The High Sign

The 1st short film produced and directed by Keaton, though shelved and released a year after production, is among his finest work with sight gags galore and some of the finest production design and stunt work from the silent era.

The story finds the would be hero randomly working for a mob gang that wants him to kill a man that he has just been hired to protect.  Crazy antics ensue with an elaborate setup with trap doors and false passages in the waned mans hou...

Out West

The 7th collaboration between Buster Keaton and Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle is an action packed, hilarious little film that is unfortunately marred by a random sequence that depicts the racism of the time period.

Fatty travels out west via train and finds himself in a rough and tumble little town where he is able to procure work as a bartender at a saloon that is later targeted by an outlaw that will stop at nothing to gain the affection of a female patron.

Coney Island

The 5th collaboration between Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle and Buster Keaton is a fun adventure full of great slapstick moments featuring some great nostalgic attractions from Coney Island's Luna Park from back in the day.

The story finds Fatty ditching his wife for the day at the beach in order to go and have some fun over at Luna Park.  Once in the park fatty fights for the affection of an attractive young lady with two other suitors thrown into the mix.

His Wedding Night

The 3rd collaboration between Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle and Buster Keaton is a fairly standard silent short that features a few laughs here and there but is ultimately just run of the mill for the time period.

The story features Fatty working as a soda jerk and gas station attendant at a local fountain shop.  As per usual hijinks ensue when Fatty's rival mistakenly kidnaps the wrong person while attempting to steal away Fatty's fiance.

    There are a fe...

The Rough House

The 2nd collaboration between Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle and Buster Keaton is a terrific comedic short filled with great physical comedy and laughs galore.

The story features Fatty and his family running a seaside resort where the guests are "treated" or rather mistreated to some hilariously poor amenities before a destructive fire eventually breaks out during all the hijinks.

This one features some great physical comedy, some hilarious sequences of hospit...

Neighbors

This short film is a masterpiece of physical comedy that showcases Keaton's circus and vaudeville background with some absolutely amazing stunts and acrobatic comedy that is sure to leave anyone with a smile on their face.

The Scarecrow

This brilliant short film is so fast paced and well made that it seems as though it is over before you know it.

The story is centred on a rivalry between two men vying for a farmer's daughter and gets its title from a sequence in which Keaton poses as a Scarecrow to evade a pursuer.

This short film is so full of astounding set designs, creative ideas and of course the brilliant physical comedy of Buster Keaton, that you can't help but want to watch...

The Paleface

This short film about a hapless lepidopterist (out catching butterflies) that stumbles into the middle of a land dispute between a native American tribe and the Great Western Oil Company is a well crafted gem of comedic genius.

After a case of mistaken identity in which Keaton is chased and nearly burned at the stake by a tribe of Native Americans, successfully abated by the fabrication of an asbestos suit procured during the chase sequence no-less, he is initiated...
