Titles
So, this isn't exactly a teaser... and yet it kind of is. RaineyCloud9 is working on book covers for me and I've had to come up with titles for the upcoming Stronghold and Bridal Discipline books. In case you haven't been playing along at home, The Bridal Discipline series is going to be a spin-off of the Domestic Discipline Quartet; the first book features Hugh and Eleanor's cousin Philip Stanley, the Marquess of Danbury and his new bride Cordelia. So the characters from the DDQ will show up now and then, but they're def side characters. Still, it's fun to say hello =)
Anyway. I'm going share the titles of upcoming books (along with my goal release dates)! Granted, they are subject to change if I think of something better, but I'm really happy with the current line-up, so I don't think they're going to. And, of course, each title is a hint about the book. TBD = To Be Determined and TBA = To Be Announced... and there is def a difference, because TBA means I already know who, but I don't want to throw out that big a spoiler yet. Suffice to say, the TBA has a name and has been mentioned in at least one of the Venus/Stronghold books and that's all I'm going to say.
Stronghold
Jared & Leigh's book (Fall 2015) - Breaking the Chain
Andrew & Kate's book (Spring 2016) - Bound to the Past
Michael & Ellie (Fall 2016) - Stripping the Sub
Olivia & TBD (Spring 2017) - Temping the Domme
Stronghold Novellas
Jake & TBA - Not A Dom
Angel & Adam - A Stronghold Surprise
Jessica, Chris, & Justin - Venus in White
Bridal Discipline Quartet
Philip & Cordelia (Summer 2015) - Philip's Rules
Felix & Gabrielle (Winter 2016) - Gabrielle's Discipline
Arabella & TBD (Summer 2016) - Arabella's Taming
Benedict & TBD (Winter 2017) - Benedict's Commands
Grant & Lydia (Summer 2017) - Lydia's Penance
Now... looking above, those are ALL the Stronghold stories. I might add another novella or two, but it's very possible I won't. There is another small Stronghold novella series that I'm planning for the baby Doms in Olivia's class from Pieces of Stronghold, and those might end up being full-on books, but not entirely sure yet. Also, I'm not 100% sure when the novellas will be out, as they'll be inserted in between some of the books. It's possible Jake will get his own full-length book, rather than a novella, and he'll be the last man standing. We'll see =)
As to the Bridal Discipline novels, those are all I have planned and then I'll be moving on to something else after that.
And, again, these are all goal release dates. Life sometimes happens or things take longer than I think they will (or shorter, like Pieces of Stronghold did), but this is what I'm hoping for. And in the midst of all of this, I'll still be writing stuff for the website, although I obviously don't write as frequently as I used to, and I'm also working hard on getting Marriage Training submitted to an interested publisher =P It's getting an almost complete re-write to make it less dark, more romantic, and more traditional. So far I'm really happy with what it's turning into and I'm really hoping that it might be available sometime next year (depending on how fast publishing stuff moves, I have no idea).
Anyway. That's what's coming up in the series. Feel free to speculate.... loudly. LOL. I really do love hearing people's theories and, I won't lie, sometimes the theories make me start thinking in a diff direction than I was originally going. More than once, a reader's comment has made me change my plot outline... plus I always just love knowing what people are thinking!
Next blog post will be a teaser for Philip's Rules =)

The Other Stuff
So Pieces of Stronghold has been out for a week (see previous blogpost if you missed that) and so far everyone seems to have really enjoyed it, which makes me happy =) I certainly had a lot of fun writing it! I'm taking a break from Stronghold now, as I often do in between books, and starting a new Victorian series which is a spin-off of The Domestic Discipline Quartet and will be called Bridal Discipline. Unlike the DD Quartet, each story will only have two POVs and each have a HEA ending, so the books will all be self-contained. I got hit by the writing bug BAD and have been writing like a madwoman since last week. Already am working on chapter 4 of the book. I have no idea how long that will continue, but I'm riding out the wave as long as possible!
