I absolutely loved the Hiring the Player by Allie K. Adams. This story is about a girl who's BFF's decide that she needs a little excitement in her life before she graduates and goes into a mundane life so they have Jake the sexy playboy neighbor grant three of their wishes for Kayla without her knowing about them. I also loved Assigned Guilt by Morgan Kearns. If your looking for a fun fast read about girls being girls and love finding a way then this is a must read.

A Home For Christmas #Review

Single mom, Jenna Blackwell wasn't having a very good start to the Christmas season; her purse got stolen on Black Friday. She's cursing her luck and herself for even being out in the Black Friday madness when the store manager brings in Riley Stanton, a former Navy SEAL who chased down the thieves and recovered her purse. Jenna is blown away by Riley: his looks, his smile, the fact that he ran down the purse snatchers, everything.
Riley Stanton had no idea when he chased down the kids who stole a few purses that he would walk into a room and have his life changed forever. He looked into Jenna's eyes and saw a strength in her that he found intriguing.
Riley soon learns that Jenna is everything he ever wanted in a woman. He falls for her and for her son harder than he expected to. Jenna is cautious but welcoming and hopes that she and her son can give Riley the one thing he hasn't had in years, A Home for Christmas.

Who knew that having your purse stolen could turn out to be so wonderful. Riley Stanton and Jenna Blackwell meet on Black Friday after he recovers her purse and over the next few weeks they spend it together in a whirlwind romance that will have you loving both these characters and hoping that they can make it work. This book is part of a series and can be read as a stand alone, this is the first book of Ms. Vaughn's that I have ever read and I must say I could not put this book down and when I did my mind would drift back to it wanting to just pick it back up and keep reading. I really liked how Ms. Vaughn did the epilogue I haven't seen one go that far into the future of the couple before and I must say I really liked that she did it that way because it lets you see what has happened with the couple. I can't wait to read the other books in the series and am really looking forward to reading Mike and Lainey's story. I am so glad I stumbled upon Ms. Vaughn's book and look forward to picking up many more great reads from her! <3

Her Dragon's Fire Cover Reveal @JuliaMills623

Her brilliant blues eyes and luscious curves have haunted his every thought for over six years. The guilt of his younger brother’s death a weight around his heart, keeping him from claiming the one the Universe has made for him and him alone. Aidan, a fierce Dragon Guardsman, now knows that nothing was as he thought and the woman he believed was unattainable is within his grasp, if only he can keep her safe from those that would use her to hurt him.
Grace is a successful lawyer, seeking justice for those that would otherwise be forgotten. Her incredible strength and intelligence makes her a champion for the downtrodden. When she stumbles into a case that is so much more than she ever imagined, her very life hangs in the balance and the man whose scent sends her heart racing and her temperature rising is the only one that can keep her safe. When she comes face to face with him her life is irrevocably changed.
There are no coincidences. Aidan will do everything in his power, including giving his very life, to keep his mate safe. The Universe does not make mistakes. Grace and Aidan are meant to be together in this life and the next but the forces both natural and magical that are sworn to keep them apart have been a step ahead of Aidan and the Dragon Guard all along. Can these fated mates defy all odds and live the life that is their destiny? Fate will not be denied.

I am a sarcastic, sometimes foul-mouthed, not afraid to drink a beer, always southern woman with 2 of the most amazing teenage daughters, a menagerie of animals and a voracious appetite for reading who recently decided to write the stories running through her brain. I read my first book, Dr Suess' Cat in The Hat by myself at 4 and was hooked.
I believe a good book along with shoes, makeup and purses will never let a girl down and that all heroes of all the books
I have ever read or will ever write pale in comparison to my daddy! I am a sucker for a happy ending and love some hot sweaty sex with a healthy dose of romance.
I am still working on my story but believe it will contain all of the above with as much SPICE as I can work into it. CHEERS!

 EXCERPT

A deep vibration rose from his chest. Logan backed me up and the next thing I knew, I was lying on the hood of Justus’s sleek Porsche. What was once a vast collection of exquisite cars was now a collection of three, aside from the Ducati, which he rarely drove.

Logan’s ravenous tongue found a sensitive spot on my neck that made me crave his skin against mine. I slipped my hands beneath his shirt, scratching at his strong back. I loved the way his body felt. The taut muscles along his abs, the baby-fine hair on his arms and legs, the masculine cut of his jaw, and especially right now, the thick press between my legs. The hood of the car dented from our weight and Logan’s heated breath stirred a voice within me that wanted to say “to hell with it” and have sex right on top of my Ghuardian’s one-hundred-thousand-dollar Porsche.

