Don’t forget

Don’t Forget …

Regardless of how other people treat you, see you, or don’t see you.

Regardless of how you feel.

Regardless of your circumstances.

Regardless of where you’ve been, what you’ve done, or what has been done to you.

Don’t Ever Forget THE Truth.

God always sees you, loves you, will never fail you, will never forsake you, can always forgive you, always restore you, and always redeems.

God loves you!

Jennifer Mersberger, my guest on Living Joyfully Free Radio

Jennifer Mersberger is an author and speaker passionate to teach women they matter to God. She felt she had a normal, ordinary life. She grew up in a nurturing family, the youngest of four kids. Raised in the Catholic faith, Jennifer learned early the name of Jesus.

While she may have known Jesus’ name, she’ll quickly admit she didn’t KNOW Jesus. Jennifer didn’t form a relationship with the great I AM until she was an adult. It wasn’t until her kiddos began attending preschool at a local church that she realized something was missing.

Shortly after joining the church, Jennifer dedicated her life to Christ. She didn’t want to just know His name; she wanted to know His heart. It was then that God showed her that her “normal” wasn’t so normal after all. It wasn’t normal to be sexually assaulted by your teenage boyfriend. It wasn’t normal to suffer from an eating disorder. It wasn’t normal to lose an unborn child.

Shame and fear had kept Jennifer from reaching out to the One who could restore her. Although she may have walked through pain and trials in silence, she didn’t walk through them alone. God was with her before she ever called out to Him, pouring out His extravagant love through every season of life. With this new revelation, God gave Jennifer a passion — teaching women that they matter to God.

Now filled with abundant joy, her heart is to encourage women to see God in their everyday lives and equip them to know Him more. Jennifer, with a unique point of view and quirky sense of humor, she is far from “normal.” And God uses her gifts to show how an ordinary life is simply extraordinary!

Without Expectation

I’m blessed to be on Penny Zeller’s site!

I’ve been a blogger and writer for years. I’ve attended writer conferences and mentoring clinics, been blessed with a wonderful literary agent, and worked on honing my craft. I thought I knew where God was leading. Then last year, He opened a door to become a radio host. Me? Whimper.

After much prayer, and God’s assurance, I jumped into a new adventure. Equipment, software, and domain names were purchased for Living Joyfully Free Radio.

To read the rest, please join me on Penny Zeller’s site for “Without Expectation“.

The Grace Gift

I’m blessed to be on Robin Prater’s site (Robin’s Nest) today!

An empty, two-lane farm road stretched in front of me. A perfect day and time to test how fast my little car would go. A teenager feeling my freedom, I put the pedal to the metal. Yep, stuck my foot on the gas and let my tiny engine whine and scream.

Freedom!

I probably clocked in at seventy-five miles an hour (pretty good for such a small car). I was flying.

And that’s when I saw him—the patrol car sitting on the side of the road. I was caught. And I knew it had to be obvious.

I heard You call

I heard You call. Just a little whisper. And I rushed about my day thinking of You, but I didn’t stop. You called, and I thought I could squeeze You in later by taking care of the things crowding my day.

And I wondered why I felt out of breath and so alone and the world seemed so cold.

I’m so sorry.

My house is cleaner, my Facebook, Twitter, and email friends have been answered, but I haven’t spent time with You.

And my soul is so sad, because I know I missed Your call. I might have missed something You would have shared in secret. And I know I missed the best part of today. I might have missed the one thing You really wanted me to do – the one thing that would have blessed my socks off.

I’m so sorry.

Oh Heavenly Father, don’t let me miss a moment with You.

Your repentant daughter comes before You begging for Your grace. Thank You that Your mercies are new every morning. Please don’t let me miss Your call again.

“My heart has heard you say, ‘Come and talk with me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’” (Psalm 27:8 New Living Translation )

Looking for hope

Along life’s journey we hope for certain things—good things for ourselves, our family, and our friends.  However life doesn’t always turn out like we planed and our hopes are sometimes shattered and fractured. We spend our lives looking for hope.

And often we focus so hard and so long at that one thing, that one person, that one situation, that we miss everything else. We miss the things God is doing, the people He is sending our way, the situations He is orchestrating to help us grow closer to Him.

People will fail us, circumstances are ever-changing, but the one constant is God. He is hope that never fails.

“Why am I so sad? Why am I so upset? I should put my hope in God and keep praising Him, my Savior and my God. Lead me by Your truth and teach me, for You are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in You. Let Your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in You alone.

Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord. So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD! The Lord looks after those who fear him, those who put their hope in his love.

“And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. I find rest in God; only He gives me hope. You are my refuge and my shield; Your word is my source of hope. I am counting on the LORD; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in His word.

“Those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the LORD. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’”*

*Psalm 42:5 NCV, Psalm 25:5 NLT, Psalm 33:22 NLT, Psalm 27:14 AMP, Psalm 31:24 NLT, Psalm 33:18 NCV, Psalm 39:7 NLT, Psalm 62:5 NCV, Psalm 119:114 NLT, Psalm 130:5 NLT, Isaiah 40:31 AMP, Jeremiah 29:11 NLT.

Remembering those who have lost loved ones. May the God of hope bring you comfort and peace.

Gone in a Second!

With God’s Grace …
Through the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ …
Comes mercy and forgiveness.
You don’t have to clean up, get your life in right order, or become perfect before you come to Christ.
He opens His nail-scarred hands and invites all to come in.
And when you invite Jesus into your life, your sins are gone in a second! New life, new heart, and new beginnings!
