Amazon Bought WordPress?

Jenny V 4

An unconfirmed and unverified source informed us at the newsroom of Inner London Television Station (ILTV) that Amazon has bought WordPress at a whooping One hundred Billion dollars?

Is April Fool still on????

**************

To all the folks at WordPress, just imagine if Amazon did buy WordPress, then we’ll be paid for every content we upload and publish… To really think about this, I don’t think it’s going to work, Amazon just acquired Goodreads and its mixed reactions all the way!

The above caption is mere fabrication…… ehmmm, there’s no truth in it!

Since that’s out-of-the-way, a very dear friend of mine interviewed yours truly, I’ll be grateful if you check it out, he’s an awesome guy. http://eyebeforee.com/2013/04/01/eyebeforeseyi

I wish everyone a beautiful and happy New Month!

Love you all!

The Stranger’s Gift.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

His eyes glowed like embers in pitch darkness.

He groaned inwardly and scratched his head,

waiting for word about the stranger.

The stranger appeared unannounced, Lucifer ducked swiftly, shocked.

His golden eyes moved in anger, he swayed unsteadily and mouthed the words,

‘Impossible!’

The stranger’s eyes was full of power, he opened his palms.

Spirits of the underworld screeched in fear, all but one left

Lucifer’s side, Tyrus, his son.

The stranger took the keys from Lucifer’s trembling hands and volcanic ash spurted out.

Voices muddled up, demons fart in disgust, Lucifer was helpless.

The deep grumbled in protest, the core of the heart rumbled.

The stranger floated out of hell, the keys in his palms.

Oh death, where is thy sting!

Oh grave where is thy victory.

‘You are but a stranger to your own,’

Lucifer spat out and the stranger, whom is the Lord smiled,

‘My sheep hear my voice, my own are mine!’

The Lord floated out of the deep, and the core of the earth closed up.

He walked among the children of men.

Risen.

He has the gift of life.

He is alive forever more!

His name is Jesus, My Lord and Saviour!!

Wishing all my friends a lovely fun filled Easter, I am a daughter of the King, I have been redeemed and proudly so! Like the man in the picture, my joy is indescribable. God bless you all…

Thanks for reading.

Much love always. :)

The Innocent Blood

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Centuries of Lies and Deceit

Centuries of wars and wastage

Centuries of anger and revolt and restlessness

Centuries of pain and discord

Centuries of selfishness and greed

Centuries of me and me and me

Centuries of pride of life and vanity

Centuries of fear and shame

Centuries of death and death and death and death!

This centuries resulted in the innocent blood wasted

Blood of the young, the old and the unborn.

I groaned in disbelief and utter sadness.

When will the son of men stop their charades and live for once!

********

I have vowed not to watch TV again but that’s just impossible. I work a lot on my computer and sometimes I’ll be tired of the writing and editing and would just browse through the internet and still see what I don’t want to see. I wish I have  the supernatural power that can stop all wars and force humans to love each other eternally but it’s a mere dream isn’t it?

Thanks for reading!

And I watched…

Face of courage

And I watched through the centuries as men

protected their young, their women, their homes.

And I watched as men built kingdoms, roads and empires.

And I watched as men walked the moon, save the sick, put food on the table.

And I watched in awe as great men worked tirelessly,

To save the world.

Men of timber and calibre, men who love with simplicity.

Men who shoulder responsibilities without squirming.

Men with the courage of lions who turned away from no foes.

And I watched my dad, husband, sons, brothers, relatives, friends

Try to live their footprints in the sands of time.

I love men.

I married one, a daughter to one, a mother to two.

Men are great, and the few and rotten who rape women,

who kill and plunder are not MEN.

They are NOTHING!

I want to pay tribute to great men, to my father, Peter Nelson, you are adored in my eyes, to the man who married me, Kay, I love you with all my heart, you complete me, to great men I have met on my blogging journey, they are many and I hold you all in the highest esteem! To my girlfriends and sisters, (don’t be jealous, I love you, you know that!)

 God bless you all!!

Love always! :) :)

You Came Naked…

benedeki

The plane descended very fast, the hairs at the nape of Daniel’s head stood on end, ‘is this the end?’ he thought desperately, But there was nothing he or the captain of the plane could do as the pilot and co pilot battled with the controls. The voice of the air hostess was high-pitched as she tried to calm the fearful passengers.

In the midst of the chaos. One man sat unperturbed, trying to drink from the can of coke in his hands though the contents spilled all over him. Daniel noticed the strange man, and as the man munched away, eating as if he was in a picnic, Daniel screamed,

‘Hey mister, aren’t you afraid?’