“Wait, Logan. We’re going to mess up his car.”

When his tongue entered my mouth, the complaint was forgotten.

Until the garage door lifted up.

Review - 5 STARS

I've been struggling with getting into just about anything I pick up. It's the reader's version of writer's block. Then Shine came out. Did I buy it as soon as I heard? Absolutely. Did I read it right away? Surprisingly, no. Because of my Reader's Writer's Block, I was terrified I'd start it and just not be into it. Guess what? It's the last book of the Mageri series! OF COURSE I WAS INTO IT! I can still remember when I came across this series by happenstance, and was sold by the cover art. Since the end of Sterling, Dannika Dark easily found a slot in my top 5 favorite authors, and by the end of Twist, she solidified slot one. I have a paperback edition of Seven Years from her newest series, and I'll be sinking my teeth in as soon as possible.

Dannika Dark poured her heart into the end of this series. I could tell with every turned page that she mourned for her little family as much as her fans did. There were moments in Shine that I thought may have been a slight miss, but then I sat back and examined the whole picture, and realized there is nothing different I could think of that would improve the scene. Dannika also perfected the closing of this story. I've seen authors struggle with ending a series without leaving too many loose ends. There were things that were unfinished, but they were unfinished because life goes on.

A big thank-you to Ms. Dark for a fabulous journey with this series. IF YOU HAVE NOT READ IT YET, YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE MISSING! Go grab a copy and enjoy Silver's story with the rest of us Magerites (or whatever we are).

About the Author

This is the segment where you learn a little more about who I am, so here's what I can tell you:  I drink copious amounts of vitamin water placed precariously close to my laptop while writing. These are two healthy habits I have no intention of breaking. I'm a transplant living in the south, but I was born in the 70's to a military dad who moved us around the world.
When I'm not writing (which is all the time), I'm hunting down Indie music, watching movies, reading, eating Tex-Mex, discovering new ways to humiliate myself bowling, and burning up my laptop battery on the Internet. I have a relaxed, easy-going personality and don't like drama. I live with a cat who thinks she is a dog, or a goat (she eats plastic, so I'm not sure which).
Throughout my life, I've had insomnia. Counting sheep never worked and eventually I would imagine those sheep were the sole source of food after an apocalyptic battle where only thousands survived. I made up stories in a futile attempt to bore myself to sleep. The problem was, I got so wrapped up in my "head stories" that I would continue them through the following nights, changing it up each time to make it more exciting. Eventually, I started writing my ideas down - creating short stories, and then I discovered my love for poetry.
It's almost embarrassing how many spiral notebooks and stacks of paper I have of poetry and lyrics.
Another passion: digital art. I design all my book covers, marketing, and series art. I'm a very visual person and pursued photography as an avid hobby for many years.
I am not a YA author (I feel like I have to state this only because I've had a few people ask), but I think it's wonderful there are so many books available to teens in Urban Fantasy and Paranormal.
I am finally doing what I have always wanted to do: giving my characters a pulse through writing full time. I focus on adult urban fantasy romance, but I don't like labels and I enjoy blending genres to break out of the confines of predictability.
But it's what I love to do.

Lunangelique Series Blog Tour @KristinRCampbel

Title: Lunangelique SeriesAuthor: Kristin R. Campbell Genre: YA ParanormalTour Host: Lady Amber's Tours

For Alexis and Alex life has been great. They have loving parents, great friends and live a life every teenager dreams. However, they are adopted and Alexis struggles with wanting to know who their real parents are and not wanting to hurt her adopted parents. Then, a stunning guy moves across the street from them. One who has a secret past and seems to know things about Alexis. One who does mysterious things and leads her to other mysterious persons. One who pushes her to discover her extraordinary birth family and the truth between mythology and religion.

Alexis must pick up the broken pieces of her heart and pull herself together because she has a mission: To awaken the sleeping gods. When she is at the point of giving up, wearing her pretend smiles and feels like there is nothing left of herself, her friend becomes her savior. Patryck helps put Alexis back together again and in return Alexis sees him as something more than a friend…

Together with her brother, Alex, her father, Edmund, and a team of angels they make their way to Mount Latmos, to awaken the gods. But obstacles are in their way, one of them being Cole, the traitor, the one who shattered Alexis’ heart.

