Get Undertow TODAY, Dragonfly for 99 cents, and a HOT Teaser!

I told a reader-friend last week the BIG SEKRIT behind indie authors and these "surprise!" early releases...

The Truth is, Amazon doesn't allow pre-orders for independent authors. So we have to put them "live" a few days early in order to send purchase links to blog tour and release day participants.

What does that mean???

It means Undertow will be out TODAY!

And I'll update this page with purchase links on

Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | iTunes

as they become available! (iTunes is always the slowest...)

AND in case you're still catching up, Dragonfly is only 99 CENTS this week!

Grab your copy Today: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | iTunes

Now for the super-sexy picture teaser featuring Anna & Julian... I have to thank writer-friend Magan Vernon for this one...

See what you think~

On Amazon

It's a big week for me, friends. Undertow is a different, it's New Adult, it's darker and more tragic, it's a little edgy... and I love it so much. I'm anxious to see what readers say.

I hope it's a GREAT week for you~

Undertow Weekend Picture-Teaser

Happy Friday, reader-friends!

We're counting down the days over here until Undertow goes LIVE!

Today I finished formatting the paperback copies, and I have to say, they are GORGEOUS. Thanks again to the lovely Jolene Perry (link) for her beautiful cover.

She also gave me this glowing endorsement for Undertow :

"An incredibly powerful sequel to Dragonfly. I found myself riveted to the last page by the dept of feeling, loss, tragedy, and love in this gorgeously woven story. This is a definite must-read." --Jolene Perry, author of Out of Play

Me = *sniff*

Now, what you've been waiting for, the next picture-teaser for your viewing pleasure...

(My only issue with this one is the girl's hair is too blonde, but that's Anna. I'm making a new one for next week, but the excerpt here is awesome.)

See what you think~

Now she's in an alliance with the man she formerly feared. And if Julian finds out what she knows, she could lose for good the boy she's starting to love.

When he meets Sam, he’s immediately drawn to her curves and refusal to put up with his crap. When Judd learns the truth, can he handle the responsibility that comes with loving a single mother?

Undertow Exclusive Excerpt #1

Hi, reader-friends!

I'm home again, home again and digging out like crazy. It's about to be a bizzay two weeks leading up to the release of Undertow ...

...and I am SO EXCITED!

To get you in the mood, here's a special Journal-Entry teaser from Bill's diary. Bill is Jack, Lucy, & (secretly) Julian's dad...

See what you think:

I released the breath I didn’t realize I was holding and slowly turned away. I walked to the windows to stare out at the darkness. I was beaten. I could never win this fight with her.

“I know,” I said quietly. “I knew you would say that. I’ve been going over and over it in my mind, but I knew in the end you would always say those words.”

Her voice was small. “I do care about you, and if things were different…”

“But they’re not.”

“They’re not,” she repeated.

I turned back and tried to smile through the pain. “So what now? What do you want from me?”

She tried to smile back, but a single tear hit her cheek. It ripped me in two.

“Nothing,” she said. “I’d like to have this baby if that’s okay with you. You don’t have to do anything. I can take care of us, and you won’t ever have to worry—”

“I’m not worried,” I said. “Whatever makes you happy.”

“I’m sorry if you’re angry,” her voice broke. “I’m sorry if… if I’ve hurt you.”

“There’s no need to apologize. You’re right. Of course, you’re right. About everything.” There was only one thing I wanted. “I just… I hope you’ll stay here. I’d like to be able to see you. Both of you. Even if it’s from a distance.”

Her brow creased. “I’m not sure that’s a good idea.”

“I won’t force you, but I wish you would. That way I could help you if you ever needed it. You wouldn’t even have to ask, just let me know somehow.”

She nodded. “I’ll think about it.”

I walked slowly to where she stood and reached down to take her hand. I looked at it a moment, thinking how precious it was to me now. “I want to know that you’re okay.”

On Goodreads She slipped her hand away. “You should probably go.”

I nodded and turned to leave. My whole body ached with the knowledge I could never change her mind. She would never allow me to be anything other than Meg’s husband. It was right, but the pain was far worse than I’d imagined it would be.

For a whole day I had allowed myself to hope a baby might change things for us. But I knew it never would. She was right, we were years too late.

Now for Author Kelly Oram!

Visit them All! I first noticed Kelly with her book V is for Virgin, which I still want to read. And when I saw  The Avery Shaw Experiment , I had to scoop it up.

I'm so happy I did! ASE gets 5 sparkly stars from me! (And I think it'll appeal very much to fans of The Truth About Faking .)

"Aves" and Grayson are working on a science experiment to help her get over her broken heart. He's an "impartial observer" (in a way that's similar to fake dating), but Grayson, the jock/most popular hottie at school, is already falling for Avery, the cute little science geek.

Watching Avery work through her feelings, get over her ideal dream of being with Aiden through dating--and occasionally kissing--Grayson, is fun, swoony, and at times steamy .

Avery's all wounded innocence trying to move on, while Grayson is charming determination to get the girl. So if you love Jason and Harley, you will LURV Grayson and Avery.

