Cover Reveal for Wicked Hope

There isn’t anything that Mage McPherson wouldn’t do for Adam, including steal someone’s spirit. After He's tragically lost to her, Mage discovers a spell that can bring him back. But things can never be that simple and she learns the hard way that there are always consequences when it comes to magic. Adam isn’t quite the Adam she remembers and now whatever he feels, she feels.

Adam Westcott knows three things. One, he loves Mage. Two, thanks to her wonder spell they are now somehow physically connected. And three, there’s a part of him, right next to the heart that beats for her, that wants to kill her. The only option is to run, but it’s impossible to run away from yourself. The inner struggle within him makes for a hard fight when yet another dark magic comes to call.

Sometimes it’s not evil that you must defeat…sometimes it’s love, and when the line between love and hate is at its thinnest, there’s no telling what can happen. But Mage won’t lose hope, even if destiny is being a witch.

Sometimes all you need is Patience.

Life’s been hard for Zeke. Being a punching bag for his alcoholic father has turned him into stone. Not even the dodgy trailer park he lives in can scare him. Fighting is his release and sex, drugs, and his guitar bring him peace, but deep down Zeke isn’t quite as hard as he makes himself out to be. When he meets Patience, she finds all his broken pieces and puts him back together, but she’s a ray of light in his shadowed life and the last thing he wants to do is bring her into his dark world. Playing careless is easy, playing the bad guy can be fun, but playing Patience is impossible, especially when she can see right through him.

Zeke isn’t the only one who’s broken, and for the first time, in a long time, Patience feels alive. Her black and white world gets a shot of color when she meets Zeke. He’s unlike anyone she’s ever met with his tattoos, piercings, and blunt honesty. She wants nothing more than to let go and ride the wild side with him, but some wounds never heal and the broken pieces of Patience aren’t so easy to find.

Wicked Hope Sneak Peek *Wicked Fate Spoiler Alert!*

       Wicked Hope
                                       Sneak Peek
                                                                            (Unedited)

Haunted She’s crying in her sleep again. I didn’t even know that was humanly possible. Most nights she just mumbles and whines, but tonight there are actual tears glistening in the moonlight. I watch as moisture slides down the side of her cheek. I long to brush it away, to lean in and hold her close as she cries for me, but I can’t. She knows I’m here, but she can’t feel me. I can’t feel her either and if I wasn’t already a dead man, it would kill me. Dying sucks. One minute you’re looking into the eyes of the woman you love—shocking, blue pools of ice staring down at you, and the next you’re standing next to her, looking down onto your own empty body. I’m the soul of the man I used to be, a wisp of humid air that sometimes moves her hair, but that’s all I am, and until forever is over, that’s all I’ll ever be. Death is not a journey, it’s a prison. One where you can see and hear everything around you, but you can’t respond. There’s no laughter, there’s no joy, just an unmistakable ache that isn’t painful…an ache that lies upon your unmoving heart and settles into your stomach. If it weren’t for Thaddeus I’d go mad. I’d run the hallways of Mage’s home marking the path with ungodly screams that no one could hear. I’d beat upon the furniture and watch as it didn’t dent. I know these things because I’ve broken before. I’ve run the halls screaming and beat against the walls, but the walls don’t move and the people don’t blink. I’m nothing but a watcher of her and my soul is altered every time she cries for me. I spend most nights on the balcony outside of Mage’s room. Sometimes when the moonlight hits my hands the right way they look touchable.  My fingers look strong again and not like iridescent strands of clouded air. It makes me feel real, keeps me hanging on for just one more hour.  Sleep doesn’t exist for me anymore and some nights I watch the moonlight on my hands until the dawn peeks through and I become sheer again. That was the kind of night I had. And now, as the morning light slips through the lofty oaks surrounding the house, I know my living moment is dying.

Julia Crane

Today I'd like to welcome Julia Crane to my blog. This is very exciting for me since I rarely use my blog for anything. What better way to use it than to post about another author, especially one as sweet as Julia. Enjoy!

Bio

Julia Crane is the author of the Coexist: Keegan's Chronicles. She has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Julia has believed in magical creatures since the day her grandmother first told her an Irish tale. Growing up her mother greatly encouraged reading and using your imagination. Although she's spent most of her life on the US coast, she currently lives in Dubai with her husband and three children.