New friends and family she never thought she would meet will come to aid Alexis.

…And a love will blossom that will redefine the saying, “Love you forever.”

Lexi has fulfilled her destiny and now the gods have awakened, but is that a good thing?
Now, Lexi lives in a world that is on a global collapse. The gods are angry that they have been forsaken and are seeking revenge on humanity. The oceans are in turmoil, tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcano eruptions and famine are causing global chaos, and the sun is being held hostage in an astrological phenomenal, never-ending solar eclipse by the avenging Helios.
Then, there is the problem of Zeus’ threat. Lexi must choose between giving herself to him or watching the “abominable” angels die by his hand. Not to mention, Hera, Zeus’ wife, is proposing her own jealous-driven proposition to Lexi: stay away from her husband or the angels and everyone dear to her will die. Lexi sees no way out of either predicaments and it puts a strain on her relationship with Cole. Will she lose him either way?

He laughs at me like I have said the funniest joke in the world. I keep my face neutral, not wanting to show any emotions while he finally collects himself. “You are amusing. Aren’t you afraid? Why do you not fear me? Do you know what I have done to Kakabel? What I intend to do to you?”

I shrug my shoulders, wanting to appear as calm as possible. “I won’t be scared if I tell myself there is nothing to fear. You cannot hurt me because I will tell myself not to feel pain. I don’t know what you did to my art professor so I won’t know what you will do to me.” I play him with words because I know he won’t understand.
“Where are your wings?” he demands, angry now because I’m not giving anything away.
“What this?” I nod my chin to the necklace around my neck. He comes forward and yanks it off my neck. “Hey, I like that,” I whine like a spoiled child.
“Malachi,” he calls towards the other room. In a few seconds, Malachi is by his side. He takes Cole’s wings that Cerviel hands him and studies it before laughing. “I thought you would like that.” Malachi throws it on the floor and stomps on it. “Go back to Samson,” Cerviel orders him. Malachi is gone in the blink of an eye, leaving me alone with Cerviel again.
“That’s my necklace.” I pout. “There’s no reason to treat it that way.”
“It will hurt your lover,” he informs me with a malicious smile. “If you will not cooperate, then we will torture him.”
“How?” I challenge him.
“His wings,” he indicates to the necklace lying on the floor, “contains a link to him. They’re still connected even though they’re not attached. If you hurt one, then you hurt the other.”
“You’re insane.” I act like his notions are ridiculous.
“Want to test it out?” he picks it up and places his hands on either end like he’s about to twist it or break it in two.
“No!” I scream, terrified that what he says is true.
Games up. I lost this match. Sugar snaps!
“What are you?” he asks again patiently. He takes a chair and places it in front of me. Then, he sits down, folding his legs and hands as they rest on his leg. He’s acting like this is a normal conversation over tea with a friend.
“Can I have some water, please?” I’m trying to buy some time to get away.
“After you answer my questions,” he answers.
“Are you going to let me go after I do?”
“It depends on if I like your answers.” He smiles sweetly at me. “What are you?”
“A girl who is starting to get pissed off that you keep asking me that, like I’m a freaking alien or something!” I scream it at him. I close my eyes and take a deep breath to calm down when I feel a slap across my face. My eyes dart open and I glare at him angrily. I taste blood on the side of my mouth. He stares at the wound and I see a light bulb go off in his eyes. He grins wickedly at me and then produces a switch blade from his pocket.
“Let’s see how much of a pissed off girl you really can be,” he mocks me and then plunges the knife into my hand, impaling it into the arm of the chair I was gripping. My eyes bulge open in shock and horror and I want to scream, but I tell my nerves not to feel anything and my hand goes dead of feeling. I’m so glad right now that I’m a freak.
He watches my expression change with amusement and then looks lethal again when I don’t scream out. I drum the fingers of my other hand on the arm of the chair. Acting like I’m bored with this act.
“Where are your wings?” Cerviel demands of me.
“I don’t have any wings you freakin’ lunatic. I’m just a girl.” I start laughing because my hand not responding to being impaled is a pretty sure sign that I am not human. I feel psychotic in the moment. I think shock is setting in and I cannot control it. I just continue to laugh at him.
His face breaks out in uncontrolled angry grimace and then he pulls the knife out of my hand and plunges it into my chest. I feel it tear through the arteries of my heart. I’m so shocked he did it that I stop breathing, which ends my laughter.
“Go and find her brother,” I hear him bark at someone before I black out again.

