WriteWorld: Editing Your Work (Keep Clam and Proofread*):

jrlbennett:

I work with a lot of documents at my job. The documents that I work on have already passed several reviews and have already been edited by professionals — in short, these documents have been looked at closely by a bunch of eyes. I always catch at least one important mistake.

Really good news for writers, review, review and read aloud

This is a wonderful shot. I love it. There’s something about black and white photos that seems so classic and so defined.

My friend Duncan Swallow's blog

I have a buddy who’s a little crazy. He’s very funny, extremely non PC and irreverent to say the least.

But he’s an incredibly good writer, has a black sense of humour, much like my own and he gives me a lot of grief on every one of my social networking sites. He puts up with my incessant posts and articles of Benedict Cumberbatch, naked men, slaverings over Star Trek and the new villain in the film and anything else that takes my rather warped fancy. I’m a woman of many interests, what can I say. It would appear to most that it’s mostly men and sex and erotica. I do like other things. Honestly.

For that alone this man deserves a medal. My poor husband has no choice - Dunk has. He can unfollow and unlike me and never give me another thought. But he chooses to subject himself to the masochistic impulse to be my buddy. Why, I’m still trying to find out myself.

I really liked his last post on ‘How not to get killed by a polar bear’, so I thought I’d share it with you here.

By the way Whiplash is my nickname, the one he’s so kindly given me, and it all stems from a rather risqué conversation about bondage, Masters, the stuff I write about, being a mentor and cracking the whip in so many ways possible….

His nickname is Grasshopper. I’ll leave the reasons behind that to your imagination.

I hope you enjoy his blog.

Photographs of our wonderful London West End theatres.

Photographs of our wonderful London West End theatres.:

Click on the title or here to see the pictures.

I’m sure you’ll have been in a few of them. We have such a rich heritage of old and atmospheric buildings, and a tradition for some of the finest performances in the world. It’s something to be very proud of.

My Starlight series of books are set in the wonderful world of film and theatre. It starts off with book one - Cassandra by Starlight - where Bennett Saville, rising star in the industry, meets feisty Cassie Wallace, ten years older than him and not from his world at all.

Bennett also owns his own theatre with his best friend, Dylan Donahue, in Panton Street, London. The Valedictorian, or the Val as it’s affectionately known, plays a large role in the second book, Together in Starlight. Supernatural events, ghosts, haunted theatres - all come together to give Bennett and his leading lady a rather tough time as they perform on stage.

Who is it that’s causing such chaos you ask? You’ll have to read the book to find out what happens…It’ll be out in a week or so for purchase at www.boroughspublishinggroup.com.

In the meantime, why not buy ‘Cassandra by Starlight’ and meet the couple and their friends. I’m sure you’ll like them. This is definitely not your run of the mill romance.

What with a tragic start, lots of sexual chemistry, psychopathic stalkers, disturbed mothers, loan sharks, vigilantism, ex Marines, gay relationships, a rather graphic rape scene with a difference and of course, a Happy Ever After, join Cassie and Bennett as they try to overcome the obstacles thrown at them to end up HEA.

First half of interview

I’ve been asked to re-post these mp3 files for the radio interview I did with Tracy Cooper from Sunday Live, Southend 105.1 FM. It was a lot of fun and I’m glad to say I managed to get another task ticked off my Bucket List.

Be warned, the interview was very much Benedict Cumberbatch focused, as we discussed him as the inspiration for the leading man, Bennett Saville, in my romance novel, ‘Cassandra by Starlight’.

I hope you enjoy it!

Hmmmm, I know it might not be 100% the same but after all Benedict did inspire the character of the wonderful Bennett Saville in my Starlight series books.
