'A Scary Construction': Why the Left Aims to Destroy Human Families
Yesterday, I wrote a brief post in which I addressed a statement that leftist Hungarian politician Péter Niedermüller made regarding the current Hungarian government's family support schemes and policies. Concerning these, Niedermüller made the following proclamation:
“If we look at what’s left after you peel away the objects of the haters such as non-Hungarians, the others, migrants, the Roma … a scary construction is left in the middle: white, Christian, heterosexual men — there also women among them. That’s their vision of a family.”
Many people in Hungary have taken issue with this and have begun attacking Niedermüller, accusing him of racism and intolerance. Though I welcome seeing the Left roasted on their own spits, I feel this form of objection misses the mark somewhat.
To begin with, accusing NM of racism and intolerance places the objection firmly within a Leftist framework. This form of protest incorporates leftist language and approaches the problem from a leftist mode of thinking; this seems like a bad way to go about it, in my opinion.
Firstly, it diminishes and degrades the issue down to their level of 'discourse'. Secondly, it pits the challenge squarely within a battlefield the Left feel comfortable fighting in. Thirdly, it utilizes the same sorts of weapons the Left has been using for over two hundred years.
Now, there is certainly some satisfaction to be had in using the Left's own weapons against them, but those launching racism and intolerance accusations appear to be unaware of one startlingly obvious fact - no one understands these weapons better than the Left. And no one knows how better to neutralize these weapons should they fall into 'enemy' hands.
Yes, NM's statement can be classified as racist and intolerant, and yes, modern people do seem preprogrammed to react negatively to this sort of thing, but is the racism and intolerance NM expressed really the core issue here?
For his part, Niedermüller has already begun to dissemble by claiming his words were taken out of context and misinterpreted. He claims he was not specifically disparaging or stigmatizing white, Christian, heterosexual males and their families, but merely pointing out that the exclusionary aspects of the Orbán government's current family policy, the results of which, if the proper deductions are made, will end up producing a society that marginalizes everyone but Christian, heterosexual males and their families.
See how easy that was? So much for the Niedermüller is racist and intolerant line of attack - despite the obvious truth it contains.
I submit that Niedermüller's statement addresses a far deeper and far more relevant issue. That issue is the Left's unending war on Christian families specifically and on human families in general.
In my view, this is the only objection that matters because it drills down beneath the Left's apparently righteous objections to traditionally oppressive familiar structures and gets right to the metaphysical essence of why the Left truly seeks to destroy what Niedermüller so scornfully calls 'scary constructions.'
Much has been written about the war against the human family and family values, and I have no intention of wading into every single aspect of this conflict here. Evidence of this ongoing conflict are apparent everywhere in the world around us. Instead, I will make an attempt to briefly summarize why the Left purports to challenge the human family and then juxtapose this with what I feel to be the true, underlying reason the Left is so vehemently obsessed with dissolving what has often been termed 'the building blocks of human civilization'.
As is the case with almost everything else, the Left defines the human family as a social construct - that is, as something that does not exist in objective reality, but exists as a result of human interaction.
This point is paramount and must not be taken lightly. In the Left's view, objective reality supersedes human interaction. In other words, the way in which people interact in this world and the structures and understandings they develop through these interactions have no really bearing on objective reality. Keep this in mind, for it reveals the inherent evil within leftist assumptions.
Put another way, families only exist because people have agreed to form them and have developed a certain degree of communal understanding and agreement about their nature and function. They are not 'natural' formations. Instead, they are 'unnatural' constructions that have been invented to create, serve, and protect certain societal functions or power interests. At their very core, the Left does not believe families are 'real'; that is, the family has no inherent place in objective reality.
As such, the Left tends to promote ideas of the family as a functional unit within other functional units or as an oppressive social construct in much the same manner it promotes the idea of gender and race as oppressive social constructs.
In this light, the traditional family model in the West is reduced to an organ that exists only to serve other organs within civilization through a variety of material interactions, or as an oppressive patriarchal structure that immediately disempowers women in favor of men. These traditional family models make up the larger society in which the more privileged families oppress and exploit the less privileged families.
Children, regardless of which families they are born into, are immediately oppressed from birth through the inculcation of 'unreal' social constructs and tyrannical ideologies, thereby ensuring the maintenance of the status quo. Thus, at its core, the Left tends to view the family as a solely material phenomenon and as something 'unreal' that is used to build further 'constructs' that are fundamentally unjust, inhuman, and tyrannical.
Of course, it isn't that simple or black-and-white. There are literally dozens of leftist sociological perspectives on family, many of which acknowledge the existence of the material, psychological, cultural, and social benefits a family provides its members. At their most basic levels, however, leftist theories concerning family are inherently faulty or wrong because they neglect or refuse to recognize the metaphysical realities underpinning human families. By defining human families as social constructs, leftists basically deny the fundamental nature of reality; a reality that necessarily includes the spiritual, which the Left, of course, callously dismisses as fantasy.
Here's the thing though - not all on the Left dismiss the spiritual as fantasy. Some not only understand, but also wholeheartedly acknowledge the fundamental nature of Reality with all of its spiritual aspects intact, but do not support or accept this Reality.
On the contrary, this minority within the Left actively repulses and rejects Reality. Put another way, some on the Left know full well that we all exist in Divine Creation, but they are hostile to it. As a result, they actively work to pervert, corrupt, and ultimately undermine Divine Creation.
While the majority of the foot soldiers on the Left believe they are working exclusively in the material, their commanders quietly work away at the immaterial. While the foot soldiers labor at liberating people from all social constructs and forms of material oppression, the commanders work to ensure any and all new liberties the foot soldiers secure will ultimately lead people away from the Divine toward self-damnation.
Unlike the majority they control, this minority within the Left does not regard family as a 'scary construction' because the family oppresses family members, or supports social mechanisms of oppression, or hinders women's rights, or maintains exploitative capitalism, or sows the seeds for fascism, or guarantees material inequality, or cultivates nationalism, or any other of the endless list of injustices the foot soldiers associate with family.
What scares the minority within the Left about family, about the Christian family in particular, is this - the family not only exists in objective reality, but it also represents the very essence of Reality itself - the ultimate Reality of Divine Creation and the Love that nurtures and binds it all together.
The objective reality of family is the Reality of human interactions: relationships, kinship, unions, responsibilities, and bonds. Simply put, the human family provides people the opportunity to experience the true nature of Divine Love, which comes down to relatedness and interaction, the ultimate expression of which is the participation in Creation in this world through the having and nurturing of children. In this sense, human family, and the Christian family in particular, is the most 'natural', most real thing in this world because it provides the opportunity to experience objective Reality intensely and personally.
Our family experiences of Love on earth not only provide us the opportunity to understand the nature and essence of Divine Love, but also allow us to participate in Divine Love as it moves within the frameworks of our own specific family situations. The stronger the flow of Love becomes, the more the family is drawn to the Divine. As such, it erects a defensive barrier against the unreality the Left promulgates thereby decreasing the chances of self-damnation and increasing the chances of salvation and, possibly, theosis.
Bearing all this in mind, it becomes rather clear why those who seek our damnation regard the family to be such a 'scary construction.'