With tears and a tight hug, Rylee Everley’s dad left for Afghanistan with the Army Reserve. Since his deployment, her mom has been distant, her sisters are constantly fighting, and Rylee, at only thirteen years old, has to be the glue to keep them together. While her mother stays locked in her room, Rylee has been forced into the role of parent.

In spite of not knowing how their father is, her mother is happy and her sisters don’t seem to fight as much as they used to. Rylee herself is seeing more of her friends and is even trying to sort out her own feelings about Brock Parker. However, something dark threatens to disrupt that normality for personal gain, and that darkness is willing to break every rule to get what it wants.

Getting up, I walk over to the tree line. I don’t see anything around, so I grab a rock and throw it to scare off any animals. Walking in further, I call out, “Hello?” Everything is quiet. I wait a few more seconds. Something feels off. Walking in a little further, I hear a branch break. I know I didn’t step on anything, so something’s unquestionably out there. “Who’s out here?” I yell. A big oak tree stands directly in front of me, right next to him. “No, no, no, no,” I beg.

S.M. Knowles was born in Elmira, New York where she was swept away in a whirlwind to the Land of Oz—Independence, Kansas. Her parents were relocating for working opportunities and decided that this would be the perfect place to start new roots. Little did she know that this place would contribute to the inspiration for the first book she wrote in her Rylee Everley Series.
While growing up, S.M. would travel the roads around her house while imagining she was somewhere else. Her imagination would take her everywhere, making the long hot summer days seem shorter throughout her fantasies.
At the age of twelve, she decided to write her first book. Filled mostly with dialog, she filled up one-hundred pages, front and back. After taking the book downstairs to show her mom, and persuading her to buy her more paper, she excitedly ran back to her room. As she barreled through the door, S.M. tripped over items left on her floor, and her papers came raining down in her room. Discouraged, she stood there in tears, picking up her papers and throwing them in the trash. Her work had no organization, no numbers on her pages, just a child fulfilling a joy that she would put down and not pick up again.
When she became older, she joined the military for something different. In that time, she was able to explore many places and even met her husband in Iraq. After coming home, she started her family in Arizona and went back to school, earning a Master’s degree in Adult Education and Training.

Crossroads Promo @Paigematthews_3

Everyone finds themselves at a crossroads in their life.
Caleb Cross is not your typical front man. His is not the bad boy, partying, love ‘em and leave ‘em persona, although his public image states otherwise. Being the lead singer of the popular rock band, Double Cross, there are a lot of things the fans and the public do not know about Caleb. Sure, he likes to have a little fun now and again, but after a publicity stunt goes wrong, he is determined to shed the ultra-bad boy image.
Katherine "Kat" Summers is not a typical woman. Not a girl who gets star struck or easily impressed, Kat is content with being herself and who she is. She enjoys living in the moment, in both her personal and professional life. Her greatest moment – bedding rock star Caleb Cross, a secret she holds onto to this day.
When Kat's company is hired by Caleb Cross to rebrand him, she finds herself re-evaluating everything she knows about herself and about her life. Trying to maintain who she is against what she begins to desire, proves to be difficult for her, especially when she sees Caleb as he truly is.
For Caleb, hiring a new publicist to help reshape his image was the easy part. What he didn’t count on was being reunited with the one girl that never wanted him for more than a night. He is forced to confront himself, and Kat, in order to learn what he truly wants, and who he truly is.