Anyway, if you're finished with Pieces of Stronghold and are looking for something else to read, there are some recent books just come out =)
Toria Lyon's second book, Playing Around, in The Scarlet Series is out. I read the first one, Playing for Keeps, and enjoyed it so I'm looking forward to digging into this one =)
Muffy Wilson, one of my fellow YSD authors, recently released The Para-Portage of Emily, an erotic romance with themes of love across time and a little bit of a supernatural bent. It kinda reminded me of a gothic romance, but without the bad guy. It's the first book of a quartet and the writing is quite beautiful.
Another YSD author, Pablo Michaels, also has a recent release if you're into MM stories =) Affairs of Men's Hearts.
As for me, my fingertips have been burning up on writing the first of the Bridal Discipline books, Philip's Rules, I haven't gotten started on anything for Lit yet, just because I've been so in the mood for the BD book, and when a mood like this hits, if I don't use it I lose it. I can't remember the last time I wrote almost four whole chapters in a week.
I did also manage to finally finish the edits to Venus Transcendent this weekend, so if you re-download it from wherever you purchased it, it will be better edited. I also submitted it to YSD for their servers and paperback production. Once it's out in paperback I'm going to have some kind of giveaway for a full Venus Desiring autographed set =) I'm also planning on bundling the quartet for the e-readers as soon as I can sit down and do all the tedious work necessary for that.
That's what's happening in the world of Angel right now... also hoping to get the website up and running by the end of this month, which will mean I can also get the newsletter up and running! =)

I Lied - Pieces of Stronghold Release
Guys, I lied.
For once, I've been able to push a release date FORWARD.
Guess what's available to buy today? Only 99 cents! Please don't forget to leave a review =) Reviews are super helpful! And I really want to know how people feel about this novella since it's different from any of my previous Stronghold books (or any other book that I've released).
Available for purchase on Amazon, Barnes and Noble or Smashwords.
The Stronghold Doms and their submissives are anxiously watching as Jared and Leigh, both on the rebound from seven year, emotionally turmoiled, relationships take the first tentative steps towards something more than friendship. Leigh isn't sure she's a submissive, but she's intrigued and spending more and more time in the club. Jared isn't sure he can handle a relationship with yet another woman who can't fulfill all his needs, but he can't deny the sunshine that Leigh has brought back into his life.
With the past snapping at their heels, their friends worried about their futures, their choices could make or break the happiness of their entire group of friends.
This novella is told from multiple points of view, including Jared, Leigh, Olivia, Justin, Chris, Jessica, Patrick and Lexie. It can be read as a standalone, but is much more fulfilling when read as part of the Stronghold series. This novella contains BDSM, whippings, spankings, domestic discipline, and lots of hot, steamy alpha males and sassy subs getting it on.
Pieces of Stronghold is approx. 58,800 words long and includes a bonus mini-story that was released in a free newsletter for Christmas 2014 by YellowSilkDreams as a chapter from the point of view of Will and Gina.

Homeschooled Ch. 10
I know it's been a while since I've posted anything for Lit... it took me a while to finish this chapter while I was scrambling with Pieces. Now that I'm editing, I've got more time for writing other stuff and I finally finished the Homeschooled series for Lit. YAY! This means that, when it comes to my free stories, I can finally move on to reader requests =) Those of you who have made requests have all been VERY patient with me about waiting. No I'm not sure whose request is going to get done first, but I will work my way through all of them before starting on a new series.
I feel really good about having finished some of the stories that I started, literally, almost a decade ago. Granted, there are still more that need to be finished, but it feels good to have done some of them (and finish my New Years Resolution from last year LOL). I am also looking forward to the short brain break for me, since the reader request stories will all be standalone shorts instead of chapter stories, which means I don't have any plot or anything to keep track of. Which is nice. My brain needs a bit of a break while I figure out changes for Marriage Training and also start a new series, and have the Stronghold series percolating.
Only ten more days before Pieces of Stronghold will be released! I'm so super excited =) Editing is going really will and I'm making some small changes to the story (in addition to grammatical corrections) that were made by the beta readers, and overall I'm really happy with what it's turning into. Keeping track of all the different POVs was hard sometimes, but the end result is def worth it. Plus it was fun to go back and visit with some old and friendly faces. =) Hilary and Liam have a chapter, so do Lexie and Patrick, and Jessica, Chris and Justin have the second to last chapter. There are a couple of new perspectives as well, but I gotta keep some mystery involved so I'm not going to reveal those =D Obviously Jared and Leigh get the most chapters. Everyone shows up though, at one point or another, even if they didn't get a chapter from their POV.
