New Release: City of Scars by Steven Montano

Hi all! Sorry I've been so lame about posting recently. I promise I'll try to do more regular blog posts from here on in. I can't promise they'll be interesting or exciting, though. Having said that, I do have a guest post and a giveaway coming up in the next few days, so make sure you keep an eye out.

Do I write too slowly?

Apologies if this post turns into a self indulgent rant. I'm going to try to make sure it doesn't, but I might not succeed. You have been warned!Anyway, I've been thinking about this for a long time and seeing something on Facebook tipped me over in to writing about it: do I write too slowly? There was a comment on Facebook about why people choose to write independently, versus signing up with a publisher.

Cover Reveal: City of Scars

I first "met" Steven Montano via Twitter and promptly picked up his first novel, Blood Skies.  I loved it. Viciously real vampires in a post apocalypse setting? Hell yes! We got to chatting (turns out Steven is a top bloke) and he even wrote a guest post for me on his favourite writing tip.

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a teaser for Leigh Ann Kopan's amazing debut novel, One. Today, I'm happy to be one of the hosts for the final teaser post. Yes, that's right, One is almost here. Tomorrow, in fact.

Anime Heroes

OK, so this isn't a writing or a reading post exactly, but there is a loose link! Anyone who knows me (or has read any of my recent author interviews) will know I get a lot of my inspiration from Anime.

Stars in Her Eyes – Blog Tour

I'm pleased to welcome Clare Marshall to my blog, as part of the blog tour for her newest release, Stars in Her Eyes. Now, I might be completely biased (we spell our names the same way and we used the same cover artist), but in my opinion, Stars in Her Eyes is a book you must read if you enjoy young adult science fiction.

The perils of being a UK author

The subtitle of this blog post should be: Why isn't Amazon being more helpful? My blog post on reviews last week prompted an interesting comment on Twitter from Peggy Rose Parker. She suggested that one way to decide if a review on Amazon is valid or not, is if it's marked as being a "verified purchase".
