Sophia
Paranormal things and paranormal research always intrigued me. ESP and its three branches, telepathy, clairvoyance and precognition as well as PK. Psychokenesis. I conducted research on telepathy and clairvoyance and physiologic parameters at the F.R.N.M. within the bounds of Duke university years ago while on my masters and under the mentorship of Dr. J.B. Rhine. Interesting stuff. Saw and experimented with these mental experiences beyond our scientific awareness. It was no wonder to me that the military had such an interest in that work. Unexplained and real. And, the few people who could deliver? Well, they were different and yet had their own set of paths to walk.
Being interested in techno things, I left the field to pursue IT but came back to writing about what I had learned on my quest along the way. Faith, hope, love and friendship became the essential components to my own "research" for understanding the human spirit and those aspects of our being we don't understand and for which science can't reduce into measureable and scaleable quantities. With out a significant repeatable experiment, parapsychology remains in the world of things that go bump in the night. That's too bad.
Yet, people still have those spontaneous experiences all over the world; from every culture and ethnicity on Earth. Does this information aid us or provide information in great times of need ro crisis? History and experiences suggest so. Perhaps the quantifiable aspects of our mind, those dark crevices in us all, lays in the preternatural realm? Dormant for us to use like our ancestors millions of years ago to call up to warn us to avoid being prey from some hungry beast?
Some people do it regualarly in their lives. Instincts we say. He/she has good instincts. Women's intuition we concede. But it's there in us all waiting for us to tap it. Did verbalization change all that? We learned to speak much better and lose those instincts which guided us before.
There's more of course, and, I could go on and on and on. That's why Sophia is fairly real. Her psychic ability isn't because of being some super natural being. She's human like you and me. She just relies on her psychic gifts more. And in that process perfects these abilities so that they float to her conscious reality more easily then for us.
But can we learn that or re-visit that realm again? Perhaps.