Freak of Nature (IFICS book one)
Donate Body to Science. Check. When seventeen-year-old Kaitlyn checked the box, she never suspected she’d have her life–and her body–stolen from her. She awakens one day in a secret laboratory to discover that her body is now half-robot and is forced to hide her own secret: that she still has human emotions and a human mind. If the scientists who made her find out, they’ll erase what remains of who she was. Kaitlyn finds an unlikely ally in Lucas, a handsome, brilliant scientist who can’t get over the guilt he feels knowing she was once a vibrant, beautiful young woman. He never expected a science project to affect him the way she does. As he tries to help her rediscover her past, he finds himself falling for the brave girl struggling to find her place and acceptance between the human and computer worlds.

On the Plus Side

I know it's been a while since I've done the blogging thing, but I've been insanely busy with the holidays and trying to get some writing done. But I have some exciting news and I wanted to blog about it, so here I am!

My newest book On the Plus Side is well on its way to being finished. I've been in a writing cave for two days straight and I have to say that I think I may be more excited about this book than I was about Wicked Fate.

I was reading through it and it struck me how personal this book is for me. It's a story about a plus size girl who, quite honestly, is so much like me it scares me a bit. I can safely say that I put so much of myself into this character and maybe I shouldn't have, but it felt right. The idea of putting this book out there and having people possibly rip her character apart scares the crap out of me, but I believe in this book and I believe in myself.

The main character, Lilly, experiences feelings that I myself have experienced more than I'd ever like to admit and there were times when I was writing the dialogue that my eyes watered up a bit. Some of the names she was called in the story hit home for me and I had to relive a lot of things I'd hoped to never think about again.

Writing this book has been a form of release in so many ways. My own form of therapy and I really hope it does well. Actually, I know it will do well. There are people all over the world who have felt the way the characters in this book have felt. They are very relatable.

There is no "official" release date for this book. I refuse to do that to myself again. With Wicked Fate I had to change it so many times it drove me nuts. One of the joys of being an indie writer is I'm on my on time clock. I will say though, that this book is very close to being released. Right now, it's in the editing stages and being handed over to my beta readers. I have to do some touch ups to the ending and then I will release it over to you guys. I can only pray that you guys love it as much as I do.

Big girls need love, too, but at what cost?

Lilly is loaded, not only with money, but with weight. Neither of these things does she really want or need. Regardless of her large bank account and fat ass, she tries to live a relatively normal life. But when a tall, dark, and sexy stranger with seductive green eyes comes along, that boring predicable life soon takes a wild turn. What happens when she finds out that the money she despises so much is the real reason for bringing this stranger into her life, as well as her heart?

Devin and his dad are about to lose everything, and if he doesn’t come up with large amount of money and fast, they will. It seems that all is lost when out of the blue he is approached by a millionaire momma with an offer that he can’t refuse. Its simple...date her lonely plus size daughter, making her happy for three months, and keep the home and business that they have worked so hard for. Sounds like a pretty easy task for a womanizer like Devin, but what happens when the short chunky girl with the carefree attitude becomes the beauty that breaks through his icy façade?

***Warning: this book contains graphic language, sex, and violence. Mature readers only. Not intended for young adult readers.***

Thank You!

So tomorrow is the first day of the Wicked Fate Blog Tour, and it all just seems surreal to me. To think that the entire idea behind this book started in 1996, and now here it is, sixteen years later, and I'm releasing the book in two weeks. It's scary and exciting, but worth every minute.

You see, I've been asked during a few of my interviews why I write, or is there anything I'd like to say to my readers. The answer to these questions will always be the same. I write, not only because I love it, but because there was once a time in my life when writing helped me make it through what wasn't a very great childhood.

There were times when I would lock myself in my room and block out whatever bad things were going on in the rest of my house. I would open my notebook, which I still own by-the-way, and I would lose myself in a short story or a poem...anything that would take me away. So the stories that I write for you are more than just stories, they are the rescue of a young teenage girl...my alternate world. The books that I'm going to release over the next few years were my way of stepping out of my life and taking a walk in someone else's shoes. Whether that someone had it better than me, or worse than me, in so many ways leaving my world for their alternate world saved my life.

Because of how much my writing means to me, I wanted to take some time before this tour kicks off or before my book goes on sale, to say THANK YOU to everyone who has taken time out of their life to help me in any way, shape, or form. Whether is was just to repost my page on Facebook, or jumping on board the tour...you can't know how much your help means to me. I've said it to each of you over and over again because I can't seem to stress it enough. The amount of love and support I've gotten from people that I've never met in person baffles me and I love each and every one of you for it. <3

Thanks so much guys! Wish me luck! :)
