Laura A. Hansen's Blog: Zombies love brains (and brains love zombies!)

Help me give back!

I’m a pretty private person so writing this feels like I’m standing on a diving board, on the highest platform.

I’ve never been up here before.

It’s been a while since I was sixteen and the wrong parts of me jiggle. All of you strangers standing at pool’s edge can see every flaw. I’m blind without my glasses, so I’m not sure if anyone is watching, though.

Maybe that’s a good thing.

The water below is invisible. The diving board wobbles.

I’m exposed, and it’s scary.

I close my eyes and jump . . .

Hi! I'm Laura Hansen. I wrote Cruise of the Undead as a gift for my boys. With both horror and humor, the book offers an engaging romp through the zombie-infested South Pacific. This fast-paced adventure pits fifteen-year-old Charlie and his hip hop younger brother Jack against a zombie crew in a terrifying and hilarious struggle to save a ship’s passengers from an ugly undeath.

Now that this young adult novel has been published, I want to give back to the community. I am donating 10% of my proceeds from Cruise of the Undead to education.

Please help me give something back!
