The Power of Goal Setting

Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.
~ Tony Robbins

In my opinion as a parent one of the most important job you’ve on earth is to teach your child the power of goal setting.

If you can instill this thing called goal setting in your child, then it will automatically lead them to the path of success throughout their entire life.

This success will not only limited to your child academic side, but it will also ensure your kid’s success in whatever career or business he/she is pursuing.

We should teach our children to set small reachable goals at first and then grow gradually.

Time and time again studies have shown that children who participate in setting their own goals are more motivated and self directed throughout their life.

They take things more seriously and would give their best to get the desired outcome.

Our job is to teach them that they are the Pilot, the captains of their own ship … that they themselves have the power to reach the destination they wish to reach. They are not the Victim of Outer circumstances – They are the creators of Circumstances.

Through the power of goal setting children learn and develop the skill of self determination. It will help them to make their own decisions and guide them further in all areas of their life.

You can begin the discussion of goal setting with your child by asking about what they would like to become in their life. Try to develop a strong vision in them about their dreams/goals.

Always teach them that there is nothing impossible in this world if your child develops a plan for accomplishing his/her dream through the power of goal setting.

When a goal is reached, celebrate it!!!

Last but not the least, always make sure you acknowledge your child’s progress and encourage them further to accomplish their goals.

Wishing you ABUNDANCE of Love & JOY…Happy Parenting!!!

Teaching The Power of Healthy Competition to Your Kids

Although children should not compete with anyone but it’s no doubt that Childhood is full of competition. We cannot escape competition by any chance.

WE should always encourage our children to become a better human being. Not to compete with anyone but to improve themselves.

In fact, competition makes the strong stronger…it’s all about survival of the fittest as it brings the best out of our kids and making them capable of surviving in adverse conditions.

Now, as a mother I always think about encouraging my kids for a healthy competition and here are some tips that I’ve learn through trial and error with my own kids and I hope it will be equally beneficial for others too.

Teaching the Power of Healthy Competition to Your Kids

1.
First of all, always explain your kids about the importance of doing their best in everything they do.

2.
Make sure you set realistic goals for them to stick to, so that it will encourage healthy and constructive competition among them especially youngsters.

3.
Always lead them with the help of examples as our children learn from what they see and hear and if you do your best then your kids are bound to follow your footsteps.

4.
Instill your children with right kind of spirit. Always teach them values as much as you can by explaining them that the victory that comes with cheating or manipulating will not last long.

5.
Keep your focus on how much they tried their best to do a certain task irrespective of the outcome. Try not to focus on the fact that they won or lost, but the fact of how well they played by putting their best.

6.
Set the right signals by letting them know that you are more interested to know how your kids performed rather than whether they lost or won, you will be able to drive home the point that their performance is much more important than whether they win or lose.

7.
Try to encourage your child to work hard and keep on improving in whatever they do. This way over a period of time your can check their progress and the areas that needs improvement.

8.
Last but not the least, always accept them as who they are…as in the long run that’s what healthy competition is all about…doing your best and keep on improving with happiness.

Wishing you ABUNDANCE of Love & JOY…Happy Father’s Day!!!

Empowering Children Using Positive Affirmations

“I can do this”, “I am Brilliant” “I am Excellent”, when I hear these words from my 4 year old daughter, my heart is filled with joy as I know her self talk and confidence would help her accomplish any goal in life.

Have you ever used the power of positive self talk to make you feel better? I’m sure, if you do, then you know the joyful feeling it will bring.

Our self confidence plays a vital role on the attitudes and outcomes in our lives.

It’s no doubt that positive affirmations plays a great role to empower our children by realizing their unlimited potential.

In fact, our self-talk has a definite effect on the attitudes and outcomes in our lives. What we think, we create!

Our thoughts, words and beliefs are powerful creating tools that are at work all the time, whether we realize it or not.

Positive affirmations are very effective with young children because they are in tune with their inner power and emphasizing positive thoughts and feelings gives children the self-confidence and positive outlook, which helps them create joyful experiences.

My Amazon bestselling book “A-Z The Universe in Me” is a collection of short poems, filled with lots of positive affirmations composed especially for children to hear and enjoy, to sing and repeat.

This book was written just for YOU…To remind you who you are…
And the wonderful things you can have, be, and do…

Believe in yourself, know that it’s true
Greatness is really all about you…

So say it out loud, repeat it, and as you do,
You will feel the Universe’s unlimited potential,
Working through you too…!

Thanks for reading this blog post…will get back to you soon!

The Power of Emotions

Well, we can look at life as a Game… where all of us are trying to win. But, the actual winners are only those who have control over thoughts and emotions.

Our emotions are just like our source of energy, as it denotes the power within us.

