One of the things I love most about their dynamic is that they bicker and they object, but they always do what the other tells him to do. John rolls his eyes and grouses and yet still comes to get Sherlock’s phone out of his shirt pocket for him. Sherlock makes the indignant face in the second gif here, yet his hand is already on the wound giving pressure, as John told him. They listen to each other. They bicker, but they respect each other enough that they also listen to each other and take the other’s directions without question. The questioning is really only for show. I love that. :)