Anyway... In my previous blog post I also mentioned what the next series I'm starting will be. It's kind of a spin-off of the Domestic Discipline Quartet, and those characters will make occasional cameos so we'll get to see how they're doing, but overall this new series will be entirely new characters. It's going to be the Bridal Discipline Series and the first book will be called Phillip's Rules. =) Super excited about it!
But, currently, not as excited about it as I am about Pieces of Stronghold coming out! I can't WAIT to get reader reactions... I won't lie, I became a little bit of a $hit-stirrer... and I'm dying to know what people think. WOOT!!!
I'll be posting a last teaser sometime next week, so keep an eye out for that =D

Awesome Weekend & Upcoming Stuff
I had the most incredible weekend...
Gonna leave a picture of one of our cosplays up for you guys to peruse today. =)
We had an amazing time at AwesomeCon. I got to go to panels for Alex Kingston (Doctor Who's River Song) and George Takei, I stared at multiple celebrities in their booths like they were gerbils in a cage, I walked right past John Rhys-Davies and didn't make a fool of myself (could have totally touched him if he hadn't had two bodyguards), met and took a picture with Alex Kingston and Arthur Darvill (another Doctor Who actor - Rory!) who complimented us on our Cosplay (and subsequently rendered me speechless because of how complimentary they were when I was already mired in an epic struggle not to hardcore fangirl all over them) and had lots and lots of people taking pictures of us.
Conventions make me happy. I just love all the people coming together and enjoying the same epic nerdy things. I also love to cosplay. Only about 10% of the people who show up to conventions are actually cosplaying and it's kind of like becoming a mini-celebrity. And... well... theater person. I'm an attention whore, what can I say? It's also awesome to be recognized for working really hard on something, and we def worked hard on all our outfits.
Only 3 months till the next Con!
Eventually I'd love to make it to a romance convention. It's not quite the same, cuz no cosplay, but I bet it's a lot of fun =)
So now that the weekend is over... it's back to work on writing!!!! I've had a couple of family / friend issues pop up this past week (everyone's okay, mostly), so I can definitively say, there won't be a pre-order for Pieces of Stronghold (sorry for the false alarm) but it will definitely be out on June 15. So there's that at least!
In between editing, I'm also going to be working on getting the last chapter of Homeschooled out on Lit (I know, it's been forever). After that I'll be moving on to the reader requests for Lit =)
I need a break from Stronghold to let things percolate before starting on Breaking the Chain, so I'm going to be finishing Marriage Training for the publisher (unfortunately that process is a lot longer so it will still be a while before it's available to read) and starting my next Victorian domestic discipline series.
Hugh and Eleanor's cousin, Phillip Stanley, the Marquess of Dunbury, is quite inspired by his cousins' recent marriages. After all, as the only child of his deceased parents, he needs to secure his own line and title with an heir, and having met with Hugh and Hugh's friends, he's realized that he could have a similar marriage, which would suit him much more than the usual bloodless ton alliance. At a house party, he meets Cordelia Astley, the Dowager Baroness Hastings. She's young, beautiful and shy, and in desperate need of a protector as her late husband's heir has tossed her and her step-daughter to the wayside with very little in the way of funds to support them. Not only that, but, as the third wife to her late husband and coming from the middle class for her dowry rather than her social status, she's rather trampled on by her demanding and selfish step-daughter, Gabrielle. Phillip is entranced by her sweet and submissive personality, her need for someone to bolster her confidence and courage, and he's sure he knows just the man who will be able to take her step-daughter in hand.
