Matilda's Wish

Matilda's Wish
Hi my lovelies!
I recently changed the cover image on my newsletter. This awesome pic was drawn by the lovely Kat from Kat and Fox Designs and depicts me perfectly. My office is always full of my animals and as you can see there's little Theo under my desk looking hopeful for a treat. My Shih Tzu Baxter is on the pile of books with my rescue puppy Tuppence standing on top of him wanting my attention. My little angel Bindi is always on my shoulder and my little canary - who also earned his angel wings recently, is with me too. Oh, don't forget Izzy our cat lurking behind me, probably thinking of ways she can jump out and scare me hahahah. I now have a handful of chickens but I draw the line at inviting them inside the house. Even though I have seen chicken diapers on the internet for sale. No...don't get me started :).

There has always been an array of animals in my life. Whether they were treasured family pets, or animals that worked the farms, there was never a dull moment. In fact, all of the animals in my new novel Matilda's Wish are real (only the names have been changed to protect their identities). The story of Tilly and how she inherits the farm from her great aunt Matilda evolved over time. My own auntie had a farm full of crazy animals and I knew that one day they would have to make it into a book. From Goatie the crazy goat that danced on the roof of my dad's car, to Cottonball the one legged chicken, I've had the pleasure of knowing each and every one of these gorgeous creatures. I hope for Mother's Day 2021 you will get the chance to grab a copy of Matilda's Wish and when you do I hope that you will love these animals as much as I do. Oh, and I also hope that you will fall in love with Tilly, Noah and Wally. I'll keep you entertained with their antics in the coming months :)
