Duke by Day, Rogue by Night is Here!!

Happy Halloween everybody!

Who doesn't love an alpha male, especially if he's dressed as a pirate? An aristocrat portraying himself as a fop to keep his enemies and the ton at bay? Or men willing to forsake their place in society as first sons in order to serve England without falling under suspicion? Most anyone would find a rogue like this wildly exciting. But not Lady Constance Danbury. Her previous experience with pirates left her motherless and fearful of the sea. But when her father's reputation is practically in tatters and he must wed her to a lecherous lord with a penchant for abuse in order to replenish his coffers, Constance boards a ship bound for Spain in order to escape and plead for her aunt's help. What happens on that ship catapaults Constance into a den of intrigue and danger. It also brings her face to face with a man who cannot compete with her wildest imaginings— a duke by day, rogue by night.

While you masquerade in costume today, I hope you'll give the first book in my Nelson's Tea trilogy a try. It debuted two days ago and I'm still over the moon.

Enjoy the adventure, but don't forget to love a rogue.

To Sir Christmas, With Love is Available NOW!

Ahoy, me hearties! I got so carried away with release day for To Sir Christmas, With Love , and a deadline for the third book in my Christmas for Ransome Series, that I forgot to write a blog about my good news on Goodreads. (Well, there was a holiday in there too. So, here's a belated Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate! 🎉🦃🎉

The Pirate's Yuletide Treasure, which started out as a short story in A Christmas Brothel Anthology as The Pirate's Yuletide Haven, is the inspiration for this series.

Readers wanted to know more about Captain Ransome and his wife, Cassia. What a wonderful romantic duo! I've had a FABulous time writing this new three book series based on the short story for you.

It's called the Christmas for Ransome Series.

In To Sir Christmas, With Love, you'll meet two prisoners of war that Captain Ransome liberates a year before the short story takes place. The first book features a navy captain who's been a prisoner of war for five years and the woman who's waited for his return. The second book, Yule be Home for Christmas, features the surgeon and a stablemaster's daughter. The third book in the series, the expanded short story, focuses on Captain Ransome and Cassia as they fight to make their way to Klaus Haus for Christmas Eve.

Here's a peek at To Sir Christmas, With Love.

Napoleon’s war still rages on the Continent, and Lieutenant Christmas Astley-Milne must return to sea. However, Chris is tormented that Emma Clavering, the woman he’s always loved, might marry another while he’s gone. There’s nothing for it but for him to propose before he leaves.

Emma accepts without hesitation. But as months turn into years, and nothing more is heard of Chris, must she also accept that he’s dead, or is he being held captive? The only way she can keep hope alive is to help bring prisoners of war back to England as part of a smuggling operation she runs with her cousin. It’s her dearest wish that Chris, wherever he is, is being treated well, and he, too, will eventually be returned safe and sound.

Finally, after five long years, her steadfastness is rewarded when Chris comes home just in time for Christmas. But he is not the same man who left her to fight the French. War has changed him, and he is wounded inside and out. Will anything, save a Yuletide miracle, be enough to thaw his heart?

Special thanks to Goodreads reviewers who have given the book 4 - 5 Star reviews. Huzzah!!!

Book two releases December 13th. Book three will release mid-January.

Prisoners of war. Friends to lovers. Pirates. Smugglers. Daring women. Christmas lyrics and old fashioned traditions await.

Blessings,
Katherine
