After graduating college in 1995 with a strong literary background and a creative writing degree, Donna Cook discovered fantasy in 2002 when the popularity of the Harry Potter books was too much for her to ignore. She fell in love with the whimsy and adventure of the genre. Her award-winning debut, Gift of the Phoenix, released in 2012. A related novella, Nashua's Choice released in April 2013. Her latest novel, The Lost Branch released November 2015.

She's an Arizona native transplanted to Boise, Idaho. When she's not writing she spends her time chasing the kids, exploring delicious eateries downtown, and dancing with her talented husband.

Beth Michele Thanks for the invite Donna! :)

Elyse I read some of the reviews of these other people and they are so freaking smart I feel like a complete idiot who knows nothing and shouldn't ever talk about anything. :( I'll never be as smart or knowledgeable as I want to be.

Elyse So this is the fourth place we have to communicate. this, FB, phone and email - am I forgetting anything? You are just the best. Sorry you can't get rid of me.

Donna Cook I'm removing all books I've rated with one or two stars. It just doesn't feel right to discourage readers from trying a book they may turn out to love. We're all looking for something different as readers, and I think it's important to respect that. So I'll reserve my posts to those books I've enjoyed. Happy reading!
