Tomorrow is Crucible's Release Day

When my publisher told me the release date for Crucible, I immediately looked up the date.  It was Memorial Day.  Needless to say, I was quite nervous about it and considered asking them to change it by one week.  But then I looked at the bigger picture.  At the heart of Crucible is a strong military nucleus complete with trial, struggle, victory, loss, and the fortitude to endure a horrific battle to save lives.

I've had friends and family serve in the military.  Some have served in battle on the ground, at sea, or in the air.  Even a few paid the ultimate sacrifice so those who live on can appreciate the freedoms afforded to us today.  I hope when readers come to the end of this book that they stop and think of someone close to them who has served.  They have sacrificed their time away from family and friends to keep us safe.  My publisher had the right date. Crucible honors those men and women, just as Memorial Day is about honoring those who have fallen and for those who would boldly choose to do so to ensure we have a better tomorrow.

Star Wars Episode VII Filming Begins

Star Wars Episode VII Begins Filming

The first filming for a Star Wars film in over a decade has begun!  The news from JJ Abrams' twitter feed has spread like wildfire.  The new movie which is scheduled to be released December 18, 2015 has a cast of characters includes our favorite (Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher), some new faces, and veteran actors like Max Von Sydow.  I'll be posting new developments as they arrive, but I hope this new movie trilogy starts out strong.

Authorgraph now available for The Epherium Chronicles

Authorgraph Now Available ForThe Epherium Chronicles
One of the great ways authors can connect with readers is to sign autographs and include information the reader wants as part of it. Authorgraph makes that possible for ebook authors. It creates a separate digital inscription that can be sent to the readers digital reading device with the author's dedication and signature. I've added The Epherium Chronicles: Embrace to Autograph's catalog so readers can request them from me.   I will do the same for Crucible when it is released.  I will add a new widget to sidebar here and on the books page.

If you like an autograph and cannot attend a book cover signing, check this out.

ABC Renews Marvel Agents of Shield

ABC Renews Marvel Agents of Shield
ABC announced today that they have renewed the Marvel Agents of Shield series.  The series began its initial season with a strong debut, but trailed off sharply.  However, with tie-ins to Marvel's movies Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the series has seen an uptick in its ratings.

In another move to enhance its line-up of comic book themed TV series, ABC has picked up Marvel's Agent Carter.  For those of you who don't know the character, Agent Peggy Carter was the person who trained with Steve Rogers (Captain America) and was his love interest in WWII.  In the latest Captain America movie, Steve visits Peggy who is now in her 90s.  This new series picks up as Agent Carter is attached to a new fledgling organization that will become S.H.I.E.L.D after the war has ended..