When our thoughts are charged with positive emotions, they become very powerful.
The important thing is, we should always be fully aware about this fact that by using the power of emotions in our lives, we can achieve anything that we desire.

If we wish to create a pleasant reality, we MUST become conscious of our thoughts and emotions all the time. By taking control over our thoughts and emotions, we can create a wonderful life. We take charge. We become the Captain of our ship, which is what we call our life, rather than being a passenger.

Let me show you how simple it is. When you choose to think a happy Joyful thought you bring about happy Joyful emotions which will ultimately help YOU to experience happy joyful life.

While creating our own reality, we should be fully aware and take control over the emotions, as these are one of the most powerful aspects of mind and have a powerful impact on our energy which will help us to shape our individual reality.

It’s a fact that how we feel is crucial to how we approach things. It will help us to develop our attitudes and ultimately leads to results.

One of the most powerful emotions is joy. It has a high level of energy vibrations. The more joy we feel, the more effective results we will get.

People with a genuine passion for something always follow that passion with great joy and enthusiasm.

With the power of emotions, we can master our thoughts and by mastering our thoughts, we master our lives…

So, always be positive…enjoy your life!

Wishing you ABUNDANCE of Love & JOY!

Always!

The Power of Our Words

Solomon said, “The tongue of the wise is health” (Proverbs 12:18) and “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21)

Words…They are powerful. Words have a magical power.

Our words describe our thoughts in our inner world. Words have a profound impact on our life. They have the power to create our results which are a product of our inner self talk.

So, we should start using supportive empowering words with ourselves and with others.

Words give us power to express and communicate and therefore they have the power to create the events of our lives.

Words guide us. They are an important part of our daily life. We hear them in songs read them in books, and letters.

We speak them. We hear them.

They have the power to lift our spirits. They can encourage and motivate us. They are a vital part of who we are.

When the Universe was created, it is said “And God said ‘Let there be light.’” God spoke, used words to create the Universe. The existence of words is powerful.

AS humans, we speak out our minds express our thoughts through words. Words are capable of crating an emotion or feeling.

When we listen to a song about love, the words touch and move us. We can also feel sadness if we hear or read certain words.

WE can hurt others by using powerful words that wound someone’s heart. WE experience different emotions and influence others, all because of the power of words.

Words are of great importance. They play a significant role in the quality of our lives. Therefore, we must notice and pay careful attention to the use of words.

Some words create a warm pleasant feeling within us while some can bring our spirit down by crating sadness and making us cry. When we speak, we speak our mind out loud. We speak our thoughts.

It is important to be careful with our words. The words that we use, be it during a quiet self talk or while speaking out loud, can determine whether we feel uplifted or discouraged.

We can truly improve any area of our own life simply by using the right words. We can create better health when we feel good.

When we feel positive, our immune system gets stronger. Let’s say that our friend says “you can do it…I believe in you.” It gives us power to keep going in spite of challenges. If we use words like “I can do it, ” these positive words can change our reality.

We should always use words that would encourage our children…

What words do you often use with your children?

Are those words lift up their spirit?

What words do you use when things are not going as you wish?

Wishing you ABUNDANCE of Love & JOY!

The Power of Belief

When we believe with certainty, we figure out ways and means to achieve our goals. We never give up on our ideas or dreams. ~ Anthony Robins

The power of belief simply means that whatever we believe in with conviction will become our reality. It is only when we change our belief, which is a repeated thought, can we begin to change our reality. We often hear people say, “When I see it, I’ll believe it,” but, in fact, the opposite is true. People ought to say instead, “When I believe it, I’ll see it.” For it is true that we see only when we believe in it.

Things happen for a reason. Face problems and challenges as opportunities instead of obstacles. There is a gift, a lesson in all that happens, whether it is good or bad.

The first step to manifest is to believe that we can achieve that which we wish to achieve.

It’s important to understand the power of belief, and how and what causes it to work. It doesn’t matter if it is used for positive or negative purpose.

“It is done unto you as you believe.” What manifests as our life is nothing but our deeply rooted beliefs. It does not matter what we believe in. It will manifest.

Everything we focus on, we think about and deeply believe is being reflected to us.

We can learn to use the power of belief to our advantage simply by identifying and removing old limiting beliefs, and creating positive more empowering ones.

What we believe in and focus our thoughts on attracts like a magnetic force certain results in our life.

“Our beliefs are like unquestioned commands, telling us how things are, what’s possible and what’s impossible, what we can and cannot do. They shape every action, every thought, and every feeling that we experience.

As a result, changing our belief systems is central to making any real and lasting change in our lives. We must develop a sense of certainty that we can and will meet the new standards before we can actually do.”

Wishing you ABUNDANCE of Love & JOY!

The Power of the Present Moment

I once watched a movie with my children called ‘Kung Fu Panda’ and I remember a beautiful powerful saying: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and the present moment is all you have, that is why we call it a present.”

