It was quite the party today at Warwicks when Seth Fishman showed up. Seth told us all about his super secret writing process, his upcoming books, and a few embarrassing stories about his high school love life.

We also had a chance to catch a few quick book recommendations off him! Seth is loving Red Rising by Pierce Brown, and also recommended that we check out The Drowned Cities by Paolo Bacigalupi.

Make sure that you stop in and pick up one of the many signed copies we have of Seth’s book (shown here with our lovely book seller Zoe)! Not only is The Well’s End our staff’s new favorite YA debut, but Seth was also kind enough to hide some original doodles in some of them. A good book and a priceless work of art in one! What a deal!

So happy to read at Warwick’s today.  Fantastic group there!

It took some doing - almost a week in the making - but we finally installed the new chalkboard in Kids for New & Upcoming Releases. Keep here a keen eye a-fixed, Seattleites and fans of YA everywhere.

Pictured here: Under the Egg by Laura Marx Fitzgerald, The Riverman by Aaron Starmer, and Say It Ain’t So by Josh Berk.

Happy to see The Well’s End on display!  I’ll be in Seattle for Emerald City so maybe I can come in and sign that copy!

3D Printed Oreo Vending Machine Lets You “Eat a Tweet”

One of the more interesting promotional exhibits at this year’s SXSW was from Oreo and Twitter called the “Trending/Vending Lounge”. The lounge was made up of 3D printers that used trending topics on Twitter to create filling flavours for Oreo’s infamous cookie, making it possible to “eat a tweet”.

Woah. This is just really cool. #sxsw #3dprinting

I just finished "The Well's End" -- so good!! Will there be a sequel? One review I read said there would be, but she didn't have any references to back it up. PLEASE LET THERE BE A SEQUEL!

Oh, I’m so glad you liked! There WILL be a sequel. I turned in the draft to the editor just a few weeks ago!  Thanks for reading and, of course, for stopping every person you see on the street and making them read it (grin).
