Signs Mary’s baby is actually Moriarty.
Inspired by @bassfanimation ‘s giggle-worthy contention and a post comparing Moriarty to a cat. Warning, this just devolves into lunacy, So! Let’s get to it.
1. Mary looked uncomfortable in several scenes. Pregnancy, especially when you’re carrying a psychopath, often causes acid reflex. I contend that fetal Moriarty would cause her heatburn based on this scene.
2. Babies instinctively throw their arms out when they think they might fall as a protection mechanism. This is called the Moro reflex. Moriarty demonstrates it here:
3. Moriarty likes to cuddle. Babies also like to cuddle.
4. Some babies need to be swaddled in order to calm them down before bed.
5. Babies are unable to feed themselves.
6. Most babies are easily amused by shiny objects.
7. Babies’ critical thinking skills are underdeveloped.
The signs were all there! Viva season 4!

Speaking of Mary! My story Moving on/Making do just hit 10K today! I’ve been watching it creep slooowly toward this milestone for weeks now and I’m so pleased! This was the first of the three times I’ve written Mary POV now. I’d never before written from the perspective of a character that I loathe and it was an interesting exercise! I worried that I’d made her too sympathetic and that people would like, but happily, they didn’t. Lol. The story is half Mary’s perspective (Moving on) and half John’s (Making do). It’s one of my less-read fix-its, but I’ve always been fond of it. Thanks for having given it love, folks! :)))))

This blog has been reblogging Mary hate since January 1st, 2014, starting with this post where we all first noticed the liar deduction. It was scary hating on Mary back then, kids. That sort of thing got a person unfollowed and sent anon hate by Johnlock shippers and non-Johnlock shippers alike. Johnlockary was a big thing. It was horrible. It was frightening, honestly, to see so many people thinking that this psychotic killer for hire was some cute pregnant lady with her unhemmed jean cuffs and tacky shirts, with her gaslighting manipulations and actual revelation as the villain who killed the title character. It’s such a relief to me that this has become the common, prevailing opinion, at least among Johnlockers! When I wrote my first anti-Mary post, the first of many, I think I lost 50 followers that day alone. It was scary taking a stand like that. But now that the Mary wank (though I always say it’s not wank if it’s the truth!!) is flowing freely on my dash again, this blogger is rejoicing. :P Bring it, friends! Bring it hard!

Wow, ahhh, thank you for that!!!!!! I’m - wait, is it bad if I say this? - glad that you found it so devastating??? :P That story is one of the dearest to my heart of all of my own stories and I’m terribly pleased that it had such an impact on you! Thank you!!!! I do hope that the second story makes John’s position in it all just as sympathetic, though! Everybody is short-sighted sometimes! But yeah, they’re totally meant to be read as a pair!

I can’t get over how graceful his feet are! Look at that little hop, the way his feet curl in once he’s fallen. He should look like such a dork and yet it’s more endearing than anything. God, I love this man!
