PROMISES KEPT By Susan Mac Nicol

So this book will be out late tomorrow UK time. I love release days, they are such fun, and I’m over all the nerves I used to get when I brought out a new book. I’m a huge believer in you do your best to get the word out and then you let it go. If not, you’ll drive yourself crazy

Cover Release – Promises Kept

This is the cover to a novella I’ve written featuring the gay couple from my Starlight series.  Dylan Donahue and Alec Ransom deserved their own cover and their own story. I know this is rather a radical idea, basing an MM Romance novella on a series of MF books, but this will be able to be read as stand alone. There are references to the previous books, and certainly to Bennett and Cassie, the main characters in the previous books. However, they won’t spoil the reading of Promises Kept and I hope that you’ll get to know Dylan and Alec a little better.

This book will be released on 19 November. Buy links will be posted soon.

Of course, if you want to read the three previous books to get a more detailed flavour of the whole series, then please, feel free.

Not So Secret Santa cover reveal – Men of London #10

Are YOU ready for the return of this sassy diva with a huge heart? I’m really excited to show the sweet and ever so seasonal cover for book 10 in the Men of London series. #coverreveal #MenOfLondon #LeslieisBack #sassyrocks

Release date 6th December

Leslie’s feeling the season in a big way. After the Kissmas Drag Stravaganza at Club Delish, he plans to ask Oliver to marry him, but, as with all things Leslie, nothing goes quite as planned.

THE MAIN EVENT

Leslie Scott couldn’t keep a secret if his life depended on it…and this one’s a doozy. After years of blissful co-habbing, Leslie plans to ask the love of his life, Oliver Brown, for his hand in marriage. Leslie agrees to help with the Kissmas Drag Stravaganza at his dear friend’s nightclub, Club Delish, which is also the site of the impending proposal. Every detail is planned with Swiss watch precision: enjoy the show, bring Oliver back to a private room, seduce him then pop the question. But, as with all things Leslie, his scheme goes tits up. Never one to shy away from drama and public displays of affection, this proposal turns out to be one for the books.

Free book when you subscribe to my newsletter

I’ve created my own e-book in pdf format and this is my cover. Something simple and sweet, like the MM YA story it is.

This is the book you’ll get access to when you subscribe to my newsletter. It’s not been in wide circulation so it’s exclusive just for you:) To my existing newsletter subscribers, the download link will be included in my next newsletter, as I don’t think you should miss out because you’ve been with me a while

Cover Thoughts has officially launched!

Cover Thoughts has officially launched!! We’re a dynamic trio – a photographer, an author and a finance-jack-of-all-trades – who decided we were fed up of seeing the same models and stock images re-hashed on romance novel book covers. We use our own models and do custom shoots to provide you with images you can use to create that unique book cover.

We wanted something else too – diversity of images. And no, not just in a gender identity or cultural respect, but also in terms of shape, size and look. The books authors write are unique, with characters who deserve their own identities. Cover Thoughts also supplies images which meet a variety of looks, and not all of them is perfectly airbrushed or toned, or perfect. Because reality isn’t like that.

Thanks so much to our fabulous models, Alex (@alex.deane94 – featured) Dan (@methzee4real) and Rob (@robstevens4047). They made the day a lot of fun and were true professionals to work with. Check them out on their Instgram handles. As for Warren Joseph Allen and Isabelle Currie, the photographers – you guys ROCK!!

You can find out more about us at www.coverthoughts.com.

Forever in Starlight is live :)

The latest and last book in my M/F Starlight series went live today. Hooray!!!! It’s been a long time coming but I feel that it’s the right time to get this last book out there and finish Bennett and Cassie’s story. They’ve been through a lot and they deserve their idyllic ending. You can read more about the whole series here.

The screen pilot I wrote for this series has also been selected by the Oaxaca Film Festival in Mexico to feature in their Global Script Challenge.

My film TV pilot selected at Oaxaca Film Festival !

It’s awesome to see my picture feature among the many talented and more experienced screen play writers.
It’s live on some sites now

Sight Unseen script selected for Oaxaca Film Festival

Nicholas Downs and I can now give you the exciting news that we’ve been keeping quiet for so long.

Our script, “Sight Unseen” is an Official Selection of the Oaxaca Film Festival 2018 in two categories!

Oaxaca Film Festival, a well-respected and well-known festival, has been running now for nine years. Out of the thousands of projects that were submitted this year, less than 5% make the cut, so we are very proud of this accomplishment.

“Sight Unseen” is a FINALIST and will be competing with other projects in the category of ‘Best Fade Out’ i.e. selected scripts with well-defined ending of the story line.

You can see the official selection here – https://www.oaxacafilmfest.com/global...

It will also be competing for the main award of the 2018 Global Script Challenge: Best Overall Script.

We are both over the moon that we got this far, and we look forward to being a part of this incredible festival.

My film TV pilot selected at Oaxaca Film Festival !

I can now give you that exciting news I promised you. In 2013 I wrote a TV Pilot for a BBC One screen writing competition, based on my very first book, Cassandra by Starlight. This was book one in a series I called Starlight. It was inspired by my man crush, Benedict Cumberbatch. The story revolves around an up and coming actor called Bennett Saville, and the love of his life, Cassie Wallace, who is ten years older than him.

The screenplay working title was called Reel Life. I revamped it, based on what I’d learnt writing scripts with Nicholas Down, (with Sight Unseen) and submitted it to the Oaxaca Film Festival, a well-respected and well-known festival out of Mexico. It’s been running now over nine years.

Reel Life got selected for the festival

Cover Release- Forever in Starlight

#coverreveal #Starlight #newrelease #bookslaidbareblog

Some of you may know that I wrote M/F before I branched into M/M. The books were well received but as these were my debut novels, I didn’t enjoy a huge amount of success. I was a newbie and didn’t have the panache back them to understand what I was doing