So there's all that to look forward to! In the meantime, hopefully I'll be getting my newsletter and website up and running before the Pieces of Stronghold release, but either way, I'll be updating the blog on the regular =)

Pieces of Stronghold Release Date
So I'm working hard this week on finishing up Pieces of Stronghold. Homeschooled has been completely neglected in the meantime, but I'll be writing the last chapter of that as soon as I manage to finish this darned novella. =D Not really darned, I'm having a good time writing it, but it's much longer than I initially wanted (which means that it's also taking longer to write) and much more involved than I realized it would be. However, it's also a lot of fun slipping into old character's POVs and having a little visit. After writing a chapter for Justin, Chris and Jessica, I'm looking forward to their eventual novella even more than ever. I may write another multiple POV novella after this one or I might not, but it's certainly been an interesting experience. I'm one chapter and the epilogue away from finishing it. WOOT.
Release date for Pieces of Stronghold will be June 15 and RaineyCloud9 did a gorgeous promo poster for me.
Twitter has already gotten the cover reveal =) It'll be up on Facebook this Friday and I'll post it to the blog sometime next week. Facebook gets a lot of the little teaser excerpts from the book, so it only seemed fair that Twitter gets the pictures first.
It's possible that I may be able to make this one available for pre-order, but only if I actually manage to finish it before this Friday. I'm going to be at a nerd convention all weekend =)
Right now it's looking like the website up next month, which I'm super excited about, as well as finally getting a newsletter going. Yay! Soooo things are moving along. The one downsides is that doing more of this kind of stuff does take away from time I could be spent writing / editing / etc. but I mean hey... that's just how the cookie crumbles.
I originally meant to go straight into Breaking the Chain after Pieces, but I think I might need more time for the story to percolate, so I'll either concentrate on Hebe, the second book in the Planets Apart series or work on another historical DD book. Possibly just work on both until one starts to take precedence lol. I just need the break in between series books, helps me think and work things out before I start writing. I know that people have been missing the Victorian DD stuff too, since the Domestic Discipline Quartet was completed. I've got a few ideas for new books, which may even be set in the same world. Should be fun =)

Another Pieces of Stronghold Teaser
I think I'm about 3 chapters away from finishing Pieces of Stronghold =) There's still editing to be done and whatnot, even when that's over, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be able to get it done by the end of this month. *fingers crossed* I would say definitely, but there's a LOT going on IRL this month... I'm taking a long weekend this weekend to go to the beach for a friend's birthday, next weekend I'll be helping a friend move her stuff into my place (she's taking our guest room for a bit) and finishing up costume pieces because the weekend after THAT is AwesomeCon and my cosplay needs to be on point. Sooooo yeah.
I still haven't packed for beach weekend either. And we're leaving tomorrow night after work. EEP. So that's why I say, *fingers crossed* I'll be done with Pieces by the end of this month =)
In the meantime... here's another teaser.
******
"You look happy." Olivia poked Jared in the side. The big man was grinning at his phone in a manner that she could only describe as goofy. Something she hadn't seen in... she couldn't remember the last time she'd seen him looking like this. Not since the first year or so of his relationship with Truckstop, and this big goofy grin had seldom been seen then either. "What's up?""Nothing." He didn't exactly try to hide the phone from her, but he tilted it away from her, his body twisting slightly. There was a note in his voice that was almost petulant. "Ooo, it's a girl isn't it?" she teased, going up on her tiptoes to try and peer at the screen."It's Leigh," called Freddy from his place at the front desk. The sweet little subby was grinning, even though he had hunched his shoulders, already knowing that he was in trouble for telling on Jared. The Dom glared at him from across the lobby.Olivia raised her eyebrows. "Looking for a spanking, are you sweetheart?""Yes?" The little sub's eyes lit up at the same time that an anxious expression passed over his face. He might want it, but he knew it was going to hurt too. Olivia just chuckled."I'll let Mistress Erin know that you need a lesson," Olivia said."Not you?" Freddy asked, looking disappointment. He flinched when Olivia sent him a sharp look, but she couldn't really hold it. Freddy was a sweetheart, and he was adorable, and wonderfully submissive, but not at all her type. Unfortunately, lately he seemed to have a bit of a case of hero-worship for her, starting from when she'd taken Roland down to his knees for getting in Lexie's face a