And now that we’ve drooled over the cover, here’s a nice tasty teaser.

I just want to add that Thomas oozes confidence in Love Me

He took the paper from her, purposely brushing his fingers against hers in the process. She met his eyes at the touch and licked her lips. He held her gaze and didn’t even look at the list she made. “Which one would you go to?”

“Me?” She picked up her soda and took a long sip, looking away from him. “Well, I guess I’d do the show at the Mirage. It’s supposed to be excellent.”

“Great.” He shoved her note into his pocket. “I’ll pick you up at seven at the casino. While I’m there, you can give me a tour of the building.”

Her eyes widened. “I can’t go out with you.”

“Why not?” He rubbed his jaw and cast a look at her left hand. “I don’t see a ring on your finger. Are you seeing someone?”

She opened her mouth and closed it. “N-No. But I can’t just–”

“Great. It’s settled, then. I’ll see you at seven.”

She frowned. “I must decline.”

He met her eyes. “I must insist. I really would like to report back to my boss with some inside information on how the casino works. You could show me tonight when I come to pick you up.”

“Okay,” she said, her forehead wrinkled. “I can take you on a tour. But no show afterward. It’s not necessary for our business relationship for us to go on a date.”

He leaned forward and caught her hand, brushing his fingers across her knuckles. When she shivered, a wave of satisfaction mingled with a jolt of need. She wasn’t as unaffected by him as she pretended.

“I didn’t say it had anything to do with business, Brianna.” He pulled her hand closer, leaning over it to kiss her fingers. “I simply wish to get to know you better.”

I’m Very Excited About This Novel

Sarah RossJillian had a plan: celebrate the end of her first year of college with an amazing summer full of beaches, barbeques, and bonfires. When her mom insists she needs a summer job, and her boyfriend spends more time with his band than with her, Jillian’s plans go down the drain.

Grant had a plan: finish his Masters, get a great job at Google, and get the hell out of Georgia. He might be giving up some of the fun of his youth, but he knows his all work and no play method would be worth it when his dreams came true.

But things never go according to plan.

When temptation brings them together and tragedy tears them apart, Jillian and Grant will be forced to choose: fight for their dreams, or fight for each other.

Praise For Inhale, Exhale:

I have read a lot of adult books and loved them but WOW this book is awesome Jillian and Grant are amazing characters and this book didn’t disappoint me at all. – Crystal

First off I loved reading the story from multiple points of view. I felt like I got a glimpse into what exactly was going on in their heads. I also loved how intelligent they both seemed to be. They were both educated and had a bright future a head of them. JIllian was so smart, sweet, and witty. Definitely was easy to fall in love with. I could see exactly what Grant saw in her. Grant was so loving and patient. He was set on showing Jillian that he was the man she deserved. When she needed him he was there for her in a heartbeat. Grant’s life hasn’t been perfect. He lost someone close to him and he is very driven because of that. There are also a ton of passionate moments and the things said between these two will melt your heart. – Mary

Day 5: Lost in You Tour

lostinyoubanner

Hello Day 5! Only 5 more to go, but more importantly, only 2 days until Lost in You!

A Tasty Read Book ReviewThis was definitely a different kind of romance!  There are so many things that I want to say about the story, but I feel as if I will be giving too much away.  Let’s just say this is a First Love/Reunion story all wrapped into one, and I really enjoyed the roller coaster ride!

A Book Lovers ReviewBeautiful~Emotional~Taboo

I love these types of books! You know the ones that make you look at an unconventional relationship and really makes you think about the big picture. How can falling in loving with someone ever really be wrong especially when it involves two people of sound mind? Is loving someone so wrong just because there is an age difference? Or because is just doesn’t fit into the ordinary box society has placed on us? Please don’t get me wrong there are situations to be very wary of but this story, this situation is one of the exceptions.

HB HeinzerBy the time I got done with the first few pages, I loved and hated Heidi for her writing style. Why? Because my chest physically ached for Ryan. I could feel the pain and despair he felt at home.

The tour takes a break over the weekend, but hopefully come Monday you’ll have Lost in You in your hands. Hopefully you can attend the release party on Facebook.

Day 4: Lost in You

lostinyoubanner

Welcome to Day 4!

We are officially 3 days away from the release of Lost in You and the nerves are really starting to set in.

We All Make Mistakes: I loved this book, it was a refreshing change for Young Adult.  The book switches between Hadley and Ryan’s POV, so you really get to know each character.  There are times you want to shake the characters into sense, but I just shook my ereader, but the characters are easy to relate to and like.  This book will run your emotions through the rinse cycle, and will leave you tears in your eyes.  Overall the book was endearing, though frustrating at times, but I would read it again.

