Character chart for you writers – courtesy of @epiguide
I’ve got more characters in my head than I know what to do with, lately. When I began writing on Sanguine Affliction back in the day, we had our own bio form that fit my needs for a lot of years. Once I started putting all that role playing together, I realized – I had a crap load of people to keep track of. Most of my characters were created back in 2005, and I still forget silly things like first names. I like this form and I think I’ll start using this version.
Enjoy!

Take the Monkeys and Run (Barbara Marr murder mystery #1)
Karen Cantwell Twitter
Book 1 in the bestselling Barbara Marr Murder Mystery Series
Film lover Barbara Marr is a typical suburban mom living the typical suburban life in her sleepy little town of Rustic Woods, Virginia. Typical, that is until she sets out to find the missing link between a bizarre monkey sighting in her yard and the bone chilling middle-of-the-night fright fest at the strangely vacant house next door. When Barb talks her two friends into some seemingly innocent Charlie’s Angels-like sleuthing, they stumble upon way more

Don’t let the cover fool you, although feel free to admire the scenery. One doesn’t normally associate ripped abs with books, but it would behoove you to ignore the connotations of bodice ripping in some old library you’re imagining right now, and at least read the prologue. I did and I’m pretty glad I gave this story a chance, despite the cover.
I’m not a huge romance fan. I am a woman, bordering on being

My #bookreview rating system – an explanation.
Out of 5 stars – 5 being super awesome…
5/5 – is damn near impossible. Examples – ‘Ender’s Game’, Jim Butcher’s ‘Changes’, Harry Harrison first 3 ‘Stainless Steel Rat’ series
4/5 – Legitimately thought out mystery/plot. Intriguing characters. Solid story with believable ending that kept me reading into the wee hours of the night.
3/5 – You wrote a story and the grammar was decent. It has a plot that is basic and complete. Gold star for you.
2/5 – You didn’t get this edited by a professional…did you? Your dialogue hurts me to read it. Your grammar could make angels weep with pain.
