mrs-mob-johnlocked:
Welcome to the new age
This is just right...
The Susan Mac Nicol Weekly is out!
Here’s the link to the latest edition of my newspaper riddled with Cumberbatch, theatre, Star Trek, varying random items, books, romance and many another strange thing. Read it - hell, maybe you’re mentioned somewhere….
I’m actually loving my new Paper.li newspaper. It picks up things that I’ve found interesting, looks through my tweets and followers to find things relevant to me - yes, Cumberbatch, Sherlock, Writing, Book, Romance are all in there - puts them together in a great little package and then all I have to do is tell people about it.
It’s a fantastic idea, creative and innovational - dare I say a little like me? And yes, I’m aware that innovational may not be a word in the dictionary - but it should be.
Hiatus.
Sorry, I stopped there for a moment, distracted by a rather wonderful image of a virtually naked man being posted on my Facebook wall. God, my friends do love me after all. Not sure I can share that here, I might get arrested. If you really want to see it, check out my Facebook page and send me a friend request. It’s truly awe inspiring. There’s also a very revealing picture of yet another naked man there too, standing in a shopping car park with a lot of fairly ribald commentary about what he fits in his ‘shopping bags’ and the image of his V of Destiny. It’s a very nice image.
I’m honestly not a pervert, but I can imagine you might think so. Please don’t think too badly of me….*wicked chuckle*

Well, here it is. The cover for my new book, ‘Together in...

Well, here it is. The cover for my new book, ‘Together in Starlight’, the second in my Starlight Trilogy. The story of Cassie Wallace and Bennett Saville (that’s him on the front looking all broody and come hither) continues. There’s more mayhem, excitement, romance, steamy sex and humour as the couple develop their relationship and overcome the trials they face together.
The third and final book, ‘Starlight and Promises’ is already in with my wonderful editor to work her magic. I’ll be really sad when their story ends and I have to move on. But I certainly hope my readers are enjoying their story as much I did when I wrote it.
I’m off to Talliston tonight to borrow my friend John...

I’m off to Talliston tonight to borrow my friend John Trevillian’s very unique study for a writing break. It is one of the most atmospheric places I’ve ever been in. He’s promised me a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door as well as 1930’s jazz music - unfortunately the scantily clad young man I requested to keep me topped up on wine and chocolates was unavailable. Oh well, maybe next time.
If you want to see more pictures about this amazing house, set in Great Dunmow in Essex and home to a unique couple with oodles of passion and creativity, you can find out more here.

My latest author interview
I was recently interviewed by fellow author, Serena Clarke. She’s a wonderful lady living in New Zealand and her debut novel, All Over the Place, is due out on February 18th. Take a look at it when it’s out, it’s a wonderful, sassy story.
Anyhoo, Serena let me rant on about a lot of things and I thought you might like to read the interview here.

Mr. Cumberbatch gets a mention as usual, as no blog post or interview from me goes by without me doing so, and you can also read about all about my latest books and my work in progress.
Enjoy!

Ladies and gentleman, the wonderful team of Saville and Wallace...

Ladies and gentleman, the wonderful team of Saville and Wallace from the first book in my Starlight Series- “Cassandra by Starlight’.
This is Bennett Saville and his beautiful fiancée, Cassie Wallace and they’re very pleased to make your acquaintance..
The wonderful cover for my latest ‘Lunchbox Romance’...

The wonderful cover for my latest ‘Lunchbox Romance’ short story, ‘Confounding Cupid’. Great, yes? I’ll post a update when it’s available to buy.
Stuff I'm busy with...work in my writing pipeline
I thought I’d post a bit of an update here and let you all know exactly what I’m getting up to. For those of you who are interested, read on. For those of you aren’t - sorry about that. On your way then. Don’t clog up the tumblrwaves.
Lunchbox Romance
My new Valentine’s short story will be out soon. It’s called ‘Confounding Cupid’ and it’s a little bit of whimsy. You’ll get to meet blonde, hunky Ryan and sassy, sexy Leigh. It’s short, sweet, hot and very affordable so I expect you all to run out and buy it at www.boroughspublishinggroup.com. The cover is absolutely wonderful, and I’ll post it on the site above this one. Blurb below to tickly your fancy.
When a Cupid is given the task of earning his Wings and satisfying a family tradition, he had no idea it would prove so difficult. Sometimes you have to forget the magick and remember that after all, people are only human.
The Starlight Series
The second book in my Starlight series is also nearly ready. ‘Cassandra by Starlight’ bought you the story of Bennett Saville and Cassandra Wallace and led you into a world of theatre, film, danger and definitely romance. The second book, ‘Together in Starlight’ continues their story and believe me, they have just as much to deal with in this one as they did in the first. I’ll keep you all updated on the proposed publication date.
Filming in Tibet, crazy ex husbands (a couple of those in here) and a haunted London theatre all promise much excitement. Of course, there’s also Bennett’s fanclub, Savillicious, rising to the fore and causing the poor man a little bit of havoc. Not to mention a certain lingerie episode…
Follow them on Twitter @Savillicious. That Mandy Harper chick is a real nightmare I can promise you. Bennett is on Twitter too (sort of) @BennettSaville and on Facebook too. So’s Cassie @CassieWallace77.
I’ve written the third book too, ‘Starlight and Promises’ which takes Cassie and Bennett’s story to a final conclusion and as befits a romance story, a happy ever after ending. I start work on final polishes for that one next week, so it can be submitted to my editor, Jill Limber, for her usual invaluable insights and guidance.
Works in Progress
Saving Alexandria
I’ve already been given the contract by Boroughs for my other completed work, ‘Saving Alexandria’, which is a story of a woman, Alexandria Montgomery, haunted by demons from her past who needs a saviour to help her defeat them. The story involves a black haired, sexy Irishman called Christopher Sage, Sage to his friends, (he’s also an actor, there’s a definite trend here people, I wonder why?), a beautiful, troubled author, lots of S and M activity, romance, sex and yet another psychopath. It’s a thing with me. I’m getting worried, especially when you see what I’m currently trying to finish.
Double Alchemy
I have another two completed novels in the pipeline for publication. This series is about an arrogant, driven and incredibly complex Warlock , Quinn Fairmont, and his strong, tough and warm hearted lover, Kate Masterton. The attraction surges when these two first meet on Hampstead Heath and begin an affair that will bring intrigue, danger and death into their lives. I anticipate the first book in the series hopefully being out by the end of the year or early 2014.
Currently writing
“Born Human’ is the one I’m currently trying to finish. It’s different, not a romance but instead a psychological detective thriller with a handsome Italian policeman called Anthony, a feisty investigative reporter, Elaine and a bisexual serial killer named Blair. Add his gay boyfriend Marshall into the mix and you have a steamy, mind blowing, male on female, male on male sexy romp into the world of a policeman who has very definite views on the punishment fitting the crime and a killer who loves to taunt and tease and is definitely not someone to be trifled with. But then, neither is Anthony. It’s showdown time.
Unfortunately this book is not something my current publisher will take on, for various reasons, so I need to find it a home. But I have some ideas on that unless -Random House, are you listening? You know where to find me. Call me.
And in closing….
You can follow all of my books by pictures on Pinterest here including Born Human which is in its infancy

And of course, check out my website - www.susanmacnicol.com
I’m busy adding the new books covers to it for ‘The Magick of Christmas’ and ‘Confounding Cupid’ as we speak, so bear with me.
Well, I think that’s it for now. Hope you’ve enjoyed visiting and listening to me rambling on. Thanks for the interest.