What It All Boils Down To In The End
The other day, a Hungarian politician named Péter Niedermüller - the current mayor of Budapest District VII and former Member of European Parliament with the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats from 2014 to 2019 - professed the following when asked about the current Hungarian government's initiatives to support families and stem demographic decline:
“[…] if we look at what remains if you strip away these hated delineations that we have listed: non-Hungarians, others, migrants, Roma, I don’t know what, then there is this frightening formation left in the middle: white, Christian, heterosexual men – and there are of course (some) women among them. That’s the family concept. And this is terrible, because if we look at what comprises so-called white nationalists all over the world, well, that's it. And I tell you this quietly.”
Unfortunately, such declarations have become par for the course in most of the West. They are such a common and ubiquitous part of what constitutes 'discourse' in Western countries that they barely raise any eyebrows at all. The few eyebrows these sorts of statements do manage to raise in the West are swiftly attacked with the usual accusations of racism, right-wingery, white supremacism, and so forth. More often than not, the raised eyebrows submit to the accusations by meekly settling back onto their respective superciliary arches.
Contrary to the West, Niedermüller's statement raised a lot of eyebrows here in Hungary. Surprisingly, these raised eyebrows have essentially ostracized Niedermüller and have decided to organize an official protest against him. Many others have begun demanding his resignation.
If this little episode illustrates anything superficially, it is this - Hungary, and several other Central and Eastern European nations are not as far gone as the West - at least not yet.
But what struck me most about Niedermüller's remark was the utter clarity of the message it contained. This seemingly flippant, offhand little statement contains everything you need to know about the true nature of the conflict being waged in the West. Niedermüller's utterance is, in essence, what it all boils down to in the end.
And what it all boils down to is spirit and souls.
I imagine some will be unable to discern any spiritual implications from Niedermüller's words, but those grounded in Reality will certainly recognize the invisible demonic fingerprints marking each expressed thought.

