Chasing Wild Excerpt 2!
She turns to me and narrows her eyes. “Chase Wild, you could have shown me this over a FaceTime call, and it would have been a lot faster. I feel bad that you came all the way into town to get me, when I could have saved you the trouble.”
“But then I wouldn’t have the pleasure of showing you around the ranch, would I?”
She gazes longingly at the mountains. “Well, I would like to see it. And you have pizza.”
“Pizza and a tour sounds like a good deal to me.” I hold her door open for her, then round the front of the truck and climb into the driver’s seat. “We’ll keep these windows down and eat on the way, if that’s okay.”
“Are you kidding? I can eat pizza anywhere.” She opens the box and takes out a slice, passes it to me, then takes one for herself. “I do notice, however, that you’re always feeding me.”
I glance her way, and my breath catches in my throat. Christ, she looks good on my ranch, the sun shining through her blonde hair, watching me with happy blue eyes as she munches on her pizza.
“Why do you think that is?” she continues.
“We have to eat,” I reply with a shrug. And I love watching this woman eat. The way she eats is sexy as fuck, and she’s unapologetic about enjoying every bite.
“Plus,” I continue, “I like spending time with you. Two birds, one stone.”
She glances my way and then back out the window. “So, what was it like to grow up out here?”
“Heaven.” I finish my pizza and move to get another slice, but Summer’s already holding it out for me. “Thanks. Growing up here was the best there is. We were hardly ever inside, unless there was a blizzard. We spent most of our time with our dad in the barn or on horseback.”
“I’ve never ridden a horse,” she mutters, and I frown over at her. “What? I may have grown up in Montana, but my dad was a senator. I lived in the city.”
“Well, we’re going to change that and get you on a horse in the near future.”

Chasing Wild Excerpt
Hi, friends!
It’s Teaser Tuesday, my favorite day!
If you’ve read me for any length of time, you know that not only do I enjoy writing a love story, but I also enjoy the other relationships within that story. The friendships are invaluable to me, and Chasing Wild is no different. Summer’s best friend is Polly, the owner of Pocket Full of Polly, the awesome dress boutique in Bitterroot Valley, and these two make me laugh! Here, I’ll shut up and let you see for yourself:
“I do have a confession.” I take another sip of my drink, needing the courage.
“Did you sleep with Evan?” she asks, her eyes widening.
“No! Hell no.” I scrunch up my nose. “Just, no. I think I might have a crush on Chase Wild.”
Polly stares at me for five seconds and then busts up laughing.
“What’s so funny?”
“Of course, you do, honey. Have you seen that man? Holy shit, Summer, he’s hot as the sun, and I think you should chase him down—see what I did there?”
“Har har.”
“Chase that man down and ride him like the cowboy he is.”
“Polly.”
“What? You should. You haven’t dated in five freaking years. It’s time to move on from those assholes and get laid, girlfriend.”
“Hi, Pot, I’m Kettle. I don’t see you dating and getting laid.”
“I’m focusing on my career right now.”
I tilt my head to the side. “Yeah? Me, too.”
“Seriously, Summer,” Polly continues. “You told me that Chase asked you out years ago.”
“He did, but I wasn’t ready for anything then. I was too…numb.”
“I get that. But you’re not numb now.”
“No, I’m not. He was so sweet when he came to my place on the Fourth, and he pops in now and then to see how I am. He even brought me cookies today because he said his mom made too many.”
“Okay, that’s sweet. And a total excuse to get to see you.”
“You think?”
“Hell yes. If he had extra cookies, he could have taken them to work or something. He wanted to see you. He’s hot, Summer. Do it. Go for it.”
“I don’t know.”
Polly rolls her eyes. “Okay, now you’re annoying me. You don’t have anything to lose. Do the hot Wild brother so you can report back and tell me all about it.”
“I don’t know if that’s a good reason to have sex,” I say, considering. “Also, I didn’t even say anything about sex to begin with. I was thinking about just dating him.”
“Do both,” Polly suggests with a wink. “And tell me all about it.”

The cover reveal is here and I'm so excited, I can't sit still. Finding an image for Chase and Summer's story was difficult. I was ultra picky on this one. Recently, I befriended an amazing photographer here in Montana, and she had this image in her archives, and I knew it was the one! For reasons you'll discover later, the lake was important to me for this one, and here it is! This image was taken in Montana, which makes me even happier.

I thought I’d officially introduce you to Johnny and Holly, Remington’s gorgeous, and hilarious, kids. These two just melted my heart when I was writing this book. They have great humor, and they know how to roll with the punches. So, without further ado, I’d love for you to meet Johnny and Holly!

“What’s going on?” I ask as I walk into the kitchen and then stop cold.
There’s milk spilled all over the countertop and on the floor. Someone dragged a bath towel through the milk, smearing it all over.
“Is that chocolate?” I ask, pointing to the brown substance dripping onto the granite.
“I wanted chocolate milk,” Holly says as her eyes fill with tears. “And Johnny spilled the milk all over.”
“It fell,” Johnny insists. His own voice is quivering. “The jug was full and heavy, and it just fell. I couldn’t make it stop coming out.”
“Don’t be mad,” Holly pleads, and I realize that I must be a real asshole if my kids are this scared that they’ll get in trouble for a silly mistake.
“I’m not mad.” I take a deep breath, surveying the scene. “It looks like you two need to go change your clothes because you got wet.”
“Yeah.” Johnny’s voice is already much calmer. “It really splashed.”
“Can we change into jammies?”
I raise my eyebrows at my daughter. “Before six in the evening? Sure, if you want to. Go get comfy, and I’ll clean this up.”
“Thank you, Daddy.” Holly throws herself around my legs and hugs me tightly before running off to change.
Johnny, however, stays behind, his face totally serious.
“What’s up?” I ask him as I reach for the paper towels.
“Thanks for not yelling.” He shuffles from one foot to the other. “I mean, you don’t usually yell real loud, but we don’t usually mess up this bad, and you’ve been really mad lately. So, thanks for not yelling.”
And with that, he runs off behind his sister, and I have to take a minute to myself.
Yeah, I’ve been mad.
I’ve been frustrated.
And as of right now, I’m going to stop taking it out on my kids.
