A November Rede

Hey, SAFE FROM THE DARK is finally out!

Phew. I feel like I've run a marathon with my fingers.

It's been about a week now, but I still haven't managed to go back and re-read it in one sitting - after all the edits, you get to a point where you just can't bear to look at it. That's when you just sit back and wait for reviews.

This month! This month is almost half over (wow), but it's mainly a bridge between Halloween and Christmas, with a turkey in the middle. I decided not to dive into the Bright's Ferry sequel for a few weeks - SAFE FROM THE FIRE will be out in February.

Instead, I'm writing some holiday romance for you! Four short magical tales that follow Santa's daughters and their quest for romance, love, and a one-way ticket to the Naughty List with some seriously hot men.

Keep an eye out for THE KRINGLE GIRLS series, right after Thanksgiving - at least a couple of them will be available as single titles, and there will be an overall collection as well.

Here's to cold nights, hot reads, and plenty of holiday treats!

An October Rede

I think writers like October because it's a naturally inspiration-filled month. We have Halloween, of course, but there's also great potential in the weather turning colder, leaves changing color, and large populations changing out their shorts and sandals for sweaters and warm jackets. It's also the season for school supplies, and if you're anything like me, you're hardwired to get down to work when the weather starts getting a little nippy.

WHAT'S NEW???

PASSION & PUMPKINS and MY FAIR HEX are up and available on Amazon for your witchy Halloween enjoyment. I'm hoping to have the other two stories in the BEWTICH ME collection completed by the 15th, but the priority is finishing the edits on SAFE FROM THE DARK, which will be available Nov. 2nd. I can sacrifice some Halloween sexiness for stronger romantic suspense. And to be perfectly honest, I'm far more nervous about my first full-length novel than I am about the shorts...LOL...it's going to be an interesting month, and I hope you'll all stick around for the ride!

WHAT'S NEXT???

SFD is my new baby, and after all the initial promo, I'll dive into some fun little holiday shorts and start outlining SFD's sequel, SAFE FROM THE FIRE, which won't be out until late next winter. I've got some terrific characters churning around - maybe they'll settle down long enough for me to take some notes!

Meanwhile, have a cup of cider, go crazy with the candy corn, and dig out those pumpkin carving tools!

A September Rede

I will be the first to admit that I am NOT a blogger. It's much more interesting to clack away making trouble for my characters than it is to write about myself, so this space is mainly going to be used for monthly notes and release updates.

(If I tell the world it's COMING SOON, there's a greater chance I'll hit my deadline...LOL...)

Here's what I'm up to this month!

HOT & SWEET - BEGINNINGS finally went up, and I heaved a huge sigh of relief. Since I started self-publishing this summer, I've felt this enormous pressure to get a body of work up there (HOT FOR JOE looked so lonely all by itself - I had to give it some friends). Now that the collection is up along with the single titles, I can breathe a little easier and turn my attention to other projects.

WHAT'S NEXT?

I'm in the middle of SAFE FROM THE DARK, my debut contemporary romantic suspense novel, which features two VERY stubborn characters who refuse to back down. At some point, one of them (or both of them) will have to give, and oh readers, the sparks!!! Look for that late next month.

ALSO:

Halloween is coming! A month away, but so excited! Possibly my favorite holiday. Two single title short contemporary paranormal reads COMING SOON and a four-story collection entitled BEWITCH ME.

A full plate, but I'm thrilled with the response so far from a fun, engaging, and thoughtful reading community. I can't wait to bring you the next one!