Thirty-Five Degress
Not quite rain yet not quite snow
it drips from naked branches like the

The slumbering soil’s sense is heightened,
soaked and silent in the weeks
before the voice beneath it speaks.

Traditional Holy Trinity Squares in Hungary
Kőszeg A traditional feature of most larger towns and cities in Hungary is a centrally located pedestrian square containing a church or cathedral and a Holy Trinity column. The churches tend be breathtaking all on their own, but the beautiful details contained within the Holy Trinity columns are often far more accessible and easier to register.Placed in close proximity to each other within squares nestled in the heart of a town or city, the columns and churches create an ambiance and serenity that is uniquely Central European in character. And despite the similarities, every Holy Trinity Square has its own unique features and, fittingly enough, its own atmosphere and charm. How these beautiful, uplifting, and holy places managed to survive nearly fifty years of communism is beyond me - but thank God they did.

It Should Be That Easy
This brief post pertains to a post I wrote about the planned Open Society University Network George Soros announced at Davos last week.
The funny thing about Soros is he almost always spells out his intentions exactly. Though his messages are often marinated in lies, half truths, trendy socio-political adjectives, and benevolent sounding noun phrases, the underlying intentions he expresses within these appealing word salads are fairly straightforward. But it seems most people fail to grasp the obvious.
Zoltán Kovács, a spokesperson for the Hungarian government, made an interesting observation about this on his official blog yesterday. Kovács writes:
"As we’ve said before, the international media and advocates of globalism enjoy referring to Mr. Soros as a “philanthropist” engaged in “charitable giving.” But all you really have to do is listen to Soros himself. He’s pretty clear about his determination to push his open society agenda."
It should be that easy, but it doesn't seem like too many people are all that interested in really listening to what Soros actually says. This turns something that should be easy into something that inevitably becomes very difficult.

The Symptoms and The Disease
Everywhere I look I see people discussing symptoms. People are adept at recognizing and addressing symptoms. Blogs, books, articles, lectures, and conversations brim with symptom analysis, but this endless analytical percolation of information yields very little in the way of proper diagnosis. Simply put - people see the symptoms, but are blind to the disease.
Part of this stems from a common misinterpretation of symptoms. More often than not, symptoms are not recognized as signs of any underlying illness or problem, but are instead erroneously regarded as illnesses or problems themselves. The enormity of this oversight cannot be overstated. It is not a case of a simple misdiagnosis, but the utter absence of any diagnosis at all - akin to recognizing sudden weight loss without recognizing the cancer that caused the sudden weight loss.
This obliviousness inevitably leads to the prescribing of ineffective cures. Thus, increased calorie consumption would be the logically prescribed cure for the disease of sudden and unexpected weight loss. This cure might alleviate the symptoms for a short time, but it will do absolutely nothing to hinder the progression of the real disease hiding in plain sight underneath it all. In fact, the prescribed cure might actually only make the disease worse.
And this is what I find myself encountering, day in and day out when I visit blogs, or pick up books, or listen to lectures, or follow conversations. Symptoms, symptoms, symptoms. Cures, cures, cures. And all the while, the real disease grows ever more malignant and continues to spread.
It has reached the point where I have become convinced that the disease can no longer be treated collectively in this time and place. Not because the disease has reached the point of reversibility at the collective level, but rather that the existence of the disease itself is willfully unacknowledged at the collective level. Put another way, at the social/civilization level, we are in complete denial.
Nevertheless, I believe there is still hope at the individual/small group level, which, for the time being, appear to be the only levels where it seems possible to regard symptoms for what they truly are - as signs of an underlying disease.
It should go without saying what that the disease in question is not physical/material in nature; and once the proper diagnosis has been made, it's not too difficult to figure out the proper (and only) cure.

