Giants Win World Series!
There are a great deal of wonderful books about baseball but I'm wondering if there are any with a gay protagonist. If you know of any, kindly drop me a line.

The Greensky Trilogy
Does anyone know of a compilation/single volume version containing all 3 of the Greensky books by Zilpha Keatley Snyder? The books are:
Below the Root (1975)
And All Between (1976)
Until the Celebration (1977)
Below the Root (1975)
And All Between (1976)
Until the Celebration (1977)
I desperately want to find these books as I was an addict of the Commodore 64 game Below the Root as a kid (released by Wyndham Classics games).

Wolf's Castle - alternate title?
Years ago I came upon a hardcover book at a booksale in the basement of a church in Granville Ferry. The novel is entitled Wolf's Castle and was written by William Melvin. It's a really good medieval story and I remember enjoying it. I still have the worn tome but can not find it on GoodReads. If you have read this book, or know another title for it, please let me know. Thanks :)

Positive Feedback
It's incredibly rewarding to receive unsolicited positive feedback from people who, of all the books in the world, have read the one I wrote. I recently received two Tweets, from people on opposite ends of the country (Canada) that made my day.
Here is the first "just finished the book! Amazing! I loved it so much I cried. Thank you for writing it :)"
And the second: "are you planning on writing more awesome books like one boys shadow?"
This is more motivation to keep on going. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to share a kind word and/or encouragement. There isn't enough of that in the world.

Hallowe'en
It's October, which means it is the month of Horror... I have read many horror and thriller novels over the years and hope to read many more. I don't like the gore/slasher type but I love the psychological intrigue of Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House and Stephen King's The Shining If you can recommend novels along this vein I would greatly appreciate learning about them :)
All the best and have a safe and happy Hallowe'en (and yes, it should always have the apostrophe - it's one of my literary pet peeves)
Boo!

So, a thorough search has yielded its reward. Kenneth McKenney wrote The Plants and I have now rated it. Phew... moving on now

Plants - Horror Novel
Years ago I read a "horror" type novel that is entitled Plants I have tried searching for it on GoodReads but all I get are Nature/Gardening threads. I must find a way to track down this book so I can rate it (it wasn't all that wonderful but, still, I read it so I must add it to my shelves). Okay Internet... let's find this novel

New Reading Project
Working full time and trying to keep up with the land and the house work, as well as writing my next novel, seems to eat up a lot of "free" time. There always seems to be something that gets in the way of focusing on the things that I want to do, so I am making myself a schedule for reading and writing in the evenings. Here's hoping I can follow it!

Local Book Sellers
One Boy's Shadow is available in my local area because of the amazing support from the book store in Middleton, Nova Scotia called Blue Griffin Books. The novel is also available in Margaretsville, Nova Scotia, at the Post Office branch and I have recently been welcomed into Bainton's Tannery Outlet/Mad Hatter Book Store in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. All of these locations are stocking my book without taking commission, as they support my goal of raising funds for non-profit organizations.
Thanks so much to you all!