‘Afraid of what?’ the man asked, a smile on his face.

‘We are all going to die!’ Daniel would have loved to punch the smirk off the man’s face but he was risking his life for even talking.

‘Yes, I know,’ the man said with a cheeky grin, ‘You came naked and death smiles at us all, the only thing you can do is to smile back, besides, the pilot is my friend, he’s going to land this plane safely if it’s the last thing he does.’

And then there was a loud bang…

Twenty hours later, Daniel woke up in a hospital, he looked round and heave a deep sigh of relief, he was alive, that was the only thing that mattered to him. The door of the room opened and the same man he spoke to on the plane entered, his grin was still in place.

‘I told you my friend would land the plane, and nobody died!’

The man left and Daniel closed his eyes as the man’s words rang shrilly in his mind, ‘You came naked…’

Life is not so short as I used to say, we live in a timeless universe, everything around us pulsates with power. Look at Shakespeare, he’s still alive today, through his works. When we are no more, believe me, we’ll still be living, in the minds of others. Therefore, Let us live well!

The short story above is just a figment of my imagination and not an excerpt from ‘Tales Of Five Lies.’

I was playing around with Photoshop yesterday and  changed the cover of ‘Tales Of Five Lies,’ What do you think?

Much love. :)

A True Heart…

Gavin Terpisra, Sydney!

Our hearts is like magnet, a wise man once said that what we want we attract, and what we hate we dispel and I think he’s right. Have you ever wondered why events that happened to you years ago suddenly springs to the fore accompanied by lofty feelings of elation or suppressed emotions of despair?

It’s because everything we are, our dynamic make up, the very essence of our being is wrapped within that magic word, ‘Heart.’ No wonder, this words of scripture sums it up perfectly, ‘guide your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life.’

Great inventions, lofty ideas, beautiful visions, breakthroughs in science, medicine, all kinds of technological advancement or feats and every endearing development we see today was initially conceived from the heart as a thought process before it became a reality.

Murderers, Paedophiles, Liars, Suicide bombers and even that cancerous evil called divorce all stem from the heart. Great hearts shape the world, evil hearts kill our beautiful earth slowly…

Everything I am today and will ever be comes from my heart!

What about you?

******

I am promoting the second edition of ‘The Feet Of Darkness,’ so I’ll always tuck the links somewhere in my posts. Thank you for reading and love always!

A Coup In The White House? ( I See You…)

English: President Barack Obama sits behind th...

Yes, Mr President,’ Obama Diary replied and sniffed, his right hand rested on the ‘Resolute desk.’ I walked into the Oval office with a limp, the west wing of the white house (had no idea what that is) was in the hands of the coup plotters. I am the director of the CIA and the information had filtered to me about the coup prior to its execution, the problem is, I couldn’t do anything to stop it, the coup plotters aren’t human, they are out of this world (aliens… machines!)

‘Mr President,’ I began and cleared my throat, ‘I know some great people, kind, loyal to our great nation..’

‘Cut to the chase woman and tell us who these men are.’

My eyebrow shot up in suppressed rage, ‘who said anything about men Mr. President?’

The President gave me a stony glare and I continued,

ReadingPleasure, she’s a blogger but one of the fiercest fighter I’d ever seen, Boomie nee Olubunmi, she’s a martial artist with a black belt for her trouble, she’ll probably write a poem to dissuade the plotters. There’s also Jueseppi B http://theobamacrat.wordpress.com/, a friend of your PA,’ and I motioned towards Obama Diary, whose dark penetrative eyes had regained some colour. To cut to the chase like you suggested, the leader of this great men and women is silentlyheardonce. She’s never been defeated before, a simple look from her and the plotters are dead metals.’

‘Bring them in,’ the President said quietly, his brown eyes had gone a shade darker. I moved towards the door and remembered another thing.

‘By the way Mr. President, the print edition of ‘The Feet Of Darkness,’ is out, there would be a party… after the plotters had been arrested of course.’

The President gave me a forced grin, he looked tired. I walked to the room where my WordPress pals are waiting. We are going to save the world! ( I meant to say, the white house of course!)

N.P: This is just a figment of my imagination and an update on my recent post ‘I See You…’ http://seyisandradavid.org/2013/03/12/i-see-you/  It’s all fiction but the part about ‘The Feet Of Darkness’ is true. The paperback is finally out, it’s available on several online retailers and bookshops would soon be stocking it across the country. I’m working on the promos and stuff. There would be an update every now and then. Book signings are also planned in London, might have virtual book tours too, if you want me to tour your blog, do let me know by contacting me on seyisandradavid@gmail.com  (my google email is safe… and yahoo too)

Thank you friends for all your support and love, I’m grateful!

