Review from one of my editors:
The main thing that the study helped with was simply stopping and reviewing how I viewed God and my relationship with Him. How I saw Him and dealt with Him changed too as I walked thru you story. It sent me in directions with God over my own, and how He saw and sees me. I'm still sorting thru some of the adjustments now, as I'm still processing pieces of what I read and my reactions to it. God is definitely helping me thru this process of becoming closer to Him and all that entails, especially in worshipping Him wherever I am, with all of myself. Your study definitely makes one think of where one stands with God, how they view themselves, view God, and just how they maintain that relationship. Knowing you're not the only one going thru this is always a good thing, and being able to walk thru a study to help with this relationship, and getting closer to God, is a real help!

Part 2: Tips on looking after your hard-earned digital property. When Files disappear. . .
Sometimes files can get lost or deleted by accident. Then what do you do??!!
If the file was lost and you can't remember what the filename was, do a search for a phrase contained in the file. If you're on a mac, open Finder and use the search box in the top right corner. If you are on a pc, open “My Computer” and in VISTA/win7, type the phrase in the search box in the top right corner. In win7k or winXP, click “search” on the toolbar and choose, “files and folders”, then type your phrase into the field searching within documents. Be sure you are in c:\ and not another folder before doing this search.
Once you have located the file via the search feature, open it and then “save as” to the folder location you want, giving it the filename you intended.
But what if you accidentally deleted the file?! Two scenarios might occur in this situation:
The file is in the trashbin or recycle bin. Go to your desktop, click on the trashbin or recycle bin and look for the name of your file in there. When you find it, restore it and you're good to go again.
Someone came up behind you and emptied the recyclebin/trashbin. Now what? I'm not sure of the mac tools for this, but for the windows-based pc, download the tool known as Recuva. It's free. Run the tool to dig up everything you've ever deleted. Sometimes the names are recognizable, sometimes they aren't. Recover them to a specified folder, then drag your file back to it's original location.
NOTE: If the harddrive space the file was originally in, get's overwritten by anything, even partially, the file may not be recoverable! This only works if the space has not been reused.
To recap: Save as you go, save major revisions as new files with different names, use your computer's search function if you think you've lost your file, check recycle bin if you think it's deleted, and run a data recovery tool if your recycle bin got cleared out before you could check it for your lost file. If you regularly back up your files, even an unrecoverable file can be restored from your daily backup.
Hopefully this information will help you avoid having to recreate your special creation.

Part 1: Tips for Looking after Digital creations from writing to artwork and everything in between. . .
Whether you are a photographer, videographer, writer, graphics artist, or a pencil-pusher with spreadsheets and emails all over the place, the last thing you want to do is lose hours, perhaps even dollars invested in your intellectual property!
As both a computer tech and a creative in various disciplines all using words, let me offer some suggestions to ensure wasted hours and money don't visit you!
Recommendation number ONE: Save your work often! As I taught a group of Rwandan elementary school teachers a few years ago, “Save as you go!” Every few minutes, hit the save button in the program you are using. You never know when the power might go out, when your computer might freeze up forcing you to reboot, or worse, your computer crashing altogether or being zapped by a thunderstorm moving through the area. If you are saving every few minutes and something happens to interrupt your work, you won't have as much to redo.
DO NOT rely on various programs that claim to have a file recovery feature. While Microsoft Word and OpenOffice offer this as a feature, this feature is only as good as how often the auto-save feature is set to operate, or how often you yourself have hit the save button. Don't expect this feature to salvage everything you were working on.
Recommendation number TWO: When you make a major change to a file to allow for a variation on it's original purpose, save the change with a different file name. A picture for example that has words for the days of the week, should have 7 different file names, one for each day of the week. This goes for editing documents as well. Each major revision should have it's own file name, “filename1.doc, filename2.doc, filename3.doc, etc”. In this manner, if a revision gets corrupted for any reason, you can go back to a previous revision and carry on from there.
Recommendation number THREE: Back up your data!!! Create an account for yourself at mozyhome.com ($6.mo/50gb), sugarsync (free unless you want more space) or a similar service. Set up the service to back up your files twice a day. In this way changes you make late at night get backed up in the morning, while changes made during the day get backed up in the evening. If you make an irrecoverable error to a file, you can restore it immediately.

Psalm 46 revisited
This chapter came to me last night via a lady in the midweek prayer group after she heard my fears surrounding possibly being asked to not merely write, but speak as a result of my writing. Those who know me, know that I am comfortable singing, writing, and generally supporting others in ministerial roles. But speaking is a whole other matter! Even when it came time for me to present a prayer of repentance one year, I read it and kept my head down so as to avoid a video camera aimed my direction. Even sharing these fears at prayer last night led to tears.
I didn't get a chance to read this Psalm again till tonight. It speaks of God being my fortress, my refuge and my strength. It describes God being strong on my behalf, quelling wars and shattering kingdoms. This psalm encourages me to be still and know that my God, is indeed God! That it is He who will be exalted above the heathen!
Suddenly a picture entered my head! This scene is most often associated with mythical men of reknown standing atop hills or mounds of earth, surrounded by those they have conquered, lifting a weapon high in the sky as they look off into the distance or up into the clouds with a triumphant look on their face. But instead of some mythical hero standing there, suddenly I saw God! I realized as I reread this psalm, that this is the description of One who is worthy of being hidden within, that this is One who, unlike mythicial heroes, really can offer protection and fight our battles in the here and now!
My God is the victorious One! He is the One I can hide behind, under whose wings I can trust!
Now to remember this if and when my fears stare me in the face again!

PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New Study Offers Immersive Look at Living Every Day Life as the Bride of Christ
“It was then that an unmistakable sensation came over me, as if God were holding me in a 360 degree embrace and saying, "NOW I can love you!" Fresh tears began to flow as I sat there soaking in a love I had never anticipated could ever flow from God to me. . . What followed led to the lessons, discoveries and revelations found in this series!"
Kelowna, BC Canada - August 14, 2012 - "Becoming the Bride of Christ: A Personal Journey" chronicles Marilynn's personal journey as she learns to live with God as unseen Husband and Father in the home. It's about learning to appropriate many Scriptural concepts that have been overly spiritualized, and bringing them down to where life is lived every day.
This book can be read as an account of the lessons God's actively teaching her, or it can be engaged in as a personal or group Bible study. There is quite a bit of Scripture in every chapter, as well as questions to help a person appropriate these lessons into their own life.
One of Marilynn's goals is to share a story that men as well as women can read and glean from. Too often presentations on the Bride of Christ have been geared toward women when Scripture says the Church, who is referred to as the Bride of Christ, is made up of men and women. She writes from a women's perspective, but desires that men will be able to gather helpful insight, not just women. After all, everyone is called to live out the commands of Christ in everyday life.
