Sometimes I think about the Job minisode and how it implies that Aziraphale has more faith in Crowley than in Her.

Because after Aziraphale discovers Crowley didn’t kill the goats he practically dares him to smite the children. He bets their lives on Crowley being Good. Aziraphale doesn’t play chicken, he’s too cautious to do that.

He trusts Crowley’s plan more than he does The Great Plan. (Or at least heaven’s definition of it)

When Aziraphale lies and swears on his word as an angel, he already accepted that he would Fall to protect these children. His love for humanity is almost blasphemous, and so is his faith in Crowley
