Want the secret skinny on what inspired A GOOD MARRIAGE? Or get the bottom line on what I hope readers will take away? Or learn how everything I write comes out perfect the very first time? (Oh, wait I mean the opposite of that). Check out this great conversation I had with @publisherswkly. (Link also in bio). Thank you so much PW and journalist Christina Ronaldi!

Besides, I KNOW you all have some time on your hands right now. Oh yeah, and then pre-order the book. You don’t want to be left behind come May 5th.

I love this story so much @notsotwentysomething—you were one of my first review of my first book RECONSTRUCTING AMELIA. It meant so much to me. ❤️

Cheers babes ❤️⠀

I received some amazing bookmail last week before SHTF and haven’t had a chance to share! Kimberly McCreight @kimberlymccreight is one of the authors who originally got me into the thriller genre. Her first novel, Reconstructing Amelia was amazing! I reached out to her long ago on Facebook (before bookstagram or even Instagram existed) to share a review of her book + ask her questions about life as a writer. She graciously answered my questions, plus shared my review on her page! It was my first Book Nook column in Lake Life Magazine (the column I’m still writing today) To have the opportunity years later to read an ARC of her new novel, is just the coolest thing! Thanks so much to @harperperennial

Like many independent bookstores @communitybookstore in Park Slope could use help weathering the storm! While closed for browsing you can still order online or over the phone (details below)—incl. free shipping! AND if you pre-order A GOOD MARRIAGE from them (or any of my books) I will go down and sign it for you! (At a CDC approved place and time).

We need the genius of indie bookstores and we all need stories to escape in—now more than ever.

Lots of my other favorite indies across the country are offering the same kinds of services—consider checking them (or your local store) out. @dieselbookstore @booksaremagicbk @tatteredcoverbookstore @thebookmarkshoppe @letsplaybooks @oldfirehousebooks @parnassusbooks @bsb_savoy @bookclubct @elmstreetbooks @andersonsbookshop @cornerbookstorenyc

Closed for browsing but ready to help.

For the common good, and out of concern for the wellbeing of our staff and customers, we have decided to close Community Bookstore and Terrace Books to the public through the end of March, at which time we will reevaluate the situation.

We will still be selling books, in a variety of ways. We are offering free delivery of books ordered on our website (www.communitybookstore.net), by hand or by media mail. We will also have someone at the store everyday from 10-6 who can take payments by phone and hand over books at the door.

For a small, locally owned store, closing was not an easy decision, but we firmly believe it was the right one, especially for a business with community in its name. We cannot thank our bookstore community enough for its continuous support over the decades. Together, we have weathered other trying times. We are confident we will get through these times as well.

Stay healthy. Be well.