The Daily Harrell a teaser for you!

Day 3: Lost in You Tour

lostinyoubanner

Welcome to Day 3… a day late!

I wan to thank Heather at Word for jumping in and saving the day.

Word: Truth be told, I am not usually a big new adult genre fan. The bubblegum of stories doesn’t keep my attention for long. But, with Heidi, she tells the story according to her own set of rules, she is original, and has a style of writing that is so perfectly descriptive, but doesn’t drabble on with useless information. Every word moves the plot forward.

Alpha’s Authors & Books Oh My has an excerpt be sure to check it out.

THE NEXT BIG THING BLOG HOP

What is a blog hop? Basically, it’s a way for readers to discover authors new to them.  I hope you’ll find new-to-you authors whose works you enjoy.  On this stop on the blog hop, you’ll find a bit of information on me and one of my books and links to three other authors you can explore!

My gratitude to fellow author Cambria Hebert for inviting me to participate in this event. You can click the following link to learn more about her work: http://www.cambriahebert.com

In this blog hop, I and my fellow authors, in their respective blogs, have answered some questions about our book or work-in-progress (giving you a sneak peek).  We’ve also included some behind-the-scenes information about how and why we write what we write: the characters, inspirations, plotting and other choices we make. I hope you enjoy it!

Please feel free to comment and share your thoughts and questions. Here is my Next Big Thing!

1: What is the working title of your book?

Next week, LOST IN YOU, will release. I’m very excited, yet nervous, about this novel. It’s different from FOREVER MY GIRL, but I’m hoping the fans will enjoy it as well.

2: Where did the idea come from for the book?

I’m not sure really. I just started brainstorming one day with my best friend, Yvette, and the next thing you know we have a story mapped out.

3. What genre does your book come under??

LOST IN YOU – New Adult/Contemp/Coming of Age

4: Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

Ryan – Colton Haynes. Hadley – Carrie Underwood.

5: What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

LOST IN YOU is a story about following your dreams, taking risks and getting lost in love.

6: Is your book self-published, published by an independent publisher, or represented by an agency?

Self-published

7: How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

This one took a bit longer because of my schedule. I’d say four months.

8: What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

I’m not sure I can. I try to make my stories unique so I can provide the reader something different.

9: Who or what inspired you to write this book?

Life.

10: What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

There’s a nice little controversial situation in this book. I think people will want to know just how far the limits are pushed.

Who’s next on the NEXT BIG THING BLOG HOP?

So glad you asked! Below you will find authors who will be joining me by blog, next Wednesday. Do be sure to bookmark and add them to your calendars for updates on Works in Progress and New Releases! Happy writing and reading!

Day 2: Lost in You Tour

lostinyoubanner

Welcome to Day 2!

There’s something to be said about overseas bloggers – reviews are up when you wake up and this morning I woke up to an amazing review on a wicked cool site that I hadn’t had the chance to visit until today.

Ramblings Of A Diva Booknerd: I enjoy Heidi McLaughlin’s simple story lines. Her characters aren’t complex, so it takes nothing away from the book itself. She has almost created her own genre of fantasy romance, minus the supernatural element. Situations that are unrealistic, so the reader can invest in her novels and enjoy being taken on a journey.

Like a Harlequin novelist of the young adult generation, always well written and heartwarming endings.

Good Choice Reading has a Tuesday Teaser for you. Be sure to check it out and let me know what you think!

Day 1: Lost in You Tour

lostinyoubanner

Today is Day 1 of the Lost in You Tour!

We have two review stops today:

Reads and Thoughts I used that opening thought because once again I’m faced with a story where ‘famous-person-fall-in-love-with-normal-person’. I know, I know. It’s another cliché love story that follows that path but surprisingly I find Lost In You as fascinating as engrossing as it is as refreshing to read. It’s the reverse of that typical flow of the story, because for once the girl on the story is the one who holds the spotlight while the guy is the one behind it. This is an entirely new set -up for me since I’m really used to guys being the stars.

Bridger Bitches Book BlogI absolutely loved Lost in You by Heidi McLaughlin!! It was a great quick read but more importantly it was different!!

And way from the tour today, we have a review from Novel Seduction

If you are looking for a sweet romance that is fresh, new, and totally dreamy – this is it. Your attention will be captivated immediately and stay that way. It deals with some very touchy subjects, but in an appropriate and respectful way.  So while you may be giving the age factor the side eye initially, know that the issue is dealt with. If I were one who gave star ratings, this would be 5 stars!