few weeks ago. Olivia appreciated the sentiment, but she wasn't interested and she didn't want to hurt his feelings."You're a better match for Mistress Erin, Freddy. Besides, I'm teaching a class tonight, remember?" She turned back to Jared, so that she didn't have to keep looking at Freddy's sad puppy-dog eyes. "So Leigh's texting you? What's she saying.""It's just stupid jokes." His tone was dismissive, but his eyes were lit up from within. It was all Olivia could do not to indulge in a little dance for joy. Jared hadn't been too appreciative of her last dance of joy, when he and Marissa had finally broken up.She hadn't been sure whether or not she approved of whatever was going on between him and Leigh - after all, Jared definitely had certain needs which had gone unfulfilled for too long - but right now it looked like they were good for each other. At the very least, they could understand each other. Who knew, yet, if anything would come of it."Stupid jokes? I see.""She sends them every day at the same time." Apparently Freddy really wanted a sore butt tonight. Olivia didn't mind, since he was obviously her best source of information right now."Oh really?""Butt out, Olivia.""You know I don't offer advice unless asked," Olivia said, patting Jared's arm. She'd noticed a long time ago that people often didn't appreciate advice when it was early enough to really do some good; they preferred to wait until they'd messed up beyond all reason and were desperate for someone to help them out. So now she waited to give her advice when it was actually going to be listened to, even if a lot of problems could be avoided if people just came to her first instead of waiting till they'd fucked everything up. "I'm just going to say that I am very, very happy to see you looking so happy.""We're not dating.""Okay." Olivia kept her tone mild. Jared eyed her, hesitating. "I might have sort of taken her on a kind of date.""Uh huh." Now that was fascinating. Out of all of their friends, Jared was most often the one to sit quietly and listen to everyone else. It was hard to prod him out of his shell. Push any of the others hard enough and they would eventually crack and fess up; Jared would just retreat like a turtle. Not giving him a real response often yielded better results, but not always. He had to have something that he really wanted to share. "It was just some star-gazing," he said gruffly, shoving his phone back in his pocket. "Sounds like fun.""It was."Olivia waited, but apparently that was all he wanted to say. Still, it said a lot that he was even willing to talk about it. He often dropped little tidbits to her that he wanted disseminated around the group."Alright."He smiled at her. Olivia patted his arm again and headed into the club, almost relieved that he hadn't asked for any advice this time. She had no idea what she would have said. Leigh was a sweetheart and Olivia liked her a lot, but she was also getting over her own long-term relationship. She also had no personal experience with BDSM, even though she'd spent months in the club and had heard a lot of stories at girls' nights. Going by the way Jared was acting right now, he definitely had some developing feelings for her, but Marissa's hooks had always been in so deep... Olivia had hoped in the past that someone else at the club might be able to draw him away from Truck Stop, but it had never happened. She'd always managed to pull him back, manipulating his feelings of responsibility. The fact that Leigh was floundering a bit now that she was single, that she was obviously still having trouble getting over her own ex, might be just what Jared needed. She could understand what he'd gone through better than anyone else in the group, and at the same time, her own emotional pain would be something that Jared would feel the need to help. Leigh wasn't broken, far from, but she was cracked. The combination might be exactly what Jared needed to finally get away from Marissa.
Every Day I'm Rambling
Haven't had a ramble post in a while... feel like I have a fair amount to ramble about =)
I went on a bit of a writing spree for Pieces of Stronghold earlier this week, which seems to have slowed for a bit but I think it's probably going to be picking up again. I'm just figuring out how to get from where it is to where I want it to go... also, sometimes when plot gets interrupted for a sex scene, that slows me down a little. But after going several chapters without one... well, I feel like it's due. Plus it's fun to catch up with Hilary and Liam =) I wasn't sure I was going to be doing their POV or not, but it turns out I was!
One thing is, if you like the series, this is def going to be a novella that you don't want to miss. There's some serious shit going down. I'll make sure that you don't NEED to have read it in order to enjoy Breaking the Chain, but there's some pretty significant events happening. Speaking of BtC; RaineyCloud9 has sent me a few cover mock-ups and it's going to be sooooooooo pretty!!!! I'm so excited =) My goal right now is to get Pieces out by the end of this month and BtC out by the end of July / beginning of August.