I grabbed my sunglasses from my dresser on the way back to the living room. Kat was sitting on the couch facing the television, head to her thighs. I watched her breath for a few moments, watched her back rise and fall. She was gorgeous, even if she didn’t realize it herself. I felt my chest tighten and my breath catch, as I watched her. I shook off the feelings, and grabbed my keys. “You ready to go?”
She looked up and wiped her eyes. “I guess so.” She stood up and began to walk toward me. I grabbed her face into my hands, and wiped the rest of the tears off her cheeks. I lifted her face to look at me.
“Why were you crying?” I stared into her eyes.
“No reason. She tried to turn her head away from mine, but I held her in place.
“Tell me why you were crying.” “It’s really not a problem for you to deal with. I said everything was fine.”
I could tell that she was uncomfortable. Why, I didn’t really know, but I would find out.
“You were crying, Kat. Something is wrong. Now tell me what had you crying.” I moved her against the wall, and crouched down so that we were eye level with each other.
Kat took a deep breath in, and diverted her eyes everywhere but at me. “Katherine, tell me what is wrong.” I grabbed her face gently, and forced her to look at me.
“I messed up. That’s it. Nothing you need to worry about.”
Tears formed at the corner of her eyes again, and she looked away. I took her face into my hands again, and brushed my finger over her bottom lip, staring my way into those green irises, hoping I could read her mind. God, I just want to pick her up, throw her on my bed, and make love to her until tomorrow. Instead, I fused my lips to hers, coercing her lips to open with my tongue, so that I could explore her mouth. The sweet taste of her sent my dick straight up. I mapped out her mouth with my tongue, noticing hers exploring back. I felt her body relax, and her hands moved through my hair as I deepened the kiss, pushing her up against the wall with my body, pinning her hips with mine. I tilted her head back and to the side, allowing myself access to her neck, kissing a trail up and down her collar bone and back up to her ears. Reluctantly, I pulled back, placing another quick kiss on her lips.
“You seriously don’t know what you do to me. The control I lose around you. Let’s go, before I lose every ounce of what is left and take you into my room to fuck you senseless.” I grabbed her hand before she could reply, replaced my hat on my head, and walked out the door. We reached the elevator, and I pushed the button for the garage level; still holding her hand, I pulled her close to me. Kat still hadn’t said anything about the kiss, although I could feel her attraction, her arousal, during it. She wanted it as much as I did, or, at least, I thought she did.
We reached the lot and my reserved spots. I decided to take the bike. I could park it easily enough and I wanted to feel her arms wrapped around my waist as we veered in and out of New York traffic. My dick responded at the thought. I handed her a helmet, and sat on the bike, waiting for her to sit behind me.
 “Come on, angel, let’s go.”
 Kat didn’t move.
 “Something wrong?”
“Um. No. Nothing’s wrong. I was just thinking of something, and I’ve never ridden on a bike before.” She was apprehensive, a bit scared. I thought back to our first meeting, and smiled. I knew what she was remembering. This was the same bike that I’d rested against, waiting for her to come out of the bar. I’d had it shipped up the week prior to us arriving. If anything, I wanted to go for a ride.
“Just get on and hold me tight. I’ll do the rest.Trust me.” I winked at her, and held out my hand to help her on. She jumped on and pushed her bag between us, as she wrapped her arms around my waist. I double checked she had her helmet on, and I started the bike. This was going to be fun. Kat tightened her grasp around my waist as I pulled out into traffic. The breeze blowing against my face was a bit cool, but refreshing. I decided to take her to a little boutique that sold the style of clothing that I was looking for. It helped that I was good friends with the owner, Mel. The boutique was small, and out of the way in Chelsea. From first glance, a person might miss it, but I knew I would find the perfect outfit and accessories that I wanted her to wear tonight.

What do you say about yourself? Aren't we supposed to write these in third person? Oh well, here I go! I have been writing and reading since I was able to pick up a pen and read a book. I can't even begin to list the amounts of book that I've devoured over the course of my life; from the Babysitter's Club to R.L.Stein to the classics and the novels of my degrees. I have spent countless hours between the covers of classics during my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Western Connecticut State University, resulting in a BA English: Comparative Literature and a MA English: Professional Writing.
Recently, I have been focusing both my writings and my readings in erotica, BDSM and contemporary romance. And no, Fifty Shades of Grey did not get me on the BDSM bandwagon. If anything it opened the idea up more to me, but alas I have my own opinions on the trilogy.
I am trying to focus my writings on the emotional aspects of the erotic world, the emotional bondage of BDSM. I am interested in what makes people want to be dominant or submissive, the connection, etc. But I do like to read about a good flogging and bondage story too, the smuttier the better. :)

Author BioI can't remember a time when I didn't want to write.  From the time I was learned enough to string sentences together I liked writing stories.  In high school I was the literary editor of our school magazine Sketches and had a series of short stories that I'd written even then.  I'm published with two wonderful publishers, World Castle and Solstice Publishing, and on my own as an Indie.
I live in Florida with my two adult children and my husband of 30+ years.  I have a wonderful dog named Snickers that can even open her own Christmas presents! (don't believe me?  Look below) When I'm not working full time in the insurance industry, I write.  I believe any writer should write because they love the craft. The rest will come in time.  I hope you enjoy reading my stories as much as I've enjoyed writing them. The door to the pub swung open for a tall, ebony haired man wearing an expensive tan suit. Mabe straightened. Riveted, she stared at his strikingly angular face. His chin, grooved by a slight dimple, struck her as sexy.

