Texas Extended Spring Break Pandemic Method-Writing Sessions
While picking up a few items from the store (and stopping at the toilet paper aisle to take the below picture because its bizarre), I received an automated call from my kids school district informing me their Spring Break had been extended at least 2 more weeks. My guess? Itll probably end up being longer. So, plans changedas they do.
One of my kids was quite happy about that, another was fine either way, and one probably didnt like it so muchor at least thatll be the case in a few days,...

Strolling Into the End of the Year…Sometimes Running
I’m writing this Monday morning from my drink-my-morning-cup-of-coffee chair. I realized I’ve neglected the blog, so I decided to do a post. Warning, it may be a bit of a hodge-podge.
For those of you who, like me, celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend filled with time with loved ones and plenty of nap-inducing food. I just finished off the last of the left-overs last night. I did work some through the holiday weekend, between time with family, but now it’s time...

SORDID SORCERY — SNIPPET 1
NOW AVAILABLE ON AMAZON! THE PATH OF A SORCERER IS RARELY EASYAND OFTEN SORDID.
Oh, this is good, Resmon said. I can see youre going to put up a fight, make this worthwhile.
Oh, Im more than ready.
The smug look on Resmons face disgusted Tal. He had to turn away or he was going to slam his fist into Resmons smugness. Not magic, he admitted, but he knew it would feel really satisfying.
But Tal glanced back at Resmon and saw something which surprised him. Resmons expression had changed, only...

Writer and Reader, A Simple and Honest Relationship
One aspect of writing books I love is how simply honest the relationship I share with a reader is. It’s refreshing.
I write a books. People read them. If they like them enough, they read more and I keep writing more. If they don’t like them, they look for a new author (or maybe give me another shot, if I’m lucky). Both sides are honest in the transaction. I write, and I’ll keep working to make a better book each time around. Readers read what they like. It’s pure and honest. No false promises...

Book News, Exclusive Access Stuff, & the New Merch Shop!
It’s been a good month. Sordid Sorcery (1st in a new series) came out July 6th and is generally well received by readers. I’ve even gotten some great direct positive feedback—which is always good to hear. As of this writing, the book is still holding the coveted orange ‘Best Seller’ tag and helping me keep the lights on and food on the table. Thanks to everyone who got a copy!
I’ve been working on a few things this month, since the Sordid Sorcery release.
The first, of course, is...
