone call from Mark Hagan of the South Shore Ghostbusters. He wanted to report a sighting of a large winged humanoid in the Hammond, Indiana area, which occurred August 2018. The coordinates of the sighting was 41.656717, -87.508381:

Hagan's statement:

It was August of 2018. My wife and I were driving south on Calumet Ave. and were coming up to the red light at 131st St when we heard what sounded like leather rustling. We looked to the retention pond to our left and saw glowing red what I am going to assume were eyes and saw a large bat-like creature take to the skies. It was darked colored and easily had to be about 6 feet or more tall from what I could make out. Wingspan was close to 10 feet or more.

About a week or so later driving with my colleague in the South Shore Ghostbusters. This time we saw it atop the the Cline Ave overpass like it was eating something. We turned around only to see it take off to the skies once more.

We have been investigating the area and found this particular creature sticks close to the water. We have heard multiple accounts of seeing red glowing lights over the waters of the Lost Marsh since June or so of this year.

Hagan told me that he is very familiar with the large fowl in the area, and that this being was definitely not one of the indigenous birds known to inhabit the areas around Lake Michigan.

The Phantoms & Monsters Fortean team plans to go to the area for further investigation. Lon



These sightings were similar to location and description from a report in July 1, 2017:

I listened to the show on Coast to Coast AM and heard about the Chicago Phantom. I believe I may have seen it near the Lost Marsh Golf Course, right off Calumet Ave. (I-41) in Whiting, Indiana. (The location is approximately 1/2 mile east of the Illinois / Indiana border).

So this possible sighting happened on Saturday, July 1, 2017 around 10:30PM CT. We were heading home from my sister's house. My wife was driving I was the passenger. The kids were sleeping in the back seat and I was just enjoying the ride home. I was looking out my window and noticed two red lights in a area where there are usually no lights. I even told my wife "hey, I just saw two red lights." I thought it was a little strange but nothing more. I had no strange feelings, but when I started to think of the two lights, they must have been over the water around 10 ft. The red lights were about a 45 degree angle and kind of close to each other.

We take that route all the time and there is no light pole or anything in that area...just water. I thought it could have been a golf cart, but why would they only be using red lights. That little piece of course has no lighting and the street also doesn't have any lighting. The BP Whiting Refinery (approximately 1 mile away) is way too far away for what I saw. Basically, two strange red lights over the watery part of a golf course. KG

NOTE: This may be an excellent general area for a concentrated investigation...including the other nearby locations where the entity was seen. The 'red lights' were within 100-200 ft from the point of observation by the witness...and were close together. Did the witness see the red eyes of one of these humanoids?