Here's the scoop on The Avery Shaw Experiment !
On Amazon
When Avery Shaw’s heart is shattered by her life-long best friend, she chooses to deal with it the only way she knows how—scientifically.

The state science fair is coming up and Avery decides to use her broken heart as the topic of her experiment. She’s going to find the cure. By forcing herself to experience the seven stages of grief through a series of social tests, she believes she will be able to get over Aiden Kennedy and make herself ready to love again. But she can’t do this experiment alone, and her partner (ex partner!) is the one who broke her heart.

Avery finds the solution to her troubles in the form of Aiden’s older brother Grayson. The gorgeous womanizer is about to be kicked off the school basketball team for failing physics. He’s in need of a good tutor and some serious extra credit. But when Avery recruits the lovable Grayson to be her “objective outside observer,” she gets a whole lot more than she bargained for, because Grayson has a theory of his own: Avery doesn’t need to grieve. She needs to live. And if there’s one thing Grayson Kennedy is good at, it’s living life to the fullest.

Run get your copy now (link)!

Kelly Oram is the author of  Being Jamie Baker Serial Hottie V is for Virgin The Avery Shaw Experiment , and  Chameleon . Find out more about Kelly and her books at her Amazon page; and follow her on Twitter | Author website.

Undertow Picture Teaser #2

Happy Friday, reader-friends!

Several of my Indelible sistahs (link) are at UtopYA (link) , where they've been nominated for awards--Rock on, ladies! I am #soproud.

I'm headed down to the hot & sticky south to see all my friends and relatives in La-Miss. Wherever YOU are, I hope you're having a relaxing, FUN holiday!

Now--who's got two thumbs and is ready for more Undertow? (this girl)

Add it on Goodreads *sigh*... Meg.

Pulling the curtain back: The scariest part of this whole publishing process--besides release day--is when I send that first set of eARCs to my trusted beta readers. Will they love it? Hate it? Tell me it's time to resume the old editing job... *chews nails*

That's where we are in the process now, and the good news is so far early response has been very positive. And I REALLY got excited when two of my beta readers sent me long, happy blurbs--!!

I'm happy to unveil a few early endorsements for you, reader-friends. See what you think~

On Goodreads "Undertow pulled me under and left me gasping for air and wanting so much more. I couldn’t stop thinking about these characters after Dragonfly, and now I’ll never be able to get a shirtless Bill Kyser out of my head. A sexy summer read that won’t disappoint." --Magan Vernon, bestselling author of The Only Exception

"Undertow is amazing! The characters are lovely, but they're also flawed--that sort of 'realness' and honesty breathes life into them and is truly refreshing to come across as a reader. This is such a fantastic story with a unique execution. --Kristin Fuller, Goodreads reviewer

Yaay! Happy dance! And ((squeezes)) to Magan & Kristin!

First Undertow Picture Teaser

It's coming...

July 18 is the official release date for Undertow , #2 in the Dragonfly series.

Reader-friends, I confess: I really love this book, even though it focuses on a dark topic --the events that led to the death of Meg Kyser and why they're being kept a secret .

Of course, you have the hopeful start of Anna & Julian's budding relationship for balance, and the bad stuff all happened in the past (revealed Rashomon style, link, through the three journals).

I guess I like it because it's so sadly real and human. Three young people, two highly ambitious, who start out with good intentions (for the most part) and then make mistakes, try to control each other, try to fix their mistakes, make more, mess up a whole bunch of lives... yanno.

I guess in a way, it's similar to the Truth books because there's a message in Undertow . At the same time, it should appeal to Rouge fans, since it's New Adult--meaning the characters are post-high school/college age and it contains more mature content. (Of course, it's not erotica.)

So without further ado, here's the first picture teaser--and let me know what you think:

On Goodreads
I also revised the description. See what you think:

Lemons & Lemonade

Hey, reader-friends! Did you see that super moon last night?

Honestly, that's the second "super" moon I've seen, and I can't tell that it's any different from the regular moon... I'm missing something.

Anywho, today's a special day...

I'm helping one of my FAB critique partners Magan Vernon unveil her newest book, AND the gorgeous cover is done by the one and only Allie Brennan of B Design ! (Who did the cover for The Truth About Letting Go .)

So without further ado...

Don't you love it? Here's the blurb (which I also love ):

A new teen fiction book from Magan Vernon coming this August!
When life hands you lemons, sometimes you have to say screw the lemons and bail.

Seventeen-year-old Bentley Evans had it all. Then her Dad got laid off.

Now she has to move across town to a small apartment and leave her life of luxury for public school and a job at the local burger place. Just when her world seems like it's crumbling she finds solace in the unlikely punk boy next door, Kai Rowe. But as their relationship blossoms, a jealous ex-girlfriend and a secret to tell that threatens to bring disaster back into Bentley’s life.

You can add it to your GoodReads and sign up for Magan's newsletter to get all of the updates.

Magan Vernon is a Young Adult and New Adult writer who lives with her family in the insurance capital of the world.

She is in a very serious, fake relationship with Adam Lambert and constantly asks her husband to wear guyliner. He still refuses. She also believes her husband is secretly an alien, disguised as a southern gentleman.

You can find her ramblings on Facebook | Twitter | Pinterest | and her Blog!