I’ve Been Hacked!

Anonymous

Anonymous (Photo credit: Schuilr)

It’s really annoying but one horrible person in Egypt just hacked into my primary email account and was sending malicious emails! :( :(

This is the first time I’ve experienced this and it’s unsettling!

I’ve managed to change my password, a fellow blogger sent an email to warn me though I couldn’t reply because yahoo apparently blocked me from sending emails until it was rectified.

Hacking into one’s personal email account is akin to armed robbers breaking into one’s home. A big thank you to Candace, http://changeitupediting.com/ I appreciate you!

I’ll be back tomorrow for a follow-up post on ‘I See You…’

Have a pleasant night rest (if you’re in England) and if you’re in other parts of the world, peace and blessings to you all!

I See You…

love this...

‘I am as constant as the northern star,’ my husband drawl with a twinkle in his eyes, his dark face breaking into an infectious grin. He held me close and planted a quick kiss on my lips, he’d warned me else I would have used his picture. He is a shy man and very kind. I don’t need anyone to tell me how lucky I am to be with him and see him but I don’t want to talk about my husband rather, I want to talk about you, yes, my readers my friends.

You see guys, I’ve got an imagination as wide as the sea and while I was planning on what to do in the office today (after writing a great article for my editor), a wonderful thought just whipped through my wind, what if I could see all of you at once, in one space,  time space. I know it’s impossible, we’re all flung in different parts of the globe but what exactly is our connecting reason, what is our fuse, what binds us together?

I am not going to answer that question because it’s obvious anyway, I’m just going to describe what I imagined everyone is doing now. It’s 3 o’clock in the afternoon and Alastair is punching away on his laptop, his daughter strolled in and gave him his camera.

‘Thanks babe,’ he said, thinking of his next photo shoot.

Christy, (she’s a poet) rushed through the door, it was almost past three, her babies would be waiting anxiously in the class and she hated to be the last mother at her daughter’s class. Rosy, stopped to wipe beads of sweat off her forehead, her thought on her next trip, she couldn’t wait for the visit to Venice with Gary, her millionaire boyfriend. Clanmother strolled towards her favourite bookshop, she’d seen a copy of ‘The Feet Of Darkness,’ (written by yours truly) and has determined to get it. Danny Breslin is on his next adventure to Kathmandu. Seanbidd scratched his head, trying to conjure his next piece of magic prose. Uzoma laughed heartily when he landed a new book contract with Random House.

And, I am in the office, typing this, I’ll have to dash out at quarter to three, pick my son from nursery, dash to his brother’s school, branched at his sister’s and head home. The rest of the day would be a blur of chores and work at the home office.

In all, it has been a great day so far and I wish you peace, whatever your circumstances. I am going to write more on my other friends, it’s quiet a long list, running into thousands!

Love you all!

:) :)

Legacy Of Honour

shutterstock_82919143 (2)

The hot African sun shone in all its ferocious splendour, casting a glow on the darkened skin of the woman hoeing and pulling weeds in the corn farm, she stood briefly to stretch her back as her bones screech in protest.

In faraway India, the tired feminine figure trudged on, pulling the heavy load of rice and in New York, Annabel typed furiously in her cubicle, her manager casting surreptitious glances in her direction. However, her mind was on Michael, her two month old son, whom she dropped in her mother’s house on her way to work. She returned early from maternity leave after her husband’s redundancy, her salary was all they lived on.

In Nigeria, Victoria raced home, her brown face squeezed together like a wrinkled orange. Friends brought her seventeen year old daughter from university, plagued with a mysterious illness. Victoria’s eyes redden with tears, her heart beating like a banjo drum, though she has nine children, the thought of losing one was simply unbearable.

Two weeks later, her daughter was strong enough and she went back to campus but the next morning, Victoria stood in front of her daughter’s hostel, hoping to catch a glimpse of her. When the daughter saw Victoria, she flew into her arms.

”Mummy, why are you here?’

”I wanted to be sure you’re alright!’ Victoria said and joy surged in her heart when she saw her daughter’s healthy countenance.

The daughter smiled and bade her mother farewell. Victoria left the campus and went back to work.

Victoria is my mother and here I am today, well and strong, my mother always feared for my life, I can’t blame her. I was very sickly while growing up. To all great mothers, women, girls everywhere, I salute you in honour. Let us all leave a legacy worth mentioning to generations yet unborn.

Thanks for reading, and to our men folks, you complete us!

Much love, always!