His gaze roamed the bar, settling on her. Warmth radiated through her entire body. Never had she felt such an intense attraction to a man. Who the hell is he? She didn’t recall ever seeing him in the pub. Her nerves tingled. Resembling a panther, he wove his way through the crowd. Slightly ashamed of her attraction to a strange man at her father’s wake, she turned her back, resuming her position behind the bar. She spoke to several patrons, mentally noting their drink orders on her way.

“No one could pull a pint like your da,” an old grizzled man at the end of the mahogany counter stated. “Smooth like silk he was.”

Mabe smiled. “He was, Angus. We’ll miss him.” She handed a frothy mug to the man. “Here you go. Enjoy that.”

“I will,” Angus declared, raising his glass to her. “To many years.”

She picked up a glass of Coke, clinked it against Angus’s mug. “And to you.”

“I’ll have one of those if you don’t mind,” a deep voice spoke from behind her.

Turning, ready with a flirty response on her tongue, she came face to face with her handsome stranger. His eyes matched the deep rich mahogany of the bar. His smile, while slightly crooked, seemed genuine and swept the words right out of her brain.

“Uh…sure. Name your poison.”

“Guinness?”

Mabe nodded, pulled the beer, scraping the foam from the top. “I’ve never seen you here before. What’s your name, and how did you know my dad?”

His gaze caught hers, sympathy reflected in his eyes. She tried to look away, but she couldn’t. The man was a god.

“I’m sorry for your loss.”

“Thanks. He will be missed for sure.”

“I just realized…this is his wake, isn’t it? A private party?”

She nodded. “It is.”

The man smiled gently. “I’m sorry. I’m afraid I’m intruding. I should go.”

She set the beer in front of him. “Nah, we’re all friends here. It is a private party, but stay if you’d like.” She gestured. “Those are my sisters Meg and Mara. We own the place now.”

“It’ll be hard to run it without your father, won’t it?”

Mabe sighed, leaning on her elbows. “It won’t be the same, for sure, but we’ll do okay. It’ll take some work….” She glanced lovingly around the pub with all its Irish paraphernalia adorning he walls. “Da, loved this place. I grew up here. It’s our place. We’ll make it work.”

She shivered, feeling his intense stare. Her skin burned under the laser scan of his eyes. Her pulse jumped. If the room were empty except for the two of them, he’d be in some serious trouble. He took a sip of the Guinness, still staring at her over the mug.

She licked her lips then broke the gaze. She swiped at the glossy mahogany top with a rag. “What brings you to town?”

“Business,” was his response.

“Ooh, cryptic, are we?” She flirted.

“Suits me for now.”

A man at the end of the counter signaled for her. She held up a finger then approached her guest. She served a few more beers, all the while being extremely aware of his gaze. His allure was more powerful than any she’d ever experienced. Monticello wasn’t full of dashing men in expensive suits, but it had its fair share of good lookers. Lord knew she’d flirted with some from time to time, even dated a few, but none of them stirred in her what this man did.
No longer needed, she returned to him, eyeing his empty mug. “Another?”

He nodded, offered her a smile.

Her knees weakened. She steadied herself by grasping the smooth wood. What the hell is wrong with me?

She pulled his beer, but before she handed it to him she asked, “What did you say your name was?”

He chuckled. “I didn’t.”

She set the mug down in front of him. “Oh, come on. You’re not going to waltz into my pub during my daddy’s wake and not tell me who you are. It’s not polite.”

One dark eyebrow rose. “Not polite, huh?”

“Not at all,” she declared, leaning on the bar, offering him her most dazzling smile.

“Okay then…if you insist.

“I do.”

He held out his hand. Mabe reached out, taking his warm palm in hers. The air between them practically crackled with tension. “Aaron Shaw.”

Her previously heated blood froze. In one swift moment, all the allure she’d experienced earlier evaporated. This is the shark trying to buy my pub. The nerve of this man, waltzing in here, flirting with me, when all the while he’s casing the joint for a future purchase. She grabbed his beer unceremoniously dumping it on his head. The dark brew dripped from his hair all over his tan suit.

“What the hell?” he shouted, jumping off the stool.
“Get out of my pub,” she yelled at him.