IRL I've got a million things going on... Renaissance fairs, a beach trip, AwesomeCon, putting together cosplays, and going to see Avengers for the second time. Freaking loved it. Anyway... costumes costumes costumes! I love dressing up. Looking forward to doing it tomorrow.
I've been slacking on finishing up Homeschooled because I've been spending every free minute I have working on Pieces. It's just where my head is at right now. Lots of motivation. I just finished one of the scenes that I've seriously had spinning around my head for MONTHS and it was such a relief to get it out. Got more like those coming up. It's going to be a very packed little novella. I say novella... sooooo novellas are technically about 20,000-30,000 words long. A novel is about 70,000. My so-called novellas tend to be about 50,000 and my novels are usually 100,000 or more. I think the Poker Loser Trilogy was the only time that I stuck to true novel length. Pieces is currently at about 35,000 and I'm going to try to keep it to about 50,000. I hope. Ugh. Still lots of story left to go into it.
I'm still gonna start the price at 99 cents, but I may up it to $1.99 after a month or so of being on sale if it gets up to actual novel length.
By the way, if any of you has picked up the Poker Loser Bundle, or if you've just read the books before singly and don't mind writing a review for the trilogy as a whole, it would be much appreciated!!!!! =) It needs some review love.
Soooooooo I'm reading this book series, which I love, but the author is starting to do some cliche things and I'm just like ARGH. I really hate the double standards for men and women; where men get to put their dick in whatever they want but the heroine has to remain pure and wait for him to figure out his shit, no matter how much it hurts her. BULLSHIT! I like to try and mix things up. I've got a Victorian story that I started working on a year ago and still write a little bit of when I'm in the mood (eventually I'm going to actually sit and concentrate on it) where the guy is going to have to keep it in his pants the whole time while the heroine gets to explore her options. It's a LOT of fun to write.
I'm also doing some stuff in the Stronghold series where I turn some cliches on their heads... at least, I hope that's what I'm doing LOL. One of my beta readers said something to me the other day, making an assumption about where a particular story line is heading, and in my head I laughed maniacally... cuz they were wrong! lol. Is it wrong that I enjoy that so much?
That's me. Right there on the bottom. He even has my squinty Asian eyes. =D Hopefully everyone doesn't hate where I end up going lol. An author's greatest fear! (No but really... well, most authors. I could name a few... argh. But that's why I stopped reading their books). I have to say though, some of the new characters that I'm introducing in Pieces are already delighting me in ways that I hadn't realized they would. Also, I'm introducing 4 new Doms that are going to get novellas, although they will NOT be part of the main Stronghold group. Yup. I'm gonna do a spin-off of a spin-off. I can't help it. One short scene and they had me hooked. I was already writing stories for them in my head.
Anyway... if you follow me on Facebook (or if you don't, you should), go to my page and "Like" my most recent status to find out a tease-spoiler about Pieces ;) no, but seriously, please do, I'm honestly dying to share this.
Have a good weekend!

Now Available: Poker Loser Trilogy Bundle
I've been getting SO much work done on Pieces of Stronghold the past few days, it's making me super happy. I'm really enjoying the different viewpoints and putting together the beginning of not one but TWO stories (because sometimes a love story requires more time than can be satisfactorily fit into a book) and I'm aiming to have that finished by the end of this month.
In the meantime... I spent all Sunday afternoon putting together the Poker Loser Trilogy Bundle. I've noticed that a lot of other authors are doing this with their older books and I figured it might be a good idea; particularly for this series which isn't exactly a traditional romance. In the future I'll also be putting together bundles for the Venus Quartet and the Domestic Discipline Quartet. As I was putting together the bundle I also did some extra editing (and if you already have the Poker Loser Trilogy books, I updated those as well with the new edits... nothing major, just adding a sentence here or there and fixing any mistakes I saw). A big thank you to RaineyCloud9 for the, as always, gorgeous bundle cover =)
Unfortunately, blogger is sucking and not letting me upload the picture. But you'll see if when you click one of the links below:
