Joni Cham is the author of In My Mother’s House, a novel about the troubled relationship between a Chinese immigrant mother and her Philippine-born daughter. It won the Special Jury Prize at the Prèmio Tomas: The UST Quadricentennial Literary Prize and was a finalist for the 2013 Philippine National Book Award.
