Sometimes, I Wish
Taking a short break from my podcast to get back to my creativity.
I wrote this without editing.
Sometimes, I wish,
I was unable to feel
the wind,
as she whispers,
upon the nape of my neck,
beneath the midnight moon.
Sometimes, I wish,
I was not able to understand,
the birds, singing,
solely for me -
at each fresh dawn.
Sometimes, I wish,
I was unable to comprehend
the grass,
speaking volumes,
beneath my feet, bare,
in the midday sun.
Sometimes, just sometimes,
I wish, I wonder,
why I was born,
to feel everything
intensely -
like volcanic rumbling,
deep beneath the earths core,
like a tsunami,
roaring -
ravaging destruction,
like a hurricane
roiling,
a funnel of fury,
and like a swan
swimming,
ever so gently -
still -
upon the cool calm waters of life.
Sometimes I wish, but I dont, not really,
not truly, want to - wish to be
anything
but
a feeling, loving,
ever so intensely
empathic human soul
where in my world,
giving is beauty,
loving is natural,
where there are no expectations,
games,
confusions,
or lack
of proper communication.
Sometimes I wish I was blind to all that is unseen.
Sometimes.
