the paris wedding book blog tour: the good life france

The Good Life France is an independent online magazine that celebrates France and all things French. For English-speakers living in France or armchair francophiles around the globe, The Good Life France provides readers with a view of France like no other-  with their fantastic photographs, essential guides and insider’s tips. It’s the perfect stop for The Paris Wedding Blog Tour today, because, like The Good Life France, the book highlights many aspects of life in France as an Anglophone. You can learn about the ins-and-outs (and ups-and-downs!) of planning a legal wedding ceremony in Paris as a foreigner in this excerpt from the book. Discover the day-to-day inspirations of Paris as seen through the eyes of an American wedding planner in this interview, and lastly, read a review of the book itself by expat British journalist Janine, who writes from her French haven in the Nord Pas-de-Calais region.

Just two more days before The Paris Wedding Autour du Monde Blog Tour comes to an end on Monday, April 15th. Take a look at what’s already happened on the tour, as well as the next few stops here. There’s also still time to win a copy of the book on the Brides and Beauty blog in their giveaway contest, so be sure to stop over there. Thanks so much for your support of The Paris Wedding- please don’t hesitate to write a review of the book if you love it (and I know you’ll love it!) on the Amazon review page. A demain!

parisian wedding hairstyle tips and planning destination weddings in paris

Spring has finally sprung in Paris, and not a moment too soon, I might add. The Paris Wedding Autour du Monde Blog Tour is creeping towards the finish line and I simply couldn’t stand it if the entire tour was spent dashing between raindrops. And speaking of raindrops-  the first stop of today’s leg of the tour is Brides and Beauty, the popular English blog from top UK bridal hair and make-up artist, Joyce Conner.  I shared some Parisian wedding hairstyle tips with B&B, as well as a copy of the book that’s going to be gifted (!) to one of her lucky readers. Take a look at the post here, and don’t forget to enter the giveaway!

Next we zig back over to the U.S. to chit-chat with The Daily Basics, the absolutely gorgeous Living Lifestyle Directory, about creating The Paris Wedding book, as well as “insider tips” on planning the perfect destination wedding in Paris. Take a look at the interview here.

Don’t forget, The Paris Wedding Autour du Monde Blog Tour runs for just three more days- through Monday, April 15. Check out what’s already been said, as well as the upcoming stops on the tour here, and for your own copy of The Paris Wedding, pop in to your favorite online bookseller.

the paris wedding blog tour: le quatrieme jour

Eco-Beautiful Weddings (the daily blog for stylish green weddings) are celebrating their sassy new make-over this week, so I’m very flattered that they chose to participate in The Paris Wedding Autour du Monde Blog Tour before the new coat of paint even had a chance to  dry.  I’m loving the bold floral pattern and the strong splashes of red on the banner and menu. As they themselves said in a post earlier this week, “Being “green” for your weddings and your life does not mean you need to be married to the color green”.  So true…  For this Fourth Day of the blog tour, I share an excerpt from The Paris Wedding with Eco-Beautiful Weddings readers, called:  Top 5 Ideas for an Eco-Friendly Wedding in Paris.

Earlier in the tour, I guest posted on BonjourParis.com with the story of how I ended up being an American wedding planner in Paris.  Over the years, I’ve found that a “Paris Wedding” can mean different things to different people, and in my second guest post on BonjourParis.com, I explain a bit about why I think this might be. Take a look at the article here.

Remember, The Paris Wedding Autour du Monde Blog Tour runs through Monday, April 15. Check out what’s already been said, as well as the upcoming stops on the tour here, and don’t forget to enter Lost in Cheeseland’s give-away to win your very own copy of The Paris Wedding.

the paris wedding in four seasons weddings: tips for an engagement or wedding photo session in paris

It’s widely known that Holly Golightly would go to Tiffany’s in order to get over her “mean reds”.  I, personally, find a trip to the Four Seasons Hotel George V to be the preferred remedy to chase my Paris blues away. Three days into The Paris Wedding “Autour du Monde” Blog Tour, and what better way to pass over this “hump day” than with a stop at Four Seasons Weddings, where I share a few of my favorite spots for planning an engagement or wedding photo session in Paris. Take a look!

If you’re in the mood for some straight-up juicy Parisian wedding eye-candy, then take a look at The Brides Cafe, where you’ll find Real Wedding images of Pamela and Matt’s Amelie Poulain-inspired Paris wedding that’s featured in the book, as well as a few mots doux about The Paris Wedding from the lovely Janie Medley. Merci les filles for spreading the book love!

short dresses for a springtime wedding in paris

La météo may be saying something different, but as of yesterday it is officially Springtime in Paris. Before you know it the scarves will come off, the oversized “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” shades will come out, and the terraces will once again be buzzing with the hub-bub of Paris that we’ve all missed so much these past months.

As in most parts of the world, the arrival of Spring in France also sees the kick-off of wedding season. Here’s a sneak peek at some of my favorite short and sassy Parisian wedding dresses (for all budgets!) from Printemps/Ete 2013 to get you in the mood for the warm weather ahead:

real wedding: parisian chic, intimate mariage de luxe

How do you define “Parisian Chic”?  Stylishly refined?  Effortlessly sophisticated?  Romantically modern?  After you see these images of my gorgeous clients, you’ll define it like I do now: Parisian Chic is Lauren and Ben’s wedding. This Australian-American couple plan to live in Paris one day, so decided to host their wedding in the City that means so much to them both. With loved ones coming in from all four corners of the globe, they wanted a celebration that was fun and memorable for their guests and reflected their own tastes and styles.

After their sweet, traditional church ceremony, Lauren and Ben took off with photographer Jo to all of their favorite Parisian haunts, then rejoined their entourage at a hôtel particulier, a privately-owned 18th century mansion,  for dinner, drinks and dancing until the wee hours of the morning. Un mariage de luxe:

and the winner is: valentine’s day blog giveaway!

Last week, I asked readers to post a comment proclaiming to the WORLD why they loved Paris. For their efforts, I would randomly draw one name to gift the book “Paris in Love” by photographer Alison Harris.  And the winner is: Mary Priddy from the Operation Paris blog.  Mary is a “Parisiophile extraordinaire living in Austin, Texas.”  I hope that winning this book is a good sign that Mary will soon get her wish and return to the city of her dreams.  You can also follow her on twitter at @operation_paris.

A HUGE merci to everyone for playing along. Thank you for sharing, and thanks again for reading my blog!