The power of the present moment is rarely used, or even understood, by the vast majority of people. We must start acting in NOW, in order to produce change in our lives.

If we wish to change habits like procrastination, we need to do so now, because only we know what needs improvement in our life.

All we need to do is execute it in the present.

Remember, this moment is a gift. What we really have is what we have now, and by being in the present, we are given the gift to create and change our life to how we want it to be.

Rather than dwelling on the past which yields mainly negative emotions such as anger, regret and guilt, or thinking about the uncertain future which for most people is a source of fear of the unknown, when our mind makes noise and prevents rational thinking, it is better to be fully present in the now and enjoy the present moment.

With a bit of practice, clarity of thought soon follows as nothing is more powerful than the present moment…that’s the power of the present moment….

Wishing you ABUNDANCE of Love & JOY!

The Power of NOW

Most of us live either in the past or in the future; it’s a fact, we either rewind to our past memories or wish for a better future.

Most importantly, we focus on what was, and how unpleasant events came to be. Or, we live in the future, indulging in wishful thinking or harboring fearful, uncertain thoughts about what might be.

Rarely do we focus on the present, on the ‘now’, as most of us only think of the past or future, instead of thinking about what we can do now to achieve our goals.

If we truly want to improve our lives, first of all, we must make certain changes; we have to think in the present about what we can do now to make it happen.

Saying “I’ll start this tomorrow,” will hardly make any significant change, for there is no end to procrastination, which becomes a habit.

Eckhart Tolle, in his book The Power of Now, writes, “Life is NOW. There was never a time when your life was not now. Nothing will ever happen in the future; it will happen in the now.” He also adds, “The quality of your consciousness at this moment is what shapes the future, which of course, can only be experienced as the now.”

Our search for answers ends with the present moment, says Eckhart, “You cannot find yourself by going into the past. You can find yourself by coming into the present.”

Even Mahatma Gandhi had said, “The future depends on what we do in the present.”

Truth be told, our present plays a very important role in our lives; otherwise we’ll spend our whole life just waiting to start living.

Live, Love, Create…Now is your time…go for it!!!

Wishing you ABUNDANCE of Love & JOY!

Unleash the Power of Positive Self Talk

It’s a fact that most of us talk to ourselves all day long it’s like we are in constant mental chatter. But, if this self talk is negative, be it tainted with guilt about our past or anxiety about our future, then this negativity can destroy our future dreams.

As it’s our nature to seek personal growth, emotionally, financially, physically so it’s no doubt, our actions are inspired by our thoughts and if we can slightly change the way we think, it will have an impact on our actions too.

To get rid out of this negativity, try these below steps to empower yourself.

1.
First of all, always eliminate internal negative chatter as much as you can and it can be achieved with the power of awareness. With a little awareness, you can get rid of your internal hurt and anger.

Be a positive thinker all the time by cancelling your negative thoughts as much as you can.

2.
Next is by using the power of positive affirmations. In my last blog post, I shed a little light on this subject.

Positive affirmations are short and highly focused. If you repeat them over and over again, then it will build inroads into your subconscious mind by opening a new possibility or state of positive thoughts.

3.
Always try to build positive scripts as you may have noticed that it is easy for us to build negativity upon negativity around us through our negative thoughts and it’s like a loop which will trap and limits your progress.

So, to get rid of this problem, always think about an inspiring story with positive outline.

Try to tell this positive story as long as you can to yourself. It will act like you’ve achieved something greater or you’re going to achieve your goals and dreams.

4.
It’s very important that you identity negative factors and try to replace them with positive factors in your life.

If some of your friends or relatives instill negative thoughts into your mind, be cautious and limit your exposure to them as much as you can.

Always discuss your upcoming plans with people who will lift you up, not with those, who are unsupportive of your dreams and goals.

5.
Always be in present state of mind as it’s natural that you would be overwhelmed by many things you need to do to reach your goals.

So to get rid of this worrying state, always think that what you can do right now that will get you closer to achieve your dreams.

6.
The one thing that holds you back from achieving success that you deserve in life is fear. Fear of losing your comfort zone, it’s like you will try to convince yourself that you’re more happy in your current situation and you don’t like to take chances.

Always think about the outcome and take a step by step approach to eliminate fear. Keep this thing in mind that the benefits of change are worth the risk and everything would be settled as your wish.

7.
Last but not the least, always, always focus on your enjoyable moments as much as you can. If you do, then it will help you to build a positive attitude towards any situation in life. You’ll feel stronger than ever to face challenges.

I know replacing negative thoughts with positive ones will not happen overnight, but with a little bit of positive self talk, you can be on your way to success. You’ll enjoy the energy these positive self talk bring into your life.

Be positive…enjoy your life!
