Μεταφράστρια του βιβλίου "Ό,τι αξίζει δεν κοστίζει: πέρα από την πολιτική, τον πόλεμο & τη φτώχεια" του Jacque Fresco και της δημοσιογραφικής έρευνας "Jesus Mythicism: An Introduction" του Μηνά Παπαγεωργίου. Συμμετείχε επίσης στην ανθολογία "Γοτθικές Ιστορίες από Βικτωριανές Συγγραφείς" των εκδόσεων Ars Nocturna, μεταφράζοντας τέσσερα κλασικά διηγήματα γοτθικού τρόμου.

Η Ράνια Ιωάννου γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Έχει σπουδάσει Αγγλική Φιλολογία στο Α.Π.Θ. Στο ίδιο ίδρυμα ολοκλήρωσε με επιτυχία τις μεταπτυχιακές της σπουδές στη μετάφραση.