A Global Network of Indoctrination Centers
Through their dishonesty, incompetence, nugatory programs, and lowered standards, nearly all universities in the West have become or are becoming what I personally refer to as citadels of darkness.* Nevertheless, the pursuit of a university education is still highly regarded and highly valued in the West. Of course, the education most universities offer currently barely rises above indoctrination.
This holds particularly true for any post-secondary institution affiliated with philanthropist extraordinaire, George Soros - a man so committed to ensuring young people receive the "right" kind of education that he recently announced he would be investing one billion (yes, billion with a 'B') into "a new global network of universities designed to promote liberal values and his vision of an open society." Soros hopes his investment will "stop the drift toward authoritarianism" around the world."
Last year, Hungary forced George's Central European University - which Soros set up in Budapest and which had served as the flagship for the esteemed philanthropist's open society vision - out of Budapest.
That must have been a real 'ouchy' moment for Soros because he recently acknowledged that "the CEU had not been strong enough by itself to become the educational institution the world requires."
The solution? Establish an Open Society University Network (OSUN) which, according to Soros, will be “a new and innovative educational network that the world really needs.”
Yes, that's exactly what the world needs. Do tell me more, please.
“OSUN will be unique. It will offer an international platform for teaching and research. In the first phase it will connect closer together an existing network. In the second phase, we shall open up this network to other institutions who want to join and are eager and qualified to do so.
“To demonstrate our commitment to OSUN, we are contributing one billion dollars to it. But we can’t build a global network on our own; we will need partner institutions and supporters from all around the world to join us in this enterprise.”
Well, at least he admitted that a current network exists. As for the network he envisions, imagine a giant spiderweb of citadels of darkness spanning the globe churning out vitriolic Greta Thunberg-like activists, agitators, lawmakers, professors, and journalists all fanatically dedicated to Schwartz György's mission of building "vibrant and inclusive democracies whose governments are accountable to their citizens."
Man, I love the smell of demonically-inspired totalitarian utopia in the morning.

Forever and a Day - A Moving Reflection By SK Orr
SK Orr has written a short, but incredibly moving reflection over at his Steeple Tea blog. The post is poignant, but beautiful - and like everything SK puts on his blog, beautifully written as well.
We met today after not seeing each other for almost a year. She was subdued and hesitant, and I waited for a pause in the conversation so I could ask her about what I was perceiving.
She told me of her brother, just a few years older than her, and how he’s been caring for his wife for the past few years after she had a series of massive strokes. Her sole caregiver, he has dedicated all of his energies to taking care of the lady he’d once courted, married, fathered children with, and built a home for.
But just a few weeks ago, he showed up at her door, wanting and needing to talk. Over coffee, the story came out. Cancer, a bad one. Advanced and probably inoperable, at least in a way that might matter. They cried together and asked all the questions that we ask when our true solitude in this quiet air becomes clear.
When we met today, she had just come from her brother’s house. He is too weak to do much for his wife, and so they lie in their bed next to each other, him talking quietly to her and comforting her, and her offering her soft maternal hand to the only man who has ever touched her.
